The ideal scenario is that Scott is resigned and penciled in as the starter then Webb and Carimi get to show if they are worth working with to Kromer by accepting their demotions and fighting their way back in the lineup. I still contend that both may have been rushed along a little too fast and now they can be coached up with a new staff in place. These are still 2 young OTs with significant playing time on film that most coaches can see and correct there flaws.

When I see Jennings leaving I think of Javon Walker. I was laughing the other day when Welker signed and the media was decalring Thomas,Decker and Welker as the best WR tandem and I thought about Nelson,Cobb and Jones up north as much better IMO.

First of all I call it a Wack mock for a reason.Because it is wacky. Emery's draft last season was nothing I could imagine and when you think of a Bears GM making two trades in one offseason that hasn't happened in a while. Now he picks up two FAs that fill needs right away during the first couple of days of being able to sign a FA and I believe anything goes. I'm just trying to throw something out there that is unorthodox because Emery is a hard nut to crack. For some stupid reason I have started to lock in on some players on the Gamecocks' roster even though I hate Steve Spurrier. Last season it was Alshon Jeffries(lol) and this year its Marcus Lattimore.Of course it will be Clowney next year but getting back to our RB situation, Forte has never proven to me that he is a bell cow and he has been injured the last 2 seasons.Bush is coming off imjury and Armando Allen is not an every down back either.BTW has he signed yet? He is listed as an exclusive rights FA.

This team with a short window of opportunity doesn't need to bring the Tebow circus to town and reread my post and see if I ever mentioned Tebow.

Please explain. Tillman and Jennings aging and who is behind them?
-
I call it more of poor player development in the secodary by Lovie. Aside from Tillman there has been a turnstile in the secondary when it comes to draft picks.
-
Absolutely not! Dumervil is a younger version of James Harrison and he is a rush LB. WTBS Tucker is a 3-4 DC that inherited a 4-3 team similar to former Tampa 2 disciple Mike Tomlin who let Dick LaBeau do his thing but, with the Roach departure and the possible Urlacher departure we could be looking at a scheme change by default. Peppers goes to 5 technique and McClellin goes to rush OLB. so picture this: Wooten Melton Peppers upfront, Briggs SMC at OLB, Blake Costanzo and early draft pick inside.

That was for the previous staff and the only other QB on the Niners roster is Scott Tolzien. I'm in favor of drafting a QB late if it falls right and it winds up being Kolin Klein there's the running QB you're looking for. Its time for the Bears to start developing QBs.

I still wish he and Corey Graham were the backups.I like Bowman's size and Graham's playmaking abilty.
-
I could see him trying to hookup with his old college coach from San Diego Jim Harbaugh at Frisco.
-
Tommy Z might have to resume his Boxing career.

I understand the good points about how the players loved playing for Smith but,5 out of the last 6 years they didn't make the playoffs. Since I now would like this team to raise the bar and actually make players accountable on the field instead of factoring in past accomplishments. Since we are in full phase of speculation season I believe that Urlacher will be back as long as he lowers his demands. His health the last few seasons is why he should be a little more flexible and the Bears should stand firm on their position. When we are agonizing over an undrafted FA that turned out to be a serviceable LB (Roach), the talent at the positon needs to be upgraded.Urlacher and Briggs are aging and we are sad that a plyer of Roach's caliber left. He is not in the same category as Rosy Colvin but we act like he was. The original camp Roach was in was Oakland so he went back since the Bears took too long to give him a offer he felt comfortable with.

20 Desmond Trufant CB Washington I have a feeling he will be the BPA at 20 if both the top interior OL are gone. 50 Terron Armstead OT Arkansas Pine-Bluff Draft this guy and put him at LG and groom him for LT. 114 Akeem Spence DT Illinois You have Melton,Collins and Paea plus Okoye is a UFA and you just cut Toeina they need another body at this position. 146 Marcus Lattimore RB So. Carolina This is the yearly venture down injury road that the Bears take in the draft but injury issues aside, this is one of the best backs in the draft if healthy. I'm thinking with the right rehab and a year in an NFL camp he could maybe be productive like Willis McGahee or Terrell Davis as injured RBs that had productive careers in the league 178 Garrett Gilkey OG Chadron ST or Braxston Cave C Notre Dame Either depth at OG or heir apparent at center. OK pick this apart.
-
The key for this whole deal to work is that it is believed that Jackson will be able to gain more yards than Turner did with a sub par run blocking OL. I think that this may blow up in their face. Like Jason says this doesn't worry me as much as what is going on in Seattle and Frisco.

So with all the health issues of our starting safety tandem and the backups you feel comfortable going into next season with whatever they have signed on the roster. Then you hope that Hardin might be healthy? Really this is not a situation that you can possibly be assured that its okay. Wright,Conte, Stelz and Hardin all have an extensive injury history,If in one of the rounds the Bears have a draft pick, they should consider drafting a safety.
-
Boy do I appreciate this post because after you crunch numbers, its how they perform on the field not on paper. Just like we all knew and agree that the cuts of Davis and Spaeth were coming, the fact that Toeina was thrown in also is not surprising since he spent most of last year inactive. Looking at the current roster the safety depth needs to be addressed also.
-
The rumor here is that he and his agents made a 2 year offer for 5 million and that the Bears have not responded.
-
Urlacher's injury history over the last few years is why he is not worth 5 million dollars for 2 years. If he really wants to give a home town discount then ask the Bears what their offer is.
-
So I'll ask you now! Are you a Bear fan or a researcher? If the answer is yes I'm a researcher, then I can understand the clinical nature that you are approaching this. If your answer is I'm a fan then at some point your research doesn't matter. He is the starting LOT now and that is not going to change.
-
At the end of the day he is the starting LOT of the Bears and as a fan of the team for 47 years I don't care what he did prior to getting here I'm going to root for him to keep DEs off of Cutler and actually make sight adjustments when the blitz is coming. So keep doing your research to talk negatively about what most think is a positive move that the team we root for has done. With it being rumored that the Bears are interested in resigning Louis and Scott it is obvious after review this GM and new staff think that this OL needs a facelift.
-
Seriously though at least 8 games on turf with his knees is not a good idea.
-
That would be almost as McMahon and McMichael playing for green bay.
-
Per Ian Rapport of NFL Network
-
I don't know what the Jeter reference means in regards to this but the only solid football related critique I saw and heard about him was from Jamie Dukes on NFL Network who said he doesn't like how long it takes Bushrod to get his opponent under control when blocking. In essence he said that DEs windup a little to close to the QB on pass plays. There was one film clip shown to support this. This was not a bunch of numbers trying to support his opinion but some actual game footage to support what was said. Since his former OL coach is here I'm sure he knows his short comings and can figure out ways to make him improve.

This is what I'm thinking because without reps at OG he looked okay when pressed into service. I just want to sit back and let this new staff see how they want to attack this.
