I'm kinda curious if they think cutler had a concussion. It's odd to give up that early and put in Campbell.
-
That's most likely game.
-
Still a lot of game left, time for the offense to prove something for once this year.
-
Yea I definitely wouldn't keep Marinelli without Lovie. I was just saying if we keep him this year, Marinelli is fine.
-
I'm no expert, but felt Lovie should have been gone years ago after he tried to be the defensive coordinator and failed at it. That said, I think the Bears have to keep him another year no matter what. There are holes on offense that need to be filled this offseason, and they can't afford to retool the defense too to meet a new defensive scheme this year. As much as I would like to see him go, it's just smarter to keep him around with the D's age and talent that is here. I wouldn't extend him tho. Tice I'd fire. Marinelli has proven to be a very good DC for this defensive scheme so he would stay.

It may have been. I didn't rewatch the game, but I heard cutler say it may have been when Bennett got flipped and the signs didn't show up till later.

I'm totally not trying to disagree with you on everything, but... I read an article yesterday about how they had him on the Lions calender. It was talking about how he would line up in the wrong spots on purpose and run the wrong routes on purpose. That he was supposed to have surgery and Schwartz was like if he even shows up for that. He just sounds like too much of a dbag to even have a chance to be on the beloved. Hopefully Knox will get better and sign a one year deal here. I think he could thrive with not being the focus and lining up across from Marshall if he can ever get healthy.

Bennett gets a pass from me, cause he was most likely concussed at that point. Looking back into the sun concussed probably makes it harder to catch. Either way, that was last week. We all said our sides, let's hope for a good win tomorrow and a no one getting hurt on the team this week. The injuries sure have been piling up.

I know that sounds kind of harsh, but Cutler has been given his way. He didn't like Martz, he was fired. He wanted his old QB coach, he was hired and made passing coordinator. He wanted Taller WRs, he got Marshall that has been a beast but a security blanket and he got Jeffery. What did the Bears get in return? A one dimensional throw it to Marshall every time low scoring offense. Don't get me wrong, he should be resigned. The Bears don't have the draft picks to waste and there won't likely be a better QB available in free agency. I just don't think he's worth what he probably thinks he is before or after the hometown discount.

Rodgers line is nearly this bad. James Jones is no Brandon Marshall. Granted Rodgers WRs are better as a group than what Cutler has to work with, but his OL isn't much better. He doesn't have the running game, so teams know he is going to pass. Plus, he is just light years beyond Cutler at his job. This year Marshall has caught almost half the passes that Cutler has completed and has over half of the receiving yards on the team. Is that play calling, failure on the WR's, or the Oline? I don't know. It's not that Marshall is getting open, as he's been pulling down catches all year that he shouldn't be able too. Plus you can mention Cutler's 4th quarter rating, but that's just 1/4th of a game. He's had 7 TD's, 9 INTs and lost 5 fumbles in the first 3 quarters this year. That's twice as many turnovers than TD's, and that's improved over the last couple games. Being good in the 4th is good, but failing in the first 3 isn't acceptable. The question is, is the hometown discount off what he thinks he is worth or what he is actually worth. I know the Bears record with out him, but he hasn't exactly set the world on fire with this offense in the games he has played. It was just ineptness on the team by bringing in people like Caleb Hanie to be a back up or a team just being better as San Fran was. The line was horrible that game. The team was out coached and played and it wasn't do to the poor play of an unprepared Jason Campbell.

I don't like it. It basically removes most all returns. Punters will kick it out of bounds. With an onside kick, sometimes a D has time to hold and get one more shot if it doesn't go through. This would basically put the other team in field goal range in a near impossible, against it's against Lovie's prevent D, 4th and 15 situation.

When you take out some defensive touch downs, the offensive storing in a lot of games are pretty low. That's not even counting field goals where a turn over put them in position for it. Green Bay 10 Points St. Louis 16 points Dallas 20 Points Detroit 13 Points Carolina 16 Points Houston 6 Points San Fran 7 Points Seattle 17 What I find interesting is the Bears are 3rd from last in total yards, but 3rd over all in time of possession.
-
Agreed. This offense hasn't played well enough this year to not take points when they are there.
-
still can't believe they went for it on 4th earlier, and now it may cost them the game
-
Bears' prevent defense sucks
-
Good penalty by Marshall to prevent a int
-
The offense score 7 points off good field position from a turn over. The offense isn't exactly dominating. The line is looking a lot better than normal and Marshall is crazy, but they just haven't been able to drive the field.
-
Should be tied
-
Knox got close one year but was still shy of hitting it.
-
In the first 3 quarters this year Cutler has 4 TDs and 8 ints. Over all, he is the 24th rated QB this year. That is subpar to me. Yes he has been excellent in the 4th quarter, but to me as a whole it's a subpar year for him. I think the offensive play calling has been bad all year long. I guess that is more subjective. I've never seen a game where I was impressed with play calls. The Bears have the 30th most total yards this season. That doesn't exemplify good play calling imo.
-
Yesterday, Hub said on the score that Miami most likely won't tag Long and he will be a UFA. At least that's what his sources are indicating now.
-
The play calling among other things are problems too. I'm one of the biggest advocates for adding to the line, but that doesn't mean you can ignore other problems. They have definitely played below par the rest of the year, but not as low as they did against San Fran. Cutler has had a subpar year. WR's outside of Marshall haven't contributed. TE has been an issue. Forte hasn't been involved enough in the offense. Tice, while I like the guy as a guy, is inept.

Do you guys stuff baby seals for Thanksgiving? Just kiddin, happy holidays everyone!!
-
Bates was released after a year in Seattle cause their offense was horrible. I really hope he doesn't replace Tice at the end of the year. They need to find something better than the bad coaches they already hired.
