All bad news must come to an end and it finally did as of about 5 minutes ago. My wife and I just found out today that she is pregnant with our 2nd child. The doctors believe its fairly early within the past couple of weeks(still celebrating the fact that we got Cutler I believe) We will be going in in a couple of weeks to have an ultrasound done.

LMAO, I don't know what to say to that.

NFO is right. Per the trib, there are 3 bones and the one that he injured is the middle way which controls the movement of his hands and he could do some serious damage to the nerves as well.
-
I don't either, but this way I wouldn't have to hear how Big Ben is the greatest of all time. And no I am not making this up. He thinks Big Ben is the greatest of all time and Santonio Holmes is now Mr. MVP to him.
-
Does either one have anything left though is the question.

Sweet, I would love nothing more than a shut out and Big Ben get hurt for the rest of the season. That would make for a GREATTTTT day at work come Tuesday(don't work Mondays)

This past game Berrian didn't even catch a ball to further your point.

Great point NFO, EVERYONE is to blame for this loss. Cutler played poorly, WR/TE's need to run through there routes and get more aquainted to whatt Cutler can/will do. RB/FB/Oline must do better at blocking. Cutler proved when given time he will destroy a defense, which he did during the 3rd quarter Sunday night when he had a perfect QB rating during that period. Defense must continue to step up though. In the Trib Haugh pointed out that the coaches believed it was a run and the play call called for Afalava to cheat up to stop the run, however in defense of Afalava, Payne was supposed to go back to protect deep and give protection on the back side, which he did not and this left Vasher on an island.
-
During the game we MUST go deep more than just a couple of times and test the new Safety who replaces Troy P. The experts are saying that LeBeau will do what he can to mask there play but we must do whatever we can to exploit that huge weakness.
-
Great point. On one of those in the 4th quarter I believe it was we were running the ball well with Forte but it looked like Turner was more inclined to settle for a FG instead of at least trying for FG, which is crap. I don't think we even tried for the end zone during the trip into the Red Zone.

The INT to Knox you need to ask your self 1 question. Why in the world do you stop in the middle of your route. Knox was supposed to continue running a slant. If he does the ball doesn't get picked and Knox has a good gain once again. This goes back to the fact that Knox pointed out himself at the Bears fan convention when Pix and I went, he said the 1 area that he must improve in his is route running. He has tremendous speed and has very good hands. He is a work in progress however after just 1 game I think we all see the upside from our WR's.

Some would argue that GB's Oline is better than Pittsburgh's Oline. If this is true and GB had no answer for our new look Dline under Marinelli just imagine what we could do to Big Bem. I have a Pittsburgh that I work with that has been giving me crap all day and I would love for us to win and knock Big Ben out of the game for a long time. He thinks that Charlie Batch would be just fine and I would love to put that one to the test lol.

That is a great point.

Sorry Connor, my rant wasn't directed a person directly it is geared towards those casual fans who are all about "what have you done for me lately"
-
The problem is that he plays in Chicago and I agree that the Chicago market is one of the worst to play for. It doesn't matter what sport we are talking about. The casual fan is all about "what have you done for ME lately" instead of looking at the big picture. Thank god Cutler doesn't let it get to him unlike several players for the other sports teams here in town. I will refrain myself for pointing out names since this is about football.
-
I think the game plan was to initially come out throwing the ball to soften them up and then to start running the ball, however Turner got away from the game plan in my opinion.
-
I even saw an improvement though with him returning kicks. Yes he is still dancing around and trying to make something out of nothing, however he never actually lost yards, which is an improvement.
-
There was several times that Forte stayed in to block. There was several times when there was 2 guys coming in against forte so he was screwed to begin with.

See, this is why some players HATE playing in Chicago. 1 bad game and some are ready to throw him under the bus and run him out of town. My god can we just get real for a second. In the first half he played like crap but the Oline didn't help much the either. In the past we have complained very vocally about the inability to make half time adjustments. Cutler in the first half was 8 of 22 with 3 INT's, and then in the 2nd half he came back and help lead the team down the field and get us the lead with less than 2 minutes to go. He ended with 277 yards passing. In the past we would have gladly taken this. Also with the QB's we have had in the past like Grossman once he throws a couple of picks the game is over with and we would get trounced. Cutler throws 3 picks however still showed the ability to put things behind him and help lead. I don't like that in the first half we got away from running the football and then we got to running the ball in the 2nd half. This I will blame on the coaching, however like someone stated before you can blame the coaching staff about something in every game. I have heard some people just chastize our WR's and TE's. Lets keep in mind that GB did an excellent job at constantly double teaming Olsen. He was never open. Of course I do wish that Clark would have ran through his route in the end zone, then the ball doesn't get picked. Our WR's could have done better, however Bennett finished the game with 7 receptions. If this continues he will end the year with 112 receptions(holy crap that would be amazing). Also Knox had 2 catches for 82 yards, right there he is showing the big play threat and his ability that he could have an impact season this year, while most of us agreed that it would be in the future and not this year. Now I get to Devin Hester, he is looking more and more like that impact player and WIDERECEIVER. Thats right I said Wide Receiver. He had a good game with 4 rec for 90 yards and a TD. Oh yeah that was a great through where Hester never slowed down and he made a perfect catch. Makes things a lot easier knowing that your QB has the ability to actually put that ball in front of you and "let him go and get it" I believe was the words that Cutler used after the 1st preseason game. Also just something that I saw and even the Packer fan that was over at my house saw it as well. I also have a small case of diabetes although Cutler's is worse than me. In the 1st half we saw that Cutler looked very pale and very sick looking and I believe that he need an insulin shot. When they came back out after HalfTime he had color back in his face and didn't look so sick anymore. For those who don't know an insulin shot can start helping almost immediately after administered. Sorry about my rant but this is just a few things that I just had to get off my chest.

This entire morning I was talking to my wife about this. I totally expect us to move Briggs inside, move Roach or J. Williams to play on the outside until Pisa can get back. Is there any definite word on how long he is out. I don't know much about how long it takes to recover from a PCL. I also expect that we will do everything in our power to get Derrick Brooks in. Like La Confora said he has strong ties to Marinelli and Coach Smith and knows this defense and its not like he can't play anymore. I was very impressed last night with our entire DLine. The Packers Oline, especially BarByre(sp?) had no answer for Ogun and I saw Anderson flying around everywhere even Brown got into the action. I believe that GB has a better Oline than Pittsburgh so next week will be interesting considering how bad there Oline is and they can't run or pass protect well at all. At this point i am more worried about Pisa as our Defense played very well last night. We held Rodgers to under 200 yards passing and they never did find much room to run.

I just want to know how long our injured guys are out. Way to many injuries.
