With the 64th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New England Death Star select: Doran Grant, CB, Ohio St
Could play CB or S in the NFL and Patriots value versatility.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Stinger226) are on the clock...
with the final pick in the first round, the Super Bowl Champions and greatest dynasty in professional football , the New England Patriots select:
Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State
(33). Tennessee Titans (jason) is on the clock
i was thinking this same this earlier today. There is not any better option out there so i guess just stick with him. I like what this management and coaching staff are doing so far so i will not question them over this.
keep in mind that we are rebuilding this team (i think). So if we need to get rid of Cutler and suck for a year or two then so be it. This team sucks and needs a lot of things to be competitive again. I say build from the inside out i.e. OLine and DLine first, then lean towards building the defense. You can win in this league if you play solid defense, able to run the ball a little, and convert on third down.
I actually like Kaep and don't think S.F. used him properly. He is not a typical drop back passer...he needs to be moved around where he can pass outside the pocket or tuck and run. He is not a fit in Chicago but would be ideal in Chip Kelly's spread offense.
only for one year...McCourty has been excellent for a while. He is going to cost more than i would rather pay and the 2 for 1 mentioned in this thread is a better way to go in terms of money
BINGO! We need to fix a lot of problems. Trade down, get more picks and draft smartly. The draft is a crap shoot but the more players we can get the better.
not sure we have the personnel to run his offense. We would need to add a quick WR, another TE and Cutler would need to be willing to learn. What it would do is make the OLine better since it is a quick pass offense which requires the line to not have to block as long.
If Fox thinks he would be good, i am on board. My worry would be Cutler
I think if we want to build a defense, we start with Suh and go from there. I know he will cost a lot but he could single handily answer the DLine and usher in the attitude era and a whole new line of thinking
well, giving that this will take a few years to build this team back up to where it needs to be...i say OT at #7 and Bryce Petty with our second round pick.
just for the record...when someone pulls this thread from the archives 5 years from now...i am going on record to say i am 100% neutral about the hiring of Pace
