  1. It is real embarassing that a city as great as Chicago has to put up with such mediocracy. Fix this team by selling the franchise to Marc Cuban!
  2. I agree with what alot of folks have already said "Love the Forte pick". The Bears need to learn from the past so they don't live in the past and Forte allows them to turn the page on a turd "CB". Kevin jones is as good or better than TJ so it is like we have him still here but a bigger version. The Bears need to pay attention to the offensive side of the ball like the last 2 drafts and get away from having a lopsided draft like we have seen where one side of the ball has been ignored. Right now it is obvious the Bears need to increase talent at OL, WR, QB, FB and sprinkle in depth for DEF & ST. I also have to admit that overall Orton's play has been above my expectation and he has proved to be more than serviceable veteran but the team should continue to look every year at trying to upgrade for the future at the most important postion on the field, QB. Look at NE and GB as great examples: they continued to bring in guysd even though they had a franchise QB and were able to get a nobody step and be pretty darn good i.e. Cassells for Brady, who's exceptional play made Bledsoe expendable. The Bears need to doi this!!!
  3. NO to TO! I would rather have steve smith or Boldin heck TJ Housh........ would be a better fit! We need a play maker not a team wrecker!
  4. I agree with most of your points except Lloyd, who has done a good job when healthy this season and is our most polished reciever just wish he was tougher/faster. Davis runs nice route, gets open only to drop first downs and needs to step aside for Bennett / Rideau. Devin is looking better every week. I would also add I can't stand the bad decisions being made by this coaching staff so they need to go!
  5. Too bad the Giants will not play there starters the entire game against the Vikes becasue they will want to rest some for playoffs.
  6. Never hear that one before and I love it!
  7. I agree and I would like to see B. Rideau out there as well. Davis needs to be bench for his performance the past few weeks.
  8. And we did it without using Turner's fav play FB dive!
  9. Too bad we drafted 4 7th rounders and passed on a fullback like Peyton Hillis! The Broncos grab him in the 7th.
  10. We also need to add a bonafide FB. To bad the Bears did not nab Peyton Hillis!
  11. You should of had drafted him! But good to hear he is owned by a Bears Fan!
  12. Can hardly believe it myself -- the Bears offensive play calling actually adapted to counter what a defense is doing! I hope this trend will continue!
  13. Offense: I really like how the Broncos are put together offensively. I really like how Cutler is developing and love his young weapons and schemes around him but there Def is atrocius. Other Considerations NE with Brady, Dallas and Green Bay. Defense: I like Chicago (the more agreesive version not so much a big fan of cov 2); Philliy; Jacksonville and Steelers. Like fast LB and hardhitting ballhawking S and DB's , DL that can get sacks and stops for losses. Dislike bend but don't break D! Like 3 and out "D" best! ST -- Bears (Hester) nuf said. Coaching: Men who have a solid game plan but willing to make adjustment to win! -- Belichik style -- Chi not so much.
  14. The older I get the less I agree with being a sports traditionalist. I want exciting and cutting edge and more respect for what we can do offensively! Yes, I did love the way we pounded the rock in week one against Indy but we were able to dictate the pace and control the line of scrimmage. Week 2 has shown that right now if we do not control the line of scrimamge for 60 minutes we can not adjust to compete in a shoot out ala teams like the Broncos, Dallas, Philly, and Greenbay! In Baseball I think both leagues should have a DH casue I can't stand watching the pitcher bat. Pitching and def are very important in baseball as is running the ball and keeping the opponent out of the endzone in NFL. But when it is skewed to far one way or another than you have a tough time being a legitamte contender in the NFL ala Chicago (Run / Def Oriented / Pass deficient) or Detroit (Pass Heavy/ No Run/ No Def) which usually spells doom worst case and best case one and done in playoffs! When the deficiencies are so apparent and you can not adapt it is a matter of time unitl an opponent can competely dominate and take away a strength (running the ball) and forcing a team to win by showcasing a weakness (passes beyond 15yds) - good luck! After watching the dynamic offensive performance of Dallas and Philly tonight we need to stand up to the good old boys at Hallas Hall who get of the bus running. I say NO to running the bus to nowhere and get the offense playcalling back on the side of the people (fans) and vote for REFORM in Halas Hall! In my opinion teams like Phi and Dal have the right approach to putting a team together! They have a much better balance and thus more versatile when facing an oppenent becasue they can run, have above average def and can pass to score points when the game dictates needing to do so. If you were in charge of REFORMING the beloved tell me what type of system and personel you would go with and why!
  15. At least go to a spread with a 4 WR set or with a 3 TE set spread and allow Orton to quick snap and option pass or keep and sneak for 1 yd! PS - TE K. Davis was on the field for the FB trip and actually helped stop Mckie for the loss of 1yd as he was pushed back into him by the DEF.
  16. I agree 2 fumbles is unacceptable and too Bad Harris is not with the Bears -- hindsight 20/20!
  17. Not sure why the Bears did not challege that play but they scored anyway so it does not matter. Horrible play calling. 4th and one they need to spread the field and then if notheing is there I would have be happier to see a QB sneek than the FB dive!
  18. I would think that just maybe Matt Forte should be in the mix for a DEf POW -- by helping the O keep the DEF fresh by keeping the chains moving! Probably week 12!
  19. I did not realize the first part of the commercial was the same commercial. Did not realize until I paid more attention the second time I saw it -- very cheesy but funny!
  20. BB - There seemed to be alot of Bear fans in attendance and they could be heard on TV -- what was your observation?
  21. You think Minny would sign a guy like C. Simms ?
  22. I like the navy on navy look at home as well and the white on navy for road.
