Yes I posted that in UDFA thread. He turned down a trip to the combine to follow his dream in music. He told the media he retired from football. No motivation to play, Camp fodder.

OT: Explain your username and how you became a Bears fan
GrizzlyBear replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
Grizzlybear Got it from my wife when I am hungry I act like one. Bear fan since 1960 -
. A.J. Greene, OT — He was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, and did not work out Tuesday because he no longer wants to play football. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com http://www.sportsxchange.com/showcase/draf....php?pyid=70139

Williams C will be backup tackle if things stay the same, His POS was changed already on the bears site. If he starts at tackle then webb becomes swing along with Horn. We signed Chilo at guard in FA. It will much better then last year just on play calling alone. DT is another story of yours. we have 3 DT's yes, However there are 2 others listed as DL, Melton and Izzy, Both can play tackle or End. So as far as I am concerned you are wrong, and we will be fine with our current rosters as it is. Cheers!!

Yep they were all bone and , but the plus was he palyed through a broken wrist and hand. Missed only last year. Tough guy

Wow best comment I seen from him all day

Love Smith stated to the Tribune Coach Lovie Smith talked about adding talent to the line with former first-round picks Gabe Carimi and Chris Williams returning from injuries. But he wouldn't say if Williams will be back at left guard where he started nine games last season. "We've added a couple of guys and there are still a few options out there," Smith said. "Believe me, we want to do everything we can to open up holes for our running backs and protect Jay Cutler. We felt like we'll be able to do that." Hopeful is all I can say http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2679683.story

I been hearing this crap from some posters that feel our scheme does not fit the players taken. Well let me be the first to inform you all. We have no idea what the scheme is!!! Tice in for Martz means quicker throws different line calls and audibles. Big difference from Martz. We also dont know what Marinelli has in store for the D. With no OTA's last year it put a crimp in what anyone could do. With Martz gone it makes for a real different offense on the field. So your criticisms are a moot point, You have no idea what our scheme is going to be anymore then I do.

For one thing answer this.... How can a guy be fullback and be a Mackey award nominee? He will be TE he was H back TE at college. If he gets outa line again , Garza will have head.
-
First. We dont have an offense that played a game under Tice even, So how can this offense be rated at the bottom? You have no idea what this offense will do. Davis and Rodriguez are size matches for most TE sets that were drafted today. the only thing I can say about this draft pick is why a trouble maker? Iam sure there were others without beating woman charge available. If that is true

Personally I believe this subject has gone all to long. Get off it please and lets get back to football. Being a Minority myself I totally believe this is the most irrelevant posting on this forum in longtime.

Well I guess that blew Most on this forum away.

Mercilus, Irvin. Perry, Ingram Just name DE taken the first day of the draft. Look at these and tell me who you would have. These are weakness ID'd by a Tv analyst 1>is undersized and could have issues against stronger offensive tackles. He is a long strider who takes too many steps to get to full speed and looks lost at times when diagnosing run plays. He is an effective player when moving decisively, but he can be out of place at times. Once in the backfield, he has trouble readjusting his body to get a clear burst toward the quarterback. 2. Although he was effective as a run defender in his senior year, for the better part of his career he struggled to stay on the field on non-passing downs. He is inexperienced as a three-down defender, and it remains to be seen if he can be a reliable option defending the run. He also surprisingly struggles when given the task of covering tight ends one-on-one, and up to this point has been widely considered a pass rush only option for the defense. 3.his motor was the only question mark throughout his collegiate career. At times, he disappeared from the action. While he is a great interior player, he didn't see much action outside the box and his lateral movement can be an Achilles heel for him when running down plays. There are also question marks surrounding his ability to use his hands, and his ability to ignite his feet and hips to make quick-twitch plays. He can seem as if he's moving in slow motion at times. 4.The weaknesses in his play as a defensive tackle are all about physical limitations, such as height, weight and arm length. His short arms and size make it tough for him to eliminate double teams playing inside, and there are uncertainties about his effectiveness there at the next level. He'll also have to prove he has the first step to play defensive end and the movement skills to be moved to linebacker. 5. will have a tough time convincing teams, even though he has been productive, to take a shot on him early in the draft because of his size. He has displayed enough athletic ability for teams to consider him at outside backer, but he could stand to lose weight as he enters the next level. 6.His feet are slowed by his instincts as he oftentimes gets caught looking into the backfield and hesitates when diagnosing the run. He can get occupied by bigger, stronger blockers and tends to shut it down completely in these looks. He is more quick than explosive. He is a drag-down tackler who relies on his weight and is inconsistent in his wrap-up form. Now after scoping these weaknesses who is better suited? Ill give ya who they are after you pick the number you think is the best.

