  1. I too am on the Faalele train but, Poles has been clear about OL with lean bodies and movement. At 6/8 and 385 , that doesn't fit what they are projecting so I'm looking at Tyler Smith OT out of Tulsa at 39, George Pickens WR at 48 and Christian Watson WR at 71
  2. Armstead is not worth the money because he is oft-injured
  3. I'm thinking Quinn may stick around because is actually a DE that fits the 4-3 but, if they can get more pick and cap savings. I'm in.
  4. The Bears should target guys like Rams' FA Joseph Noteboom
  5. I'm not educated enough on technique and footwork but, I can tell aggression when I see it and Jenkins is aggressive running to the sidelines and drawing a penalty protecting his QB from what he thought was an illegal hit. We loved Kyle Long and Olin Kreutz for that tenacity.
  6. Here in Chicagoland Sports Mockery is ridiculed because Erik Lambert writes most of the articles he posts based on secondhand unconfirmed information. He didn't get the Nagy fired after Thanksgiving game right and he was totally off on the GM and Head Coach hire. Just read the posts from SM for entertainment especially in the comments. Man I miss Jeff Dickerson(RIP)!
  7. Whenever I haven't posted for a while I tend to read all post before I respond. The Bears are switching to a Tampa 2 like 4-3. With the current players on our defense being acquired with a variation of the 3-4 defense being employed by our last 3 DCs, I realistically believe massive change is coming on the defensive side of the ball. Tonga, Goldman and Nichols are questionable to be on the roster. The Lovie Smith defense at its best featured Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson at DT. The LB were Urlacher in the MLB , Lance Briggs at WL and Hunter Hillenmeyer. DB's Vasher, Tillman, Harris and Manning. The DBs played primarily zone(Cover 2) and the MLB dropped in deep middle as well. I really think that some of the guys on this roster don't fit the HITS theme or the 4-3 with cover2 and 3 emphasis.
  8. I have to Send Congrats To Lovie Smurf!
  9. I think Tonga will not be a fit in a 4-3 and will not be with the team. I'm intrigued with the thought of Gipson putting his hand back in the dirt every down as well as Mario Edwards Jr and Robert Quinn tutoring them. Figuring out what to do with Mack, Nichols and Goldman is going to be key to this offseason imo.
  10. So according to most reports all the hires on offense have ties to the Shanahan type offense. The coaches on defense have ties to the 4-3 Cover 2 scheme that Eberflus ran in Indy
  11. After what Campbell did to his first OC Anthony Lynn, I could see them having trouble getting someone to want to be OC. I could see Nagy and DiFillipo getting interviews with Pedersen in Jax.
  12. Not me! Strictly I rooted against you because you are an arrogant a$$hole. Remember saying "I Own You" at Soldier Field? That has nothing to do with your vaccination status. Also the fact that your team has choked 3 years in a row has something to do with it. Plus real Chicago Bears fans hate you anyway.
  13. One thing I know is Dabol will not make a lateral move to OC for the Bears. With Poles now being GM I hope that Dave Toub gets an interview in the mix as well Bienemy. The only other guy that intrigues me is Dennis Allen who seems to have the plan to confuse Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers as well as the 49ers Demeyco(sp?)Ryans.
  14. I have been an avid watcher of ESPN's NFL Live and just a couple of years ago Bill Polian was a regular contributor on that program which leads me to believe he is still connected in league circles. The only thing recently that worried me about Polian was he thought Lamar Jackson should become a WR.
  15. Gabriel Davis just made playoff history with 4 touchdown catches.
  16. To your credit more digging I found out that he was in a struggle with Bill O Brien over personnel and that he decided to step away because of his wife's illness and the rumor mill says O'Brien won the battle.
  17. That sounds like a late rounder to me because all teams will want due diligence on his medical history
  18. I believe hiring Harbaugh would come with a similar price tag and package like Gruden got in Vegas. Gruden picked Mayock to be his GM. I'm not sure the Bears may be willing to pay the price to get Harbaugh and give him that structural power. With Polian involved I can't see him recommending that.
  19. It was said that Smith stepped away while his wife battled cancer.
  20. Justin Fields is a work in progress mainly because of his experience in college and current NFL head coach. For him to not be taking snaps from the beginning of TC and now being put under the microscope makes me think this head coach is dodging how he treated the other first round QB under his tutelage.
  21. As a long time listener to ESPN 1000 "JD's" Bear hits were something I looked forward to because he was precise and direct with the info he presented! I loved his input and hope and pray for his son. I don't know what the bears donated but, it looks like the Packers donated 250K.
  22. The CFP was disappointing and now again two SEC teams meet for the Chip! The 1/1/22 Bowl games were much more entertaining.
  23. Congrats and God Bless!
