  1. Agree. I also read that Lovie says the guy they get at #49 will be looked at as a solid contributor. I can't see us going after someone with our first pick that will need to be nursed along all that much. I'm hoping that Robiskie is there, but I can see us going S, DE or even OL if the right poayer is thre and the right WR is not.
  2. No such luck here. ESPN will have all soccer matches troughout Saturday. They even got rid of the English version of SportsCenter and only have the Spanish one. It's a bummer. But at leat their's the Internet!
  3. I'll periodically check the web for updates. There will not be any transmission of the draft here.
  4. I would rephrase that to: Most importantly, unless there's an EXTREME run on WR's, there ought to be a pretty damn good SELECTION of WR available when the Bears draft at #49. This position prooves to be a crap shoot every year. I hope we do get a wide sortment to choose from, though.
  5. I too don't think that we draft WR with our first two picks. IMdO, they have several options on thier board for each pick and they'll go with BPA that also fits a need--unless, of course, someone has fallen dramatically to our pick that is not, necessarily, a need. I think we go into the draft with WR and FS as top needs up front. Now, if an OL were to fall to the 49th pick that we like, then I can see JA taking him as well. I can see us taking two WR in the draft, just not consecutively.
  6. Ain't that the sad truth?
  7. Great news! Maybe I'll get a chance to see some of those games here! And I promise not to go to sleep after the first half!!!
  8. For what it's worth, NFL.com says we will have the weakest schedule next seas based on 2008 numbers: http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true And by the way, Minny has the second weakest!

    UDFA?

Thanks. I'm referring to players that weren't drafted by any team, but signed later.

    UDFA?

Since we have a very limited no. of draft picks now, quite a few Undrafted Free Agents will probably be brought in, to TC at least. My question is, does anyone know if we have any UDFAs on the current roster?
  11. Agree. Now, can we live up to the hype?
  12. I agree. We get a proven player and do not take the risk that always goes with draft picks, from the first round especially. We now can use the money that would have been spent on a risk to get players that are proven and also to reward players that we have that we want to keep. It was a win-win deal.
  13. Maybe Brian Url will get the idea and step up on D. I really doubt it, though. Briggs could be the man, but our D seems to be loadede with guys who are great individual players who also like to playwith other individual players. None have yet to stand out as a leader who rallies the rest of the team when necessary.
  14. That, plus the fact that Turner loves to use the QB to PASS. I'd expect to see alot more passing attempts from our O, and fewer roll-overs when we have third an long. We can now get those done with Cutler back there.
  15. The Bears as an offense first team?! Now that would take a bit to get used to, but I would like to have that option for once.
  16. You got that right! Lovie NOW needs to get it done!
  17. We should carve that one in stone and wait a few months (days, weeks?) for the old Nfo to resurface! LOL
  18. Big bucks that can be used on vets, not on unproven roolies. Great move, IMdO. Good luck Kyle!
  19. Just think, A FRANCHISE QB in Blue and Orange!!!
  20. OMG!!! Are we going to rock?! Now Hester can get the ball and Olsen can step it up. And Forte? Man, he should get some space for a great second year!
  21. Hey, today is my birthday, and I've heard 'em all, so no surprise here OmahaBear!
  22. If Pace is being signed to move Williams over to RT, forget it. Positions are not interchangeable, and we want Williams, our first round pick, to start earning his $, getting into the OL for a long run at it. If Pace is being used as a Rt, the yeah, sign him. But I hope that, if we do sign him, that it doesn't mean we ignore the OL on day one of the draft. That would be a mistake, IMdO.
  23. Agree. If Sanchez is there at 18 I'd grab him. He can be the no.2 behind Orton, after giving him his shot in TC and Pre-Season.
  24. IF we do sign Pace, then mark OL off the draft list. And yeah, it would mean that JA is living in the past with OL and not even dealing correctly with the future. Pace doesn't fill me with much confidence at this point in his career.
