  1. Interim GM Corradelle Patterson is in: https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/quinton-spain-likes-bears-recruiting-tweet-cordarelle-patterson?cid=Yahoo&partner=ya4nbcs
  2. Aw c’mon Leno isn’t all bad, between he and Massie, Leno’s usually the first one there to pick up Foles after he gets knocked down.
  3. He’s still a bit slow on crossing routes but you’re right, he’s meeting running backs coming out of the backfield with force. As is Gibson by the way...as a true SS should. Im not sure why they brought Te’o on either before they considered a stout NT. Still think they need to fix that for the run D.
  4. Wasn’t directed at you, just in general between here and other sites that talk Bears football. I’m part of a ‘smack-talk’ group on Twitter too that was sure Pagano was the biggest problem on the D. As BF2000 and Adam have said above and you, I think a lot of what we’re seeing from the D right now is Pagano getting more creative and the players getting more time to gel. The lack of a true training camp and PS hurt a lot for what is normally a time to work out any wrinkles. I will say this; what Pagano is making up in creativity Nagy continues to remain stagnant. At this point I think Foles is better at running the offense than Nagy is calling it.
  5. Bears sign LB Monti Te’o to the Practice Squad. Does this spell the end for Danny T? Te’o was a pretty decent LB in college. Had speed like Smith... https://www.chicagobears.com/news/roster-moves-bears-sign-manti-te-o-to-practice-squad
  6. I saw that too. If memory serves he had two receivers along the same line. One that was deep (dont remember who) and covered and one closer in, I believe was Kent who was uncovered. Foles looks to have been trying to either hit the deep receiver or throw it out but as you said didn’t have enough mustard to get it there. I think he could have hit the underneath receiver but want to say he didn’t see him. Foles has had a fair number of throws where he can’t get his feet set and still had just enough to get it to where it needs to be. Something to be said about his ‘balls’ while in the pocket. He’s touched (not necessarily hit) by a defender in just about every passing down.
  7. I read somewhere that the rotational players; like Edwards, Urban, Mingo etc are responsible for 35% of the teams sacks so far. That’s pretty damn impressive. If you have some time to kill, check out these guys breaking down key plays. Briggs, Kreutz and Brown make for some entertaining ‘blue collar’ analytics.

  9. Lol...you went from 34-9 to 33-9 in one post. Even your confidence is waning. Lol Not all that long ago, right around the time the team lost to the Colts 19-11 many were calling for Paganos head and sure we were done for the year. Now suddenly our defense is “elite” and it would appear we have a legit team; even with the small errors on offense being made. Of which I trust Foles (not so much Nagy) will be able to clean up.
  10. Put it side by side with the hit last week in TB to see if there were any differences; there weren’t.
  11. Absolutely all this! and couldn’t help notice Brady run across the field at the end of the game to shake hands with Rodgers. Where last week he scurried to the locker room and avoided Foles after losing. Who by the way is 2-0 against him. Lololololol!!!
  12. Is this the same TB team the Bears played a little over a week ago? In TB? And this is with GB taking their bye...yikes. Think you’re right Adam, GB is in for a long season.
  13. Looks like Rodgers can be pressured into huge mistakes in watching the first half against TB. That bodes well for our team. The more I think about this, and considering Nagy might be the problem for the offense progress; would you think Trubiksy would be worth keeping around as a #2 for next year? Maybe still draft a development Qb... just sayin.
  14. I think it was Connor who said it earlier. Nagy is a good head coach when it comes to rallying the team and getting them to play together. But on game day he should NOT be calling plays. I don’t have a lot of faith in Lazor either but I at least think Foles can run the team from the field. Nagy seems to be the stick in the wheel when it comes to running the offense.
  15. WHY on Gods green earth do you pass on 4th down in this situation? Did this last week too. Nagy is a complete ditz with game management!
  16. Im with you. Looked almost identical to the game last week where he forces the turnover. Not sure what else Fuller is supposed to do? Avoid the tackle? Everything he did was pretty much text book.
  17. Johnson still sucking at tackling. And had an issue on man coverage thinking he was in zone. Rookie mistakes for now. Fuller lays out a guy just like last week but gets the penalty this week. Hmm...
  18. You see that a lot with players, ARob has a tendency to do that too sometimes especially in the slot. But I’m never a fan when they do. Still...Miller needs to be playing smarter ALL the time. Mooney is outshining him already.
  19. Nagy continuing to mess up o-play calling... Absolutely LOVE Mooney! WR Miller needs to go away.
  20. Bill Parcells is that you? Lol. Isn’t that exactly the same type of thing he would say? And by the way, I agree with.
  21. There was something about an injury clause in the neighborhood of $6million. But yes the remainder of his contract (or most of it) would remain the Jets responsibility.
  22. Sorry, wrong Miller. I meant Lamar Miller. But now that you mention it, interesting facts about ARob and WR Miller. I didn’t realize they were so close in age. Way easy choice there; pay ARob (and now) and let WR Miller go...(I know itS not that easy...just sayin).
