  1. I like who we have reight now and look forward to see if Rideau can pick up where he left off last preseason and win a job.
  2. I think Brandon Rideau is going to be a pleasant suprise this year.
  3. The really key will be if we can get more pressue on the QB from our front 4 which automatically will make our secondary better. That is why I am have the Bears address DL early in the draft when the top WR's were off the board.
  4. Grizz - I was only joking about CC.
  5. I did not know this until reading it on talk chalk let s hope history repeats itself often, very often! http://www.chicagobears.com/index.html Bears fourth-round pick D.J. Moore, a cornerback from Vanderbilt, intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass last Oct. 18 at Georgia. (It’s the second play on Moore’s highlights on our Web site.) Stafford fakes a handoff to the left, rolls to his right and launches the ball deep down the sideline. Running stride-for-stride with receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, Moore leaps high into the air to pick off the pass at Vanderbilt’s 2-yard line. Moore picked off six passes as both a junior in 2007 and a senior in 2008. This could also be why we did not draft MM when he was there at #49!
  6. Joe never seems to stay healthy so I would pass. Besides I heard a rumor that when Chris Collinsworth is not doing Sunday Night Football than he will be volunteering his WR expertise to the young Bears receiving corps! You know he was a great WR with the Bengals. I think he is jelous of the attention Dion is getting for his Prime "U" program.
  7. They do something similar over on the SOXTalk for players in the minors. I think they have one person per prospect to follow and give a farm report thread for each player. Very cool idea. You could organize like scouting personell director and have members assigned into different college football conferences and or by position and they will post specific prospects updates and reports regulary. Then you can coordinate a hot list before next year draft and then see whom the Bears actually draft. Just some ideas to build onto yours!
  8. Devin Aromashoud 6'2 201 ?????? PS -- will be the looser among Kinder / Iglesias Earl Bennett 6'0 203 -- will be involved from the get go John Broussard 6'1 176 cut Rashied Davis 5'9 187 ????? CUT Devin Hester 5'11 190 ??? #Primary Target Juaqin Iglesias 6'0 210 -- will be worked into the rotation early Derek Kinder 6'1 210 -- will make the squad as he proves he is healthy again Johnny Knox 5'11 185 -- Will provide some big plays as a rookie Eric Peterman 6'1 200 PS agreed Brandon Rideau 6'3 198 ?????? -- Cracks the starting rotation I really like this young group of WR's especially since we revamped OL and got a pro bowl QB! Now we just need to get some chemistry and good play from our hopeful new FB: Lance Louis to pave the way for Forte and Company.
  9. This tells me they are not putting all their eggs in one baskets: Bowman played one good game and then was lost for the season due to injury. I think this is smart to have more competition for our sore spot on "D" -- FS. I like this idea! Beside Graham is a really physical tackler and seem to do fairly well in coverage.

  11. Cutler did pretty well last year with some young WR's and no DEF! So I think unless a veteran comes available that we can not pass up we will stay with the group we have right now - hopefully a few of the rooks will step up. But I would not rule out a trade: Keep and eye on either Boldin or Edwards to see if they continue to be a problem for the respective teams.
  12. I would go OT Beatty, Pace is a stop gap and Beatty could develop in a year to be a book OT with Williams.
  13. Mike Mayock does! He is big and athletic / versatile - not a bad option since the top WR are gone.
  14. So what are we going to do with #49?
  15. I would be very happy with this draft? Like going 2 WR especially Robo and love picking up a FB!
  16. I would tend the agree that drops are inevitable star on non star WR. However, even when a reciever is able to beat his defender to get open deep he can still help the team by strecthing the field to open up the running game etc. The biggest probalem with the Bears old WR's no longer on the roster is that they were unable to get any sort of consistent separtion and combined with an inaccurate deep passing QB made it so when they dropped a catchable pass it hurt that much more since the Def did not respect anyone as a deep threat other than Devin.
  17. I believe Mohamed Massaquoiis the WR JA was describing as "Moose-esque" on the Bears draft video part 3 on ChicagoBears.com
  18. Yes there is no doubt the Bears are doing there due dilligence on the WR prospects. If you watch the draft video "Inside the Draft pt. 3" on chicagobears.com there is a clip of Lovie, JA and Turner in a meeting discussing WR's and without mentioning names JA is describing a prospect as a player who he predicts will have a career similar to MOOSE. I wonder which prospect he is refering to?
  19. I definatley really like Robiskie if we could get him in the 2nd but would also like a speedster like Johnnie Knox in the 5th or 6th round to develop.
  20. I pretty much stated this in an earlier post: my take on our offensive weapons We could have some really good mismatches for sure -- just hope Turner can get the right call and personell groupings aligned.
  21. I think the Bears will probably draft a WR to develop and utilize G-Reg more at WR while having Kellen Davis and Clark at TE. This would give Cutler some big targets and some nice hands. Olson is probably as fast as Reggie Williams any way plus he already knows our offense. Now this probably would not be the base offense but we would have receivers on the field with the following heights: Olson: 6'5''; K.Davis: 6'7''; Clark: 6'3", Hester: 5'11" and Forte at 6'2" is a rec threat out of the backfield. Talk about mismatches for opposing DEF! Olson K.Davis--Pace-Omyale-Krutz-Buenning-Williams--Clark Hester Cutler Forte
  22. Side Note: Mcdaniels wore a frickin hoody for his press conference in Denver; what a choad! He really did learn from that no-class belichick! Everyone at the Bears press conference was wearing a nice suit but that is what one expects from a Class Organization! Also, the local sports radio host "Mike Evans & co" were saying that Cutler would bad mouth Denver at his press conference when in fact he showed maturity and class and would not elaborate on the details other than I know there are thing both side wish they would have done differently but that is in the past and I am a BEAR!!
