  1. I don`t know how some of you can say definitively how Ryan Pace will draft especially after 2017. Lets Review! 2015 7 Kevin White 31 Eddie Goldman 71 Hroniss Grasu 106 Jeremy Langford 142 Adrian Amos 183 Tayo Fabaluge 2016 9 Leonard Floyd 56 Cody Whitehair 72 Jonathan Bullard 113 Nick Kwiakoski 124 Deon Bush 127 Deondre Hall 150 Jordon Howard 185 DeAndre Houston-Carsen 230 Daniel Braverman 2017 2 Mitchell Trubisky 45 Adam Shaheen 112 Eddie Jackson 119 Tarek Cohen 147 Jordon Morgan This is his list and I honestly have no idea how he will draft ,making this very intriguing for me.
  2. Right Out The Gate The BEARS Are On Prime Time!
  3. Bears and packers open up Sunday Night.
  4. " He is not terrible at pass catching but is not great." Re read that yourself and tell me what that means. To me that sounds like mediocre which is not my take, I say he is limited.
  5. The RB that Nagy just worked with in KC was Kareem Hunt a rookie from a mid major conference who has very good receiving skills and allows his team to use the same personnel on all downs. Right now that is not the type of back Howard is. If we follow the history of most west coast style offenses, backs with pass catching ability are a staple. The check down pass is one of the things that is need to help this style of offense succeed and it's not guaranteed that Howard would make that work with his current skill set.
  6. I've been all in on Allen Lazard of Iowa State as one of our 4th rounders.
  7. Okay I'll bite. Howard transferred from UAB to Indiana because of the football program being dropped at UAB. WTBS isn't Tevin Coleman a former Hoosier RB? Why is this rb so versatile and Howard not? He was in the same program but doesn't possess the same skills. Why is that? Its because he is a one trick pony. Yes he is a great runner and an underrated blocker( why he was on the field on 3rd downs regardless of hands) but, he is not (taking the HOF RBs of this franchise out of the equation)Raymont Harris, Anthony "A Train" Thomas,Thomas Jones or Matt Forte. These are all backs that played for this team and could at least execute a screen. If the ball goes in Howard's direction it is not a given that he will catch it.
  8. In 3 drafts Pace has traded up in 2 of them in round 1 and can't believe he wasn't trying to trade up in all 3.I'm bracing myself for something unexpected like,Floyd,Trubisky,Shaheen and Cohen. Though my latest mock had Ward in the mix at 8 Davenport is a Pace type of pick.
  9. I believe Howard is who he is. No other great back in Bears' history had to learn how to catch out of the backfield when they got here and if someone gives you an offer that is reasonable then it should be considered. This thread is based on the rumor of a day 3 pick that could be used to get a top pick. Why is that hard to imagine since this is smoke screen time.
  10. I think that if two of the top 4 are QBs we have a shot at a couple of trades with the Bears being in the mix. This has been the most trade active off season of my recent memory. Most trades occur draft night and this year has obliterated that trend,
  11. The non-hype QB I like the most is Mason Rudolph.
  12. So you believe the Arizona trade is more realistic?
  13. Tremaine Edmunds Fits as a Julian Petersen type if you remember the do it all OLB for the 4pers with rush skills, coverage skills and sure handed tackling! I can see a possibility that he and Carter are the first two picks, with Isaiah Oliver as the second pick as well.
  14. 1 Az. gives up 15 ,47 and 79 for Bears 8 and 115 2 Buffalo gives up 12 and 22 and 65 for Bears 8 and 105 These two scenarios are based on Baker Mayfield being these two teams target and still on the board at 8.
  15. Its great to be back posting and here is my most recent mock and currently working on 2.0 8 Denzel Ward CB Ohio State 39 Tyrell Crosby OT Oregon 105 Kemoko Turay OLB Rutgers 115 Orlando Brown Jr OT Oklahoma 145 Allen Lazard WR Iowa State 181 Grant Haley CB Penn State 224 Jamil Demby OG Maine

    Cam Meredith

As clandestine Pace is I wish Gabriel would've let the comments ride because he could be under the radar as an outside WR.
  17. I've tried several times but, I can't access the link.
  18. I have been enamored with Edmunds and Marcus Davenport and confused as to why Arden Key is dropping and maybe at the 39th pick in the 2nd round.
  19. This off season's theme seem like take care of the coaches and Trubisky. Nagy got his gifts in FA as well as Trubisky Fangio got Fuller, Amukamura, Acho,Timu and Lynch So far Hiestand has got nothing! The two most important assistants on any NFL staff is the DC and OL coach. Time to take care of Hiestand.

    OL

Jordan Morgan is a name I too think about when it comes to the OL.He is a Pace draft pick and has not seen the field which is unusual under this GM. I personally prefer a trade back scenario and grab another Hiestand student McGlinchey to plug in on the right side until they realize Leno was a 7th round pick for a reason. As far as the draft is concerned I like Edmunds with the 8th pick and with 39 I could see Oregon OT Tyrell Crosby being an interesting choice with ties to the OC.
  21. Thanks you just made me feel real old. Butkus,Sayers,Payton,Hampton,Singletary,Dent and Urlacher. Start to finish.
  22. For some reason Chicago sports fans fall deeply in love with players even in their declining years. Recently this franchise moved on from a HOF linebacker and questionably two other potential HOF players and both Long and Sitton don't qualify as that type of player. Whitehair should play OG next year and they should draft Nelson as the other OG and draft a OC. In FA look for a RT to compete with Massie and open the line up to comp meaning Long and Sitton have to compete for their jobs as well as Whitehair and Grasu should be competing for a roster spot.
  23. Multiple reports are saying Urlacher is in the HOF
  24. According to Mayock he isn't dominating like he should but the scheme at the Senior Bowl is a 4-3 which doesn't actually highlight his skills because projects as a raw prospect THAT SHOULD GO IN THE FIRST ROUND? I like Mayock but feel sometimes those of us that have been watching all football including our kids all our lives need to trust what we see even if we don't have the all 22 view because a stud player is a stud player on any size screen.
  25. I know what you probably would like for the first pick but the Bears are using 3 players to do what Barkley can do. Cunningham,Howard and Cohen. Most teams have been doing a 1- 2 punch Howard and Barkley would be awesome. I want Davenport with that first pick but, Barkley would be hard to pass up.
