  1. No way they put Fales on the practice squad, he would get claimed in a heartbeat. They will be handcuffed to carry 3 QBs, which we will need to get used to. I can see Palmer eventually becoming a coach too.
  2. Yeah, tough one as he didn't have his scouts in place and a different coach that had a large part on picking the personal. Shea should look better playing off the line.
  3. Definately a deep draft. We have solid building blocks now. Down the road, this could be viewed as a great draft.

    UDFAs

Just shows how much the mock draft sites and myself know about players. Many guys on this list that were on mocks as high as 3rd RD picks.
  5. Athletic OT that can add 10-15 lbs and be better off inside at G. Played for Boise who was 6th in sacks allowed (.77/game).
  6. Charles Leno Jr OT, I am always good with OT help Dand autocorrect...fixed from Lane
  7. My guess is a high talent with character issues....Purifoy?
  8. Also add Florida DBs Pourifoy and Roberson. Both had early high grades.
  9. From cbs sports: draft grade 51. Chicago: Ego Ferguson, DT, LSU: The loss of Henry Melton to free agency was a big one for the Bears, but they grab another explosive, talented interior rusher here in Ferguson. He'll get lost against the run at times and needs to stay low off the snap, but he possesses unique quickness and strong hands, and should challenge for a key interior rusher role right away in Chicago. GRADE: B-
  10. I am on the Lyerla bandwagon also, so no beef if they select him.
  11. Was Dion Bailey S drafted yet? I think he'd be a 7th rd steal if I missed where he went.
  12. He transferred after 3 years at Cincinnati, so he wasn't always in the balmy Miami area.

    WTF moment

We filled the major holes. Every year a I fill a sheet out with players at their positions, year contract expires, and thoughts of depth becoming a starter. Over the past 3 years Emery had his hands full, and has filled dire needs. Soon enough, they will have the freedom to draft to upgrade.
  14. like having an extra tackler on punts also. He is punter and gunner!
  15. That would be great too. I see the Bears using McClellin as a rush OLB if they shift to 3-4.
  16. They are going to move him to SS, just kidding. He is a good pick, says he over thinks punts at times and is inconsistant on hang time. Needs to get the mental part to catch up to his ability.
  17. I agree also. The Bears lost everything on D and when Briggs went down they lost the captain making the calls. I still have hope for Greene to replace Briggs and Bostic can grow into the MLB.
  18. So much for Emery saying developmental QBs are not worth drafting. I like Fales, can't wait to see the jokes with his last name from GB fans
  19. I like those two, but you have no idea about Shea at LB
  20. We still have Frey who hasn't looked bad.

    So...

Best player available or needs in depth. I would like a LB, TE, QB...
  22. Good pick, best all around RB on the board and he had 1st round talent. DAT would be nice, but could he be a 3 down back ?
  23. I am thinking Dion Bailey, I think he can be a solid SS and possible FS if needed. How do you think he would do here if he makes it? Then I'd like to double up on the Safeties and get Ed Reynolds or Kenny Ladler in RD5.
  24. Round 4 and 5 Brock Vereen S Yamin Smallwood LB Pierre Desir CB Keith McGill DB Zach Mettenberger QB AJ McCarron QB Kareem Carey RB Jordan Zumwalt LB Marqueston Huff S RD5 Dontae Johnson DB DeAnthony Thomas RB Shane Skov LB Max Bullough LB Ed Reynolds S Tre Boston S wildcards Kelcy Quarles DT DaQuan Jones DT Any TE Kenny Ladler S
  25. DLine has been completely overhauled.
