I hear ya. And Trubisky needs to be more heads up on a play like that. I get protecting the ball outside when running but when you need to stretch for first down...extend with the right.
-
I’d be curious to see how many of the total penalties on the team this year are on the oline. I’d bet percentage wise they lead.
-
I’ll say it again...love me some DONTRELLE Inman.

Yikes. You’re right... although being a Navy man...not so? Lol
-
I’m just saying but if you hear those pops on the field, Reuben Foster is in the area. Last two plays he’s laid some serious wood. Coulda drafted him but... no

I love me some Inman. With he, hopefully Meredith, a 1st/2nd round pick and another FA pickup we could have a pretty nice WR corps.

Fire Loggains. -
Of course NOW Kyle decides to show up and play.

He’s overthinking. I like that he’s trying not to turn it over but you’re right. Definitely getting bad about holding the ball. On the replay Bellamy was open on the crossing route although probably wouldn’t have been a 1st.

Never thought I’d hear myself telling Robbie to ‘miss it’. Of course...he didn’t. Lol

Or some combo therein would be ok. I even like the idea Connor suggested of Fox hiring Mike McCoy as OC.

Lol!! Thats the best, if not funniest, endorsement yet. I’m a Nebraska guy so I’d just as soon see all the other HCs leave. It would be cool to see Meyer give it a go in the bigs. So I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to see Harbaugh leave?

Funny but not a bad idea. He was just recently fired from Denver. He’d consider it I’m sure. A quick look at his past experience with QB coaching saw Orton set passing yard records both individually (and 4th overall yds/game in the NFL in 2010). The following year McCoy adapted the offense to Tebows style where he led in rushing yards and got the Broncos to the playoffs (under Fox’s guise). - Wikipedia. The more I read, the more I like it Connor. Good suggestion.

Sanchez is more like a massage therapist in his role on the team than strategist. I’m not convinced he was as much the mentor to Prescott as was Romo but ok. If Sanchez was there for his advice on “seeing the game” then Biscuit would be advancing more than he has. If anything Sanchez can dispense advice on how not to fail and deal with adversity.
-
Connor, please for all that is good don’t ever say Sanchez’s name again. I’ll stop hoping for Glennons return if you promise me he’ll be ‘the one who’s name will never be uttered (or seen) again in Chicago’.

What other choice is there? They picked Trubisky and “he’s the one”. Surely Pace wouldn’t trade up for another ‘can’t miss’ QB prodigy? I see the writing on the wall and need for the foundation of a strong offense. OL makes sense now that a large number of your offensive skill players are in place. Save WR of course.
-
C’mon Jason, who you kiddding? You know Pace is going to trade up for some obscure QB turned WR in the first round (that no one else considered) then a bunch of D2 players for the rest of the draft. Calling them all BPA.

Lest I remind you Lovie was fired despite having a 10-6 season. If Fox were to pull that off next year, would you wish for him to go? It’s not improbable. Again the focus being on Trubisky. If you get some wunderkid OC to come in and push Trubisky to his full potential, our team easily makes an over .500 run. That is if Trubisky has a potentially high ceiling. Right now we have no way of knowing whether he does or not. And if we see the team dump the whole lot and start anew and they hire an offensive minded HC what happens if Trubisky tanks? And now the defense tanks because you don’t have someone like Fangio leading them? My doubts don’t lie with Fox as much they do with Loggains and Pace. Your hope for changing the coaching staff is based on Pace being able to make a winning choice. My concern is he won’t.
-
No. Apparently you missed it but my idea of having Toub come in as OC was the ‘dumbest idea ever’. (LOL). Canning Fox and Loggains might work if part of your proposal involves keeping Fangio. But remember, Fox is defensive minded, not offense. If you decide to rid us of all of them I think it would prove dangerous. Potentially as bad if not worse than what happened in 2013.
-
One that knows he (Fox) gets renewed if the team goes to the playoffs or beyond next year. If Trubisky is 'it' then that's all our team needs, is someone who could develop him right? As others have pointed out, Fox has proven he can surround himself with good coaches. He did it with Fangio.
-
Again, don't ignore the 'talent' that Pace has cultivated for Fox to work with. Fangio, to his credit is doing a pretty good job. Loggains? Not so much. Or is it the 'talent'? You have a handful of D2 players and Trubisky trying to learn the NFL level of play with Loggains leading the way. Fox was able to some pretty impressive things with the likes of Delhomme and Tebow. I don't think that can be discounted, even if it was some time ago. So instead I'm guessing you'd prefer an unproven coach and hope for a McVay (sp?)? That hope could just as easily flop and set our team back even further than what it is now.

Being a loyal Lovie fan even I realized the mistakes he's made in the past with O coordinators (or was it Cutler screwing it up?)...anyhow... But to compare the 'revolving door' philosophy of OC's with Lovie and Fox is not fair, not to Fox anyhow. Since he's been with the team, who have his OC's been? Gase and Loggains. Gase is off doing his thing in Miami and Loggains...well he's in Chitown doing his thing, whatever that is. If you look at Loggain's past all he's been is a quarterback's coach for Tennessee, Cleveland and Chicago before getting where he is now. And no he wasn't in Tennesse when Mairota was there. He was promoted to their OC after Chris Palmer was fired in 2012. Personally I think, if Fox stays, he should be given another shot with a different OC. Potentially losing both Fox and Fangio would equate a rebuild to me.
