  1. You’re making a case for Pace to be a competent GM. ?
  2. IF… he (Jenkins) starts to play, where does he go?
  3. And 4-5 Carolina is taking it to 8-1 AZ 31-3. Having lost to Pittsburgh the way they did hurts that much more. I agree that the Bears are on the upswing and could conceivably still be in the running for a playoff spot.
  4. What’s even more frustrating is seeing the Lions take Pittsburgh into OT knowing Chicago is a much better team. Meanwhile Washington took TB to town earlier after Brady threw two INTs in the first quarter.
  5. I personally like the big body receivers so count me in on Sutton or Chalk. The commentary you made on Chalk is eerily similar to ARob when he too came from Jax. (Coming off an injury and needing a competent QB). I’m still of the opinion the Bears should try and draft Chris Olave or juniors (should they opt for the draft) Garrett Wilson or Marvin Harrison Jr (yes he’s related) since they have some chemistry with Fields. Seems to be working pretty well for Burrow and Chase in Cincy.
  6. Caught this article. Justin continues to get in our good graces. https://www.audacy.com/670thescore/sports/chicago-bears/justin-fields-bears-will-control-rivalry-packers-very-soon
  7. Sorta related. Caught my attention with ‘TB signs veteran WR’. Wasn’t OBJ but recently released by the Bears B. Perriman. Telling that OBJ is still out there.
  8. Ah yes, the year was 2006. Lovie was the HC and Grossman was the QB. The same year we last went to a Super Bowl. Those were good times. How many "offensive genius/QB whisperer" HC's have we had since then?
  9. I saw this somewhere else, maybe here?
  10. Yep…amazing what a week (or so) difference will make. And funny how a benching can change one’s perspective. Can’t say any of our current DBs are much better. Not suggesting that keeping Fuller was wise due to the money involved but just more so piling on how badly Pace is at evaluating talent.
  11. ?All this? Didn’t get to watch the game until the end of the 3rd quarter (listened on radio before) but man what a different team that last quarter!
  12. That’s the thought I had earlier. Although this was Love’s ‘first official start’ he doesn’t look nearly as ready as he should be. Whereas Fields, a rookie with soon to be six (?) starts looks a heck of a lot better. I don’t get the impression Rodgers is necessarily a very good mentor. I think he’s more like a Joe Flacco type; not his responsibly to teach the new guy. I like where things will stack up after this year.
  13. And Titans are beating up the Rams in LA. Somehow AZ won without Kyler Murray. They’re pretty solid and gonna be hard to beat in the NFC.
  14. I will say this, Fields looks better at this point than Love does…at this point.
  15. Stranger things have happened. Atlanta (3-4) beat New Orleans (5-2) on the road. Denver (3-4) beat the snot out of Dallas (formerly 6-1) on the road and as I type this, Minnesota (3-4) is tied up (31-31) with the Ravens (5-2) in Baltimore and heading into OT.
  16. Meanwhile in Denver, Kyle Fuller doing what Kyle Fuller does (this catch ended up incomplete because of Fuller).
  17. For perspective two teams were fined 100s thousands of dollars and lost a draft pick each for their violations of the COVID protocol last season. It seems Rodgers should face some comparable fine/punishment and the team as well if they were ok with it. Suppose we’ll see what comes of it. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/will-aaron-rodgers-and-packers-face-punishment-from-nfl-heres-a-look-at-the-rules-they-might-have-violated/
  18. And Fields was considered the #2 QB going into the draft. Hope springs eternal.
  19. Got to see Fields’ alma mater (Ohio State) beat my Cornhuskers today. Watched a little bit of Chris Olave play and remembered he had pretty good chemistry with Fields. Seeing how the Bears will need WR help next season I’d say Olave should be one of their first two picks.
  20. Agreed. Don’t know that Monty’s return (if it were this weekend) would be enough to swing in the teams favor. And with Herbert running like he is (and Fields short field play improving) he certainly can afford to rest up. No need to risk further injury by coming back too soon.
  21. ...BUT at the same time Monty returns, so does Nagy. https://wgntv.com/sports/bears-report/as-matt-nagy-returns-to-halas-hall-david-montgomery-returns-to-practice/
  22. So what you're saying is "R-E-L-A-X"??
  23. Saints after losing Jamieson Winston and winning over the Bucs might be in the need for a QB. How about Dalton for the resurgent Kevin White? ??
