    ILBs

Really?! You'd take Lamin Barrow over Skov, Jones, or Borland? No way. Skov is a machine, 6'3", 245, a little slow at 5.09, but has great anticipation and very good strength (28 reps). Jones is 6'3", 240, an athletic freak, damn fast for his size (4.68), and has great upside. Chris Borland is a stockier LB at 6' and 248, but he's faster than Skov and plugs virtually every hole. But you'd take Lamin Barrow? Is it just the 40 time? Barrow reminds me of Daniel Manning, a guy with all the tools except the brain to use them. Fast and strong, but in the wrong location and never maximizing full potential. Gimme the Skov and Borland types for ILB all day over the Barrow's of the world.

    Fullbacks

I've always been a fan of the Fullback position. I love the slobber-knockers. Guys who know they will get three carries on the year, and five times as many forehead stitches. I don't know if one fits that well in Trestman's offense, but there are three stud FBs this year that would be good draft picks in the 5th or 6th. Jay Prosch - Pretty good athleticism, opens good holes, takes smart angles, understands how to get to the second level JC Copeland - Dude is a beast. Runs through walls. Blows up blockers, and I don't think we'd have to worry about the short yardage plays in near future. Trey Millard - More of a combo FB/TE/HB player, he could fill a dual need for the Bears...the need that Evan Rodriguez was supposed to fill. I like them all, but I think Millard is the best fit and has the most potential.

    ILBs

Can the Bears wait until the 4th round to get a capable ILB this year? There seems to be a lot of names I'd be content with at that point of the draft: Shayne Skov Christian Jones Chris Borland Max Bullough Yawin Smallwood Given the depth at DT and ILB, I'm even more convinced the Bears should target HHCD or Pryor in the first round, then get their DT in the second. The third round can be a BPA situation. And I think one of the names above will be there in the fourth.

    WTF moment

I think it's just a matter of screen resolution. When I view things at work, there are no issues because I'm using a huge monitor. On my laptop at home, however, it's always stretched...like JA when drafting.

    Ourlads Mock

I would like this draft a lot. I'm not a fan of Gaffney, but if that's the biggest think I have to nit-pick, then it's a good draft.

    Ourlads Mock

I don't think I'd like this mock very much for multiple reasons. I think it's too high for Tuitt, WAY too high for a backup RB, and then taking back-to-back DB is kind of stupid unless, like you said, SJB is being moved/groomed for FS.

    WTF moment

All those developmental guys were drafted by a collection of bad-to-average coaches and GMs. We might have a good group of coaches and a smart GM finally. That's why I think a developmental QB is a good idea. Same as what the Packers have done for years, and it's the reason why they were able to go straight from an eternity with Fartve to what will be a long time with Rodgers. Meanwhile, the Bears have had 128 QBs during that time.

    WTF moment

I don't know if it's just me, but your signature block picture screws up the width of the screen. Could you resize it so scrolling sideways isn't necessary?
  9. LOL. Are you sure it's not time for a Division II Safety or DB? You just know Lovie has his eye on a guy from North Savannah State A&M.
  10. With the 67th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select: Zach Mettenberger QB LSU If he lasts this long, it's a great pick for the Raiders. Schaub is a stop-gap, not a long-term answer. I don't buy into the Savage hype. Atlanta (Stinger) is on the clock.
  11. With the last pick of the second round, the Seahawks select: Marcus Smith, DE, Louisville That's what my Seattle insider wants. He didn't like the WRs at that point because there have been too many taken already.

    WTF moment

The Shae pick was all Lovie. No doubt. If there is a WTF pick, I'd say it's Ebron. Total luxury pick.
  13. With the 61st pick, the 49ers select: Martavis Bryant, WR, Clemson Not the ideal WR since the spot is the position of need, the Niners nonetheless select Bryant because his potential, their WR corp is marginal, and his physical skills are undeniable. A 4.42 and 39" vertical at that size is crazy. He's a weapon they can't pass up at this point. New England (bradjock) are on the clock.
  14. If the defense stays the same, I'm not a huge fan. He speed/athleticism pretty much demands that he stays at MLB, but the deep-middle coverage requirements for a MLB in this system would be a stretch for him. Now, if the Bears required less deep-middle coverage of their MLBs, then I'm all in favor of him as a 3rd round pick. He's a football player with a nose for the ball.
  15. I think you're close. I think the realistic list might be: DT - Donald, Jernigan FS - HHCD, Pryor CB - Gilbert ILB - Mosely However, if one of the blue-chip, top-10 guys fall (e.g. Watkins), he'd have to alter his list.
  16. At 56 the Niners take Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU. The Eagles taking Robinson sort of stole my thunder. Aldon Smith is still a dumbass. SD (bradjock) is on the clock.
  17. He's not a good fit for Chicago...no fresh sea food.
  18. 1. HHCD - HaHa Clinton Dix, S, Bama 2. RSH - RaShede Hageman, DT, Minn 3. SJB - Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska 4. DAT - De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon 5. KPL - Kevin Pierre-Louis, OLB, BC 6. KVDK - Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State 6. JDD - Joe Don Duncan, TE, Dixie State Probably not realistic to squeeze ASJ - Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Wash in there. He's also a 2-3 round guy. I gotta be honest...I wouldn't be upset with this draft. I love the first pick, like Hageman if he falls into the second, and think SJB could be a solid starter in a year or so. DAT has potential to be explosive, and KPL is probably the quickest LB in the draft. Punters, meh, but I don't like the Bears current punter. Duncan was thrown in there for you "we need another TE"-guys.
  19. BTW - I really hope this happens, but if it does, I REALLY hope the Bears draft AJ McCarron as a backup QB. I want to see his girlfriend get more screen-time.

    Bleacher Report Mock

    Obviously for terrator
  21. Doubt it all you want, but the proof is in the link. We could randomly take guesses by throwing shit at a big board and pick the guy where the corn kernel sticks, and have a better bit rate than JA did. No doubt whatsoever.
  22. That's what's so crazy about this one. He traded up and PRYOR WAS THERE. Then he selected a CB. I wouldn't like this one. Too much future mortgaging.
  23. With the 53rd pick in the 20-4 NFL draft, the Packers select: Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State My Green Bay insider wants mobile monsters on the interior OL, and more than one. Richburg is the #1 Center on most boards, and has great intangibles. Seems like a good fit for GB, and the OGs currently available felt like a reach. Almost went with Austin Seferian-Jenkins, but stuck to the GB insider requests. Philly (Adam) are on the clock.
  24. I've been saying almost that same thing for a while. It's not extreme hindsight. Pretty obvious FS is thin and DT is deep. Having said that, I wouldn't be terribly upset with a draft that started with Donald and Hageman. I'd be pretty happy because it means the battle in the trenches most likely would be won by Chicago.
