  1. Put me on board for Beekman over Omiyale. And like you say, how long will it take for the change to happen?
  2. Well said on all accounts jason. We are only one game into the season, it is way too early to throw this team under the bus. And win at home against the reigning champs and we will have a much different outlook all the way around.

    BTW

Congrats! Never could imagine myself as a granpappy, but it happened! And yes, bring that boy up as a BEAR!!!
  4. Congrats! Building quite the family there bowlingtwig!
  5. Agreed. Fote and Olsen were not used. Damnit, they are solid weapons, get them the ball.
  6. Agreed. Why come out pass-happy when we have Forte? Maybe Beekman needs to come back and Omyale sit.
  7. Good to see someone not screaming the sky is falling. Yeah, it sucks that our new star threw a career-high 4 interceptions, but the game was very close until the end. The O will learn from this and come out better at home theis Sunday. Oh, and there were also positives from the game--Deven getting a TD pass and Knox getting some much needed experience. Now, come on Ron and Cutler, get Olsen in on the fun!
  8. MRI today, per the SunTimes. Got rid of two starting LBs with the Steelers coning to town. Oh My! At least Hilly has experience. This is shaping up to be a game of survival.
  9. We all know it's true. I just pray that Harris was sandbagging it for the preseason and he'll earn his keep this year.
  10. Please, don't even say Forte and the "H" word in the same sentence. He goes down and it will be pass, pass pass. And that is not going to be pretty. God, Wolfe and AP as backups! As long as they're backups we're in good shape. But we all know that RBs take the punishment.
  11. Yes, he did. And if anyone's going to get killed, I'd bet it's anyone on the kickoff or punt teams. If they can't handle the violence of the game, get another job. Of course, they wouldn't make the big $.
  12. Pix, I really had fun with the Pickums, but, really, I understand your position. We gotta do what we gotta do. Keep following the Beloved Bears and don't worry about.

    First cuts

Agree. Rideau=this years' Hass. Time to move on, both for the team and for him.
  14. I just don't understand Wolfe. Thge staff seems to like him, perhaps due to ST production. But when they do use him on the O, it's usually on runs between the tackles, that just beffudles me.
  15. I liked the experience and the desire he brought to the table. Well, AP stays and another roster spot opens up I guess.
  16. Oh yeah! Let's see if Lovie has some D surprises for the Puckers, who are now being touted by some as the team to beat in the NFC North. Beat them in the opener on the road and I will feel very good indeed.
  17. Does that mean we are stuck with Hood? Yikes! If our DL can't get pressure, we are going to have a real shootout in GB.
  18. The move would not surprise me. AP has consistently done his job, but we have 3 guys that the staff seems to like at RB, and, as you pointed out, we have a passle of players that are showing skills on STs. He's good in the lockerroom, but we know that coaches like to go with youth. Would be sad to see him go.
  19. Agree, and if we can get the DL to produce this season it is going to be one bitchin' D!
  20. Only getting him after being released, and only to be the no. 3. I like what Hanie is showing and, oh God please, let him watch and learn for a long, long time.
  21. Good questions and analysis Nfo. IMdO, Hunter has an edge simply based on his backup role to Url. McClover is probably seen as insurance in case Williams cannot come back. I does raise questions about STs and Davis's chances to stick. Right now I'd say Davis should be concerned.
  22. Yep. Take the injury settlement and move on with your life. Too bad, the guy really had a great motor. I wish him luck.
