  1. Don't forget the running backs on your targets Stinger...??

    UDFAs

Raw is the key word. He is a freaky athlete with good size. The thing with Teague is that he is not a good functional athlete. Remember Alonzo Spellman? He was a major freak athlete at 290# at 3% body fat. He couldn't get off the line of scrimmage fast enough, even though he had the twitch to do so. Teague had issues with changing speed and direction which are the most important qualities of a running back.
  3. Sentiments echoed. NFL media loves the splash. Bears simply dove into FA and draft without a ripple. They had to. They quickly forget the cap hell and bare cupboard left to Ryan Poles and his staff. We didn't need one or two foundational pieces. According to Bill Polian, we needed 8. You can't get 8 with no money and 5 picks. So, you get more picks for the Mack trade, while freeing up future money. Blah blah blah, we now have 11 picks. IMO, that was a coup, in the deepest draft in decades. Seeing 25 year old rookies will tell you that.(thanks Rona) Add our blended intell from good organizations. Stinger said something akin to 30% of rosters are made up of UDFA's. This was the year to throw darts at the board and hope they stick. I'll take a splashless entry for the gold any day.
  4. I don't really use the site. I thought that some of the folks that do comps and measurables would like it. I would think Velus, Snowden and nation would look good on that.
  5. Have you looked at mockdraftable.com
  6. He traded up for Shaheen in the 2nd didn't he? Not close, especially when George Kittle went much later. Poles is OK.
  7. Pace brought his buddy in to do it. That should have let everyone know, then and there.
  8. Agreed on Master T? He falls down changing directions. I didn't realize Justyn Ross has a congenital spine condition.
  9. I love that we ended up with 11 picks. Not only did we need the fresh bodies, we had the intell from several organizations to return with. With having 6 picks going into the draft, we had to really focus at maximizing the late rounds to get value. Getting 8 picks there, in the deepest draft, will bring some pleasant surprises.(Same with UDFA) Notice that we drafted some older guys and all of them will begin the new culture. I'm definitely looking forward to the growing pains and the growth. We've become one of the youngest teams in the league from being the second oldest.
  10. Kind of a continuation of what my thoughts yesterday. I like that we drafted 11 guys in THIS draft. We needed the youth infusion. These guys will be foundational culture pieces as well as being properly scouted players. Remember, is talking about how important out was to maximize this draft due to all the intell we had from several good scouting departments. I don't doubt for a second that our guys were licking their chops when the opportunity to get more picks presented themselves, with the deepest draft in decades and mega intell. All of this trickles into UDFA, knowing our needs and potentially having to stick with the original 6 picks. My guess is that we went from the 2nd oldest roster in the NFL, to the youngest in one year.
  11. For the record, I believe this is a 6 win team. Believe it or not, I look forward to the growth and an optimistic that we finally have the correct approach to building a roster. Things should get exciting 2023 season.
  12. Good thoughts. Completely agree on OL, as I believe we still don't have starting LT on the roster. We can get by as we did with Peters last year, but who does that develop? Hilton would be a good pickup if affordable. He absolutely will miss games, but he's a great route runner and locker room guy that would valuable in implementing the offense.
  13. One thing about this draft, that I hope pans out, is that it is one of the deepest drafts in a long time, due to delayed graduations/eligibility from covid. So going from 6 to 11 picks is a major plus for the turnover of the roster. Especially since this year's 7th rounders may equate to 5th and 6th rounders. This is what I wanted for this year. The only thing that would have made it better would be to trade Quinn for extra picks. I'm looking forward to watching our young guys have growing pains this season. The following season we'll have draft capital and a better cap, so it will be a depth year and playoff push.(all dependent on Fields)
  14. Nobody is. When people ask their parents about them, they change the subject...?
  15. Absolutely. You can already tell he spends time in the weight room. He's got guns like Bobbie Massie.
  16. Huge wingspan too. That's why they say he needs to get stronger.

    Draft Day 2

We don't need a starting guard. LT is still a problem.

    Draft Day 2

Yea, that's a head scratcher. He looks like a Deebo though.

    Draft Day 2

Tom, Raimann or Tolbert would be good. I don't know how Poles has rated players, but IMO OL and WR are the biggest needs. As fans, we tend to be more to the emotional side of drafting. It seems like they are staying with BPA and will have adjust accordingly later.

    Draft Day 2

Gordon and Brisker were BPA. It shows Poles will stick to the plan.

    Draft Day 2

McAfee says he kicks piss missles...?. He broke him down on his show and said he's a game changer.

    Draft Day 2

One last dream draft. Traded down twice because I liked how it was playing out.