None for 2 years, the year of his concussion he didnt miss either Here is the bio on Harden Notes: A track standout as a Hawaiian prep. Redshirted in 2007. Saw action in 13 games at cornerback in ’08, making 13 tackles, zero pass breakups and no interceptions with half a tackle for loss. Fractured his left hand and right wrist in early October against Utah and played the rest of the season with the injuries. Was part of a three-man rotation at cornerback in ’09 while playing in all 13 games with three starts at right cornerback and recording 29-4-1. Made all 12 starts at RCB in ’10 with 63-3-0 with 1 1⁄2 tackles for loss, one sack, three forced fumbles and one blocked extra point. Graduated in June. Missed the ’11 season after suffering a broken shoulder, which required surgery, during fall camp but returned to play in the East-West Shrine Game in January ’12. Positives: Excellent size and athletic ability. Has played corner and safety and has extensive experience locked in man coverage. Good balance, hip flex, change of direction and body control for his size. Can turn and run vertical. Zone-aware. Supports the run aggressively. Heavy hitter. Plays with awareness and football intelligence. Has the traits and mentality for special teams. Outstanding character and makeup. Negatives: Could improve press technique. Average pedal fluidity. Lacks ideal explosion and recovery burst to survive on an island. Stressed by smaller, quicker receivers (gives up separation at the top of stems). Minimal ball production. Does not always arrive under control to tackle. At times gets wired to blocks. Relatively inexperienced (only one full season as a starter). Summary: Intriguing size-speed prospect who looks like a safety and was athletic enough to play corner in college. Has desirable intangibles and at worst should be a versatile, valuable backup and core special-teams player. Has more upside than former OSU safety Sabby Piscitelli, who was overdrafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007. http://cache.profootballweekly.com/prospec...ndon-hardin-17/

Watch his Intro at the Bears site, He addresses the concussion as a false report, he had one in his sophomore year and the other was for sickness. 1 concussion and no games missed. Sounds like injury prone to me. also is there any way add word filters to forum. Iam tired of seeing filth on this board.

Silatolu, Amini, T I hear good things about this kid. Anyone else?
-
Good point, But along with that line of thinking ... What if Url told the Bears 2 more years and I am done. If thats the case and way Emery feels about Shea, Maybe MLB is in his future. Who knows.
-
Ya know thinking about this draft, maybe Url told them 2 more years and that is it. So Shea going to MLB would be a thought With his speed and ability to cover a large area he maybe slotted for there after Url retires.
-
He was not a 3-4 olb at Boise, Where you getting that from?
-
This is pick surprised the heck out of me. However I seen a couple of his games and He can rush the passer. I believe Emery went by production over a longer period of time then one year. Merciless was one year wonder and lighter in the ass then Shea, Jones had injury issues and only played 7 games. this kid has been dominating since his sophomore year. I don't see him as a Bauzin type at all. More like Allen or Little. Leonard Little Height: 6-3 Weight: 267 Dwight Freeney #93 DE Height: 6-1 Weight: 268 Jared Allen #69 DE Height: 6-6 Weight: 266

Good Video. Sounds like he really knows what he doing. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...clip=Y&rn=1

I dont care who is banging. Just hope she don't suck all the testosterone out of him before the season.
-
My nightmare would be anything other then DT/DE. It looks like Emery is bringing in a plethora of DE's So if it sticks to what he is bringing in then Ill be sleeping good.
-
As it stands from what I read he is very emotional type and it reflected in his play. Harbaugh is a in your face coach. You love him or you hate him, This guy may man out to be the next Tate type player. It goes back to Spencer being labeled as the only center on the bears. Not G/C like Garza and E.Williams. If this guy pans out like I think he will, Garza Rachel at Guard Spencer at center Carimi9 and C Williams as tackles. That line will be much better then any line we had in the last 5 years.
-
From all I read about hayes he has the talent to surpass Roach. If he is that much better then our 3 will be better then most. We need a good coverage LB. With his skills he wont be removed on 3rd downs right away. It will boad well for schemes.
