  1. This list was released yesterday and both Eddie Jackson and Khalil Mack are on it! That's just wrong! I have no idea how to post the link so I'm asking for your help please!
  2. Sowell actually had a catch last season as a tackle eligible for either a TD or 2 point conversion and was involved in one of the more controversial plays of last season where Trubisky tried to force a throw to him and started the Nagy trying to be too cute during games comments.
  3. I remember being a little upset when the Bears choose Howard over Langford at the RB position. With that being said , I have decided to trust this GM especially in the rounds he picked players this year.
  4. The only reason this team didn't advance in the playoffs is because of the double doink. You say agonize and I say improve the position.

    Callahan

I would think the biggest competition for signing both Callahan and Amos would be Denver with both players being familiar with Fangio's scheme and defensive staff.
  6. Agreed. When he is being asked to cover a RB that is quick twitch, you're not helping him develop.
  7. With the Parkey misses over 50 yards and the penalties plus 2 TDs given up on a punt block and a KR. Supposedly he is a disciple of Dave Toub but, so far I don't see any connection.
  8. It's really hard for me as a 50 plus year Bear fan to criticize the development of any QB because this franchise has never done it in my lifetime. What I have seen from Trubisky is marked improvement in his short passes and minimal improvement on his deep passes. He seems very good at the shuffle type passes and RPO plays but, he is below average on sideline throws and throws when his receiver is wide open.
  9. Leonard Floyd has a basketball player's body on the football field coupled with the fact that he played most of the season with a club or brace on his hand and then asked by our revered DC to drop in coverage against a quick twitch RB. What should we be able to gather from that? Even Mack was dropping into coverage bad ankle and all.
  10. The special teams IMO have lost the last 2 games. Parkey missed FG in Miami during OT and the 2 touchdowns against NE a punt block and KR TD. Yes the defense has not stood up the last 2 weeks but, they made critical stops or plays in both games to allow the Bears to win. Akeem Hicks forced fumble in the Miami game even though he was gassed was critical. I like Jordan Howard but, does everyone remember how he reacted when there was trade rumors about him during the off season? Dude you were a5th round pick for a reason! You're a 1 trick pony. Nagy's offense some what mirrors KC's offense sans 1 thing Kareem Hunt can line up at WR and actually catch the ball making Tarek Hill that much more effective and Cohen is doing well despite every team expecting pass when he is on the field. If Nagy decided to go with Bennie Cunningham for the rest of the season to create a more diverse attack I wouldn't be mad. Howard has started to act like he is La veon Bell IMO.
  11. If we only had a like icon to click.LOL
  12. So do I but I think how Bortles performed early in the season had their coaching staff ready to replace him but he "righted the ship" and I can see that as a realistic expectation for Trubisky this season in a new offense and still learning how to feel and avoid the pass rush.
  13. The key guys that may not be resigned after their deals are up Hicks, Trevathan, Amukamura, White, Cooper, Massie and Sims. This is all based on Trubisky take the next step and becoming the franchise QB which would probably put him in line for astronomical numbers 4 years from now
  14. I go back to my time in Bourbonnais when he walked right in front of where I was sitting and just didn't look healthy and seemed headed to the locker room, when I remarked to the group of fans that I was amongst that I thought he would be cut and explained that his health and versatility would be the reason. I'm not surprised at all and he is Pace's highest draft pick cut from the team.
  15. Agreed if the defense can realize its full potential similar to Jacksonville then all Trubisky needs to do is be the Blake Bortles that played down the stretch and in the playoffs.
  16. The biggest thing I hold on to from this trade is that Mackhas never missed a game!
  17. With the GM of this team trading up to get his as QB and then hiring this coach to get him right, its ridiculous to think there is a QB controversy when you are talking about a veteran who has started less games than Trubisky.
  18. According to Adam Schefter And Ian Rappaport The Bears And Smith Have Come To Terms
  19. The pace of practice was faster than I have ever seen and I went to TC going back to Lovie! The Ints are a result of the amount of plays they seem to be getting off during practice and it seems he is only getting one read and the ball comes out. With me being on vacation I will be able to see the first unit in the HOF game.
  20. I was at camp yesterday and the pace of the practice was something I had never seen at TC before! Constant motion every team drill whether 7 on 7 or full 11 on 11 was on the 30 second clock. There seemed to be a big emphasis on all the QBs to get the ball out quick or check down. Anthony Miller looks like we may have something and Kevin White looked like he's playing for his life.Cohen and Howard in some drills were split out wide. Mitchell Trubisky didn't look good to me. He was throwing the ball high and Amukamara picked him twice in a 3 play span. A couple of times under duress from the rush he threw off his back foot with bad results. After hearing Nagy talk I didn't realize the players had the previous day off but, Trubisky looked a little off the whole day as some of his WRs made highlight catches. Anthony Miller continues to act like he has something to prove and Allen Robinson looked smooth and appeared to be holding back. As for the defense the front 3 will have some real size to chose from. Hicks looks all of 330 pounds and Bilal Powell looks like a mountain. Goldman moved well but Bullard still seems like his motor is half on. WTBS this group looks poised to have a breakout year. The OLBs Lynch in shorts and watching next to Trevathan but Floyd if he is heavier it wasn't obvious to my eyes. He was moving well though and showed no ill affects of his injury though he did walk into the tent once during drills for a short time but came back out and immediately jumped back in. As is the case in most camps and especially this one the defense looked light years ahead of the offense. So far nothing has been mentioned about this but Grasu walked right pass me during practice in route to the locker room and seemed to be limping. As he walked past I mentioned to the group I was sitting with that I felt he was getting cut this year. He also was wearing knee braces on both knees. Again I can't over emphasis how fast the pace of practice was. There was constant work during the whole 3 hour period and when a group wasn't participating in a drill they worked on the next field as a group. That is how I got a chance to see Floyd up close and if he is 250 it must be all muscle because only his lower base looked thicker. The OLB group as a whole looked small and more speed focused than powerful.

    Roquan Smith

If I can't root for a guy like this , I'm not human!

    RPOs

RPO is what got Wentz, Watson and Tanehill injured and IMO keeps the box filled with someone to shadow the QB.
