  1. I think this is realistic enough. I suspect we won’t have Montgomery for a few weeks but from what I saw, Williams is a capable back and I gotta believe Herbert can get some tough yards too. I think there was one or two times I saw them try to get the ball to a TE not named Jimmy. He’s a definite red zone threat (proved it last year) and between he and Kmet should be able to help loosen things up in the short/mid range. We don’t need Fields to throw 20+ yard bombs every game. Got to see the Patriots/Bucs last night and Jones essentially was running the same plays Brady was. Lots of short yardage gains over the middle to the TEs and quick outs to the WRs with the occasional long throw. The game stayed close throughout with field goals ending up being the deciding factor. There’s no doubt Fields is more talented than Jones and can do all he’s doing. And by the way, I think there’s a good possibility the Bears could beat the Bucs on the road in a few weeks. As long as they play smart and control the ball.
  2. And I blame Desai for not recognizing who is good at the positions they play. As much a fan I am of Vildor I cringe when I see him one on one knowing the Safeties are supposed to cover if he’s not able. Yeah Shelly looked better but all these guys are gonna get ate up against the likes of Carr, Rodgers and Brady in the next three weeks if they don’t start improving and quick.
  3. This is the most baffling to me. This was where Desai cut his teeth but is easily the weakest postion on D. The late TD by Detroit was due to Bush being sucked in and out of position. Meanwhile Jackson was busy complaining (to who I don’t know) and not trying to talk up he teammate.
  4. And somehow the Lions have a ‘delay of game’ that turns into a defensive offsides?!?
  5. Nagy back to calling plays? 2nd and 30 something calls a draw followed by a screen. WT actual F?!??
  6. And without skipping a beat. 3 and out for Detroit followed up by a relatively quick score by Da Bears. Justin looking solid on two +20 yard passes (ARob and Mooney).
  7. On cue, a strip sack is good enough. I take back all the bad things I said about Quinn last year.
  8. Agreed. His coverage on that one big reception was crap. Laying on the ground as he ran by. Nice work Eddie. Doing Bama bad.
  9. I see Bars in for Peters at LOT. Hmmm. edit: he was back for Fields to get hit from behind.
  10. Yeah, was thinking the same. Nagys just scribbling on his ‘menu’ as a distraction.
  11. Fangio-like defense back in true form. Crap between the 20s then a TO. By the way that was caused by a mistake from former 1st round pick Center Ragnow.
  12. Agreed. It was more a rip on Nagy and HIS offense than anything.
  13. To be fair, the WHOLE OFFENSE has been useless to this point. He was the most productive (TD speaking) last year.
  14. Nagy held a press conference a bit ago and said ‘nothing’. But some of the Twitter reactions are hilarious, like this one:
  15. Its like 'Ditka against the Detroit Lions. Ditka 100, Lions -30. DA BEARZZZ.' Bill Swerski would be proud.
  16. Trust me it was pure sarcasm on my part. He thinks he’s clever trying to leave us and the ‘kneecap bitin’ Lions in suspense.
  17. To help Nagy’s case. And to raise our collective anxiety. He’s being cagey (aka clever) about who will start against Detroit.
  18. That would work too. Wasn’t sure if they could move a front office guy to HC. But yeah, I’d agree to that.
