  1. What I've seen so far this year, I like. Man, Alaska, you are becoming MR. NEGATIVE NANCY every week. Hey, hop on the improved wagon and just enjoy the new ride.

    Oh Peter

This from King's FMIA: " Looks bad for the Packers. So hurt, and so reliant on the quarterback who clearly is not whole." Oh, wa, wa wa. Poor Puckers. Who cried for us the last few years when injuries destroyed? My wish is that they linger in limbo for years with Rodgers. We've got the D to make him nuts now. So, Mr. King, don't expect me or other Bears fans to feel the least bit of sympathy. Be aware: these Bears are FOR REAL!
  3. Watson won't last, he's going to be maimed in the NFL. You just cannot let the franchise guy be a runner in this NFL. Ds will be out for him every game. That's not to say that they deliberately will hurt him, but you just cannot expose your franchise guy to so much punishment week after week. I love it when Trub gets a needed gain, but I don't want him to be the guy that will take off every down.
  4. I have always liked math! Lets do it this time Bears!

    Bears Rookies

Agree on this as a great draft. And I too like Tolliver over Cooper.
  6. I don't think we had tese detailed stats when the Greatest D on Earth was having so much fun in '85. It would be interesting to get their take on the present group.
  7. PFT says NO suspension for Hicks. Great!
  8. FWIW, I'm waiting to see what kind of suspension Hicks is going to get for shoving a ref. I think we have great depth now. So a game off might even be a good thing.
  9. Peter-MR PACKER KISSER-King said it in FMIA (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/10/01/fmia-week-4-quarter-pole-nfl-peter-king/?cid=nbcsports): "10. Chicago got its first big game from Mitchell Trubisky, and look out if it’s the first of many. The six-touchdown-pass masterstroke to rout Tampa Bay on Sunday was so different from Trubisky’s first three mediocre games. Coach Matt Nagy told me: “The teaching moment for me this week was just letting Mitch know that no matter what happens, we are all in his corner.” Something worked. Trubisky had five touchdown passes by halftime. If Trubisky is even a B-minus QB the rest of the way, this defense is going to make the 3-1 Bears very hard to beat. " (hi-lite mine) I love reading King's column every Monday, though he does kiss Green Bay's butt. He is upfront, and, usually, on target. The D IS better-than-good, and we are finally getting some respect. Kudos to all the players for putting on a show that I love this season. And to Nagy, all the coaches, Pace and, hey why not, Virginia!
  10. I bet it has Fangio and every Bear on D excited. But yea, don't look past the Dolphins.
  11. My, my! 35-3 BEFORE halftime! Beyond expectations. Haven't seen this kind of Bear dominance since '84-86. LOVE IT.
  12. On USA today just saw this one: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has new TV ad, and it makes Bears fans disappear https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2018/09/29/green-bay-packers-aaron-rodgers-ad-bears-fans-disappear-nfl/1471220002/ Sure hope that Mack Trev and Co. get a good look at this. Personally, I'd like to see them rip him apart, then ask him if HE could disappear!
  13. I noticed that after Mitch threw the 4th quarter TD on the sidelines Nagy was right in his helmet for quite a while. Wonder what he was saying. An I do believe that Nagy is all in on Mitch and Mitch is all in on Nagy. What a big change from Fox.
  14. Nice to have so many notables. What about Hicks and the DL? This group could be something special, dare I say it, like a group from '85-86? They are fun to watch, and as the season goes on, they are going to gel even more, IMdO.
  15. Agree with Smith over Kwiat. We need the speed.
  16. Yep. We could have been much more aggressive in the second half. Was very disappointed in Sims--he has cement feet and couldn't get the extra inches on at least two receptions to give us a first down.
  17. Maybe not 150, but I think Mack changes things a bunch in our division.
  18. From the stats I saw, which admittedly are few, he seems to be out-distancing O'Donnell. So I can see it happening since O'Donnell is not the greatest.
  19. Great! I'm sure the coaches will know how to work him up to speed. Want to see him upsetting Rodgers in the season opener.

    OTA's

Your mouth to God's ears! Yes, oh yes!
  21. Jason " As for your direct challenge, I'll do it, but there is one problem. We don't know what the players would have done on any other team. A player's success or failure has a lot to do with the talent and team around him. " Was that you or Jay Cuttler? And, yes, " All of the above is still an uncertainty, mostly because nobody knows what the teams will or won't do with the other several dozen positions over the next few years." Great qualifiers/outs. So, really, tell us where you are.
  22. Great point Stinger. IMdO HH can make this OL solid. I love the pieces he has, and, since he had an input, I bet he does too.
