  1. Congrats! Building quite the family there bowlingtwig!
  2. Agreed. Fote and Olsen were not used. Damnit, they are solid weapons, get them the ball.
  3. Agreed. Why come out pass-happy when we have Forte? Maybe Beekman needs to come back and Omyale sit.
  4. Good to see someone not screaming the sky is falling. Yeah, it sucks that our new star threw a career-high 4 interceptions, but the game was very close until the end. The O will learn from this and come out better at home theis Sunday. Oh, and there were also positives from the game--Deven getting a TD pass and Knox getting some much needed experience. Now, come on Ron and Cutler, get Olsen in on the fun!
  5. MRI today, per the SunTimes. Got rid of two starting LBs with the Steelers coning to town. Oh My! At least Hilly has experience. This is shaping up to be a game of survival.
  6. We all know it's true. I just pray that Harris was sandbagging it for the preseason and he'll earn his keep this year.
  7. Please, don't even say Forte and the "H" word in the same sentence. He goes down and it will be pass, pass pass. And that is not going to be pretty. God, Wolfe and AP as backups! As long as they're backups we're in good shape. But we all know that RBs take the punishment.
  8. Yes, he did. And if anyone's going to get killed, I'd bet it's anyone on the kickoff or punt teams. If they can't handle the violence of the game, get another job. Of course, they wouldn't make the big $.
  9. Pix, I really had fun with the Pickums, but, really, I understand your position. We gotta do what we gotta do. Keep following the Beloved Bears and don't worry about.

    First cuts

Agree. Rideau=this years' Hass. Time to move on, both for the team and for him.
  11. I just don't understand Wolfe. Thge staff seems to like him, perhaps due to ST production. But when they do use him on the O, it's usually on runs between the tackles, that just beffudles me.
  12. I liked the experience and the desire he brought to the table. Well, AP stays and another roster spot opens up I guess.
  13. Oh yeah! Let's see if Lovie has some D surprises for the Puckers, who are now being touted by some as the team to beat in the NFC North. Beat them in the opener on the road and I will feel very good indeed.
  14. Does that mean we are stuck with Hood? Yikes! If our DL can't get pressure, we are going to have a real shootout in GB.
  15. The move would not surprise me. AP has consistently done his job, but we have 3 guys that the staff seems to like at RB, and, as you pointed out, we have a passle of players that are showing skills on STs. He's good in the lockerroom, but we know that coaches like to go with youth. Would be sad to see him go.
  16. Agree, and if we can get the DL to produce this season it is going to be one bitchin' D!
  17. Only getting him after being released, and only to be the no. 3. I like what Hanie is showing and, oh God please, let him watch and learn for a long, long time.
  18. Good questions and analysis Nfo. IMdO, Hunter has an edge simply based on his backup role to Url. McClover is probably seen as insurance in case Williams cannot come back. I does raise questions about STs and Davis's chances to stick. Right now I'd say Davis should be concerned.
  19. Yep. Take the injury settlement and move on with your life. Too bad, the guy really had a great motor. I wish him luck.
  20. I hope he stays just healthy enough to remain in the lineup. He has shown over the past several seasons that he is quite adept at running a team into the ground. He also has shown that he can get the head coach fired and set the team back as far as QB development. Oh yeah, and I want to see Briggs pummel him in both the games we play the Queens.
  21. Agree Pix. As far as Matt Jones, IMdO, we have a ton of possible WRs already on the team. If the coaches can't get production out of these guys, we need to boot the coaches, not go after Jones.
  22. It also seemed to me an inocuous statement when I read it. And I agree, Hester should be more adapt at breking these things up given his previous status as DB. Just media trying to find something to hype, IMdO.
  23. As I stated in the thread "Not Convinced", I had my doubts that the guy was really in good shape. Now it's gonna be frustrating to hear the "day-to-day" stuff on him. Who are they hiding this all from? And why give the guy a BIG contract knowing that he's not fully recovered?
