Best draft in a long time
this was a great draft. It made me think the GM and coach knew what they are doing. I have not had that feeling in a while

Random Draft Prospect Thoughts
Don't like: Landon Collins, S, Alabama Like" Sean Mannion, QB, Oregon St

TalkBears Community Mock Draft 2015
With the 64th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New England Death Star select: Doran Grant, CB, Ohio St Could play CB or S in the NFL and Patriots value versatility. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Stinger226) are on the clock...

Garrett Grayson?
I agree and like Mannion as well. Could be a solid pick to develop

TalkBears Community Mock Draft 2015
with the final pick in the first round, the Super Bowl Champions and greatest dynasty in professional football , the New England Patriots select: Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State (33). Tennessee Titans (jason) is on the clock

Stevie Johnson
he makes Marshall look sane. Ill pass.

Mort: Cutler will be the Bears QB
i was thinking this same this earlier today. There is not any better option out there so i guess just stick with him. I like what this management and coaching staff are doing so far so i will not question them over this.

Bears closing in on Pernell McPhee (OLB)
great signing!!!
-
Sean Mannion
keep in mind that we are rebuilding this team (i think). So if we need to get rid of Cutler and suck for a year or two then so be it. This team sucks and needs a lot of things to be competitive again. I say build from the inside out i.e. OLine and DLine first, then lean towards building the defense. You can win in this league if you play solid defense, able to run the ball a little, and convert on third down.

49ers taking calls on Kaepernick
I actually like Kaep and don't think S.F. used him properly. He is not a typical drop back passer...he needs to be moved around where he can pass outside the pocket or tuck and run. He is not a fit in Chicago but would be ideal in Chip Kelly's spread offense.

2 for 1
only for one year...McCourty has been excellent for a while. He is going to cost more than i would rather pay and the 2 for 1 mentioned in this thread is a better way to go in terms of money
-
Let's play a game
that would be a quick way to rebuild. Love it
-
Cutler and Brandon
great post. Forte is good but his money can be used elsewhere...and like you said, there are RBs in the draft that can come in and produce IMO.
-
TalkBears Community Mock Draft 2015
I would like to give it a try this year...i would also like to be the Patriots GM
-
Fantastic Mock
BINGO! We need to fix a lot of problems. Trade down, get more picks and draft smartly. The draft is a crap shoot but the more players we can get the better.
-
Rumors of Charlie Weis being spotted at Halas Hall
not sure we have the personnel to run his offense. We would need to add a quick WR, another TE and Cutler would need to be willing to learn. What it would do is make the OLine better since it is a quick pass offense which requires the line to not have to block as long. If Fox thinks he would be good, i am on board. My worry would be Cutler
-
Terrance Knighton anyone
I think if we want to build a defense, we start with Suh and go from there. I know he will cost a lot but he could single handily answer the DLine and usher in the attitude era and a whole new line of thinking

John Fox Officially hired as new HC for Bears
with Fox as head coach, you might see players actually wanting to play for the Bears. He is a tough coach but players love him. Good, solid hire
-
What Are Your Picks For The Bears at 7
well, giving that this will take a few years to build this team back up to where it needs to be...i say OT at #7 and Bryce Petty with our second round pick.
-
Bowles
Damn, i really wanted him for the Bears.
-
Schefter: Bears high on Gary Kubiak per sources
i am OK with Kubiak ONLY if we get a solid DCoord. I still prefer either Bowles or Quinn as HC
-
Lance Briggs on Carmen and Jurko
i agree. Once Url left there was zero leadership on that team. Screw Briggs, he should of stepped up after Url left but he didn't. no respect for him.
-
Ryan pace new gm
just for the record...when someone pulls this thread from the archives 5 years from now...i am going on record to say i am 100% neutral about the hiring of Pace
-
Jameis to Go Pro
He is Byron Leftwich with lots of baggage. I'll pass. I would rather wait for Hundley or Petty
