  1. Here is the summary: the local morning am show on espn, the hosts gushed about the broncos draft and they even had JMcDaniels on the show. For all of those who complain about JA and LS just remeber which side of the trade we are on. Things could be far worse in Chicago. Collin Cowheard flat out said the broncos are a mess and highly question JMcD picking Tebow in the 1st and passing on Dez Bryant. The drive home former Bronco Alford Williams was disgusted with the trades up for Tebow (and hated the trading of a 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders to move back into round 1 to get Tebow) Furthermore he thinks they drafted a WR with their 1st pick who can only run 2 routes and could not believe they passed on a talent like Bryant; whos character flaw was that he lied to the NCCA about having a relationship with Dion Sanders; which he did nothing wrong but thought since they were investigating he was afraid and that was why he lied. The co=host D-Mac seemed to like the broncos draft greatly and could not understand why Alford was so down on the brocos draft. Alford said he would rather the Broncos pick up Jmarcus Russell should the Raiders cut him than drafting an option QB (Tebow) in the 1st round. I think Alford Williams and Colin Cowheard are right; the day coach Josh cam to Denver was the begining of the end for the donkeys.
  2. I will update you after I listen to the morning and evening local sports guys during my commute. I personally think Josh McDaniels is an idiot. He will regret passing on Dez Bryant. I do not mind the Tebow pick just not sure he needed to get him in round 1. With all the picks the donkeys had in the last 2 drafts they could have rebuilt their OL and DEF and made a move on SD in the West.
  3. No we won't; JA will trade down for more picks since he did not do it this year!
  4. I like the pick. How many years have there been post on this forum gripping about not drafting a QB. This is the first draft in a few years that I recall the Bears not reaching on picks. My grade for the Bears draft: A- 1st Round: Jay Cutler, best QB in the draft if he were in it he'd would have been a Ram! 2nd Round: no pick; can't believe the NFL did not give the Bears a conditional pick somewhere in this draft. 3rd Round: Major Wright; we may not all agree that he was the BPA but he certainly fills a need with out reaching. 4th Round: Corey Wooten; most feel a top tier DE talent before knee injury and think his upside is worth the risk - good pick. 5th Round: Joshua Moore, We need CB depth and he seems like good value here. 6th Round: Dan LeFevour; QB did not expect this pick but like the idea. Better than what this team has done in the past 6th and 7th rounds 7th Round: J'Marcus Webb OT; one thing forsure is that he is big! Additonally; I bet that he is a better pro than J'Marcus Russell. Seems like a low risk high reward pick that I like in the 7th! This may not have been a flashy draft but I really like the fact that JA managed to fill needs without trying to be to cute. Since I live in the Denver area It will be interesting to see how the Broncos turn out next season after all the wheeling and dealing they made.
  5. My wife and I just watched the Blindside Saturday night and I can't stop thinking about the Miachael Oher story - great flick! Hopefully Webb can be a steal for us in the 7th!
  6. J’Marcus Webb, OTHeight: 6-8 | Weight: 328 | College: West Texas A&M http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1620417
  7. Melton will probably kick inside to DT.
  8. Maybe the should trade Ginn back to the man who drafted him: Cam Cameron now the OC with the Ravens.
  9. In that case; I don't want any part of Hamlin on this team. Rather have a young guy who is makes mistakes but plays hard and gets better each week.

  11. I read somewhere that Hamlin had struggled due to playing through woth some nagging iunjuries. Are you able to shed any light on this?
  12. I would not trade olsen and a #3 for an number 2! That would not make much sense at all.
  13. I really like both draft options: nice work men!
  14. I live in Denver, so I would like to pick for them if nobody has selected them. Since I am 3 years older than Josh McDaniels; I think I am more than qualified.

    Possible Guard

I recall that Bazuin was drafted with injury issues and health was a concern.
  16. Sounds like Louis has a mean streak like Kruetz. How can the NFL punish Lance when his offense happended while he was a student at SDSU?
  17. Fourth Round Larry Asante, SS, Nebraska: strong safety prospect. Doesn't have the range to play free safety, but has zone coverage skills that none of our current SS candidates can equal. Great hands for the interception, reads quarterbacks well, and loves to hit. Mike Brown played at Nebraska; is Asante a Mike Brown Clone?
  18. I still would have like Peyton Hillis who the Broncos just traded to the Browns as part of the Quinn deal including a 6th rd draft pick. Bears easiliy could off landed him in the draft a couple seasons ago.
  19. Richie Incognito (G) is available and when the Rams played the Bears last season he played with fire and a nasty demeanor. Anyone think Incognito would look good next to Olin and have Garza backup?
  20. The Bears Peppers signing certainly must have motivated the Packer to stop messing around as they re-signed veteran LT Chad Clifton.
  21. Not sure how good Kerry Rhodes is but he was dealt to the Cardinals for 2 picks ( 4th & 7th). http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AkPX...p&type=lgns
  22. I agree that this is a QB driven league and if you don't have a talented passer you will go no where. To support what NFO is saying; think for a moment about WR's that left the Bears - B.C. (before Cutler)over the last 3-4 years. I seem to recall them mostly all being more productive with their new respective teams: Gage, Berrian, Wade, MM, etc. I think we all know and understand the reasons. I know Cutler had a tough first year but if you look beyond the turnovers; you may have noticed something that is known to exist in our region; mainly in Indy, Green Bay and Minn but not actually scene in the "312" in forever (the Passing Game not bigfoot!). The Bears offense became more confident over the last quarter of 2009 and opposing defenses certainly had to account for the pass for the first time in eons. This year the "O" will take major strides especially if we can cut the t.o.'s by half. With the addition of RB Taylor we will have more production from this group not necessarily balance but emphasis on the quality part. I am highly optomistic about our core group! Adding a FS like OJ Otogwe is the next peice and we could have something special this season. The only MUST for the 2010 Draft: The Bears need to draft quality depth for OL, DB, LB and stop reaching for guys like DM, Melton etc before round 6. PHILLY and NE draft very well year in, year out. Why? It is quite simple: draft healthy high IQ football players over raw athletes. Our scouts and GM need to trust the film and be a little less concerned about how players perform in shorts. I am not at all concerned about the draft picks we traded for Cutler especially since the Bears have a tendancy to strike out with top picks any way. So if JA and CO. just keep it simple instead of swinging for the fences maybe they can get some quality depth with the picks they actually have to get us through to next year when our 1st pick in the draft will be number 32 overall!
  23. Solution: Cut McKey and Keep Dez Clark!
  24. How is it tampering if Carolina announced last week that they had no intention of franchising Peppers this year an that they were going to all him to become an UFA?
  25. You can count on Lovie drafting Major Right and developing him into Major Wrong!
