As long as he can get the Bears a Superbowl W, I will be alright with a QB that isn't Manning or Brady. Those guys a few and far to find. Keep drafting QBs and maybe we find a Brady.
  2. Tevin Jenins - 37 snaps, 0 pressures or sacks given. 10 days to recoup and game 6 should be improved with Whitehair getting practice all week working on those snaps.
  3. I would need more, but traded #1 overall to Raiders for pick 3, pick 73, future 1st and 2nd. Bringing in a top WR to pair with DJ, stud LT and C, then doubling up on DE and DT again. Also ensuring we have another deep draft in 2025.

It takes time that Bear fans have little patience for. I hope he keeps it up because having 41 different starting QBs over 20 years of waiting for one to blossom stinks. We finally have a GM that knows how to build. Injuries so far are shadowing this but it will show.
  5. I agree with the team would have a much better record if they knew what they could do. It took getting a couple of players healthy and learning how to play. I have some concerns about WR2 but Kmet is stepping into that role. Fields has a ways to go to cleanse the memories, but it is happening.
  6. We have to remember they are playing with many new players. This is year two of a difficult offense to learn too. Plus the amount of injuries has changed many aspects with making sure lesser talent is ready to go. If game 1 was Denver and game 2 Washington, I feel the Bears could have won the GB game and been more competitive against TB/KC. If they can continue to make progress, then the sky's the limit. The amount of talent and depth they can add after the season should make the Bears very competitive. As for Fields, he can get himself accumulated to the league with the good protection and better talent at WR. He has not had that to grow and if he continues like the last two games, he can become what we hoped this last offseason. Trade the #1 over all for 2 future 1sts and more and wowzers.
  7. We need to get a bag of balls with that.
  8. If they keep this up, Caleb can stay at USC. When Fields has the fire, he makes the team exciting. Wright, Davis, and Jenkins make the line nasty. I would love to see the Bears build on that.
  9. I am telling myself they are basically a new team. They need to learn to play together.
  10. How about Stroman and even Terrell Smith CB. Playing well for reserves
  11. Welcome back Tevin Jenkins! With Davis and Jenkins, we can finally see how this oline was envisioned. Oh, Whitehair back to Center but has to snap with the left hand.
  12. Seen this today too. If this is the case, what is plan B
  13. If true, I hope the D has some Butkus inspiration tonight
  14. I heard they offered Kreutz $20 an hour? he said at least they have increased the pay from his last offer.

Dexter getting about 36% snaps and Pickens 25% per game. Easing the big guys in, I expect there playing time to increase as the season progresses. They might get more push? Compared to Billings 53% and Jones 66%

Fields basically let the cat out of the bag on Claypool. It was definately his interview when he was asked by the media if he thought coaching was using him wrong. Fields said Claypool would bite his tongue next time and he hopes he get back with the team soon. Claypool showed some playmaking in the preseason before he got hurt. Something happened that he soured, but maybe going to a contender will revive him. He has the tools physically but his ego is ruining opportunity.
  17. Mooney comes down to Scott's development and maybe Velus too.
  18. Being so short handed, they probably needed the roster spot. We will be getting an update soon I would expect
  19. Those two would make better OLB if they change schemes after the season.
  20. The Matt LeFleur tree branch hasn't looked to good. Nathaniel Hackett was a bust in Denver and Getsy has not done anything to say different. Hiring offensive minds that came into position with all-time great QBs in place should now be red flag for GMs.
  21. Let's say the Bears do lose out and Carolina does too and they get the honors to draft Caleb and another blue chip (WR, DE, OLT, DT or CB). Do they sign Fields 5th year to control him, see if he grows and possibly increase his value? Or would you take a 3rd or 4th. Competition can make or break a player and Fields really hasn't had much to compete with.
  22. Heard a report that Brisker holds one arm different and it looks like he has a brace to support a shoulder. That could be his issue for being playing soft. If the Bears make a scheme change, how much time does that add for the D to gel. Seems like an ugly cycle. But new blood at QB could be all it takes for the fans to buy in.
