  1. I hope he stays just healthy enough to remain in the lineup. He has shown over the past several seasons that he is quite adept at running a team into the ground. He also has shown that he can get the head coach fired and set the team back as far as QB development. Oh yeah, and I want to see Briggs pummel him in both the games we play the Queens.
  2. Agree Pix. As far as Matt Jones, IMdO, we have a ton of possible WRs already on the team. If the coaches can't get production out of these guys, we need to boot the coaches, not go after Jones.
  3. It also seemed to me an inocuous statement when I read it. And I agree, Hester should be more adapt at breking these things up given his previous status as DB. Just media trying to find something to hype, IMdO.
  4. As I stated in the thread "Not Convinced", I had my doubts that the guy was really in good shape. Now it's gonna be frustrating to hear the "day-to-day" stuff on him. Who are they hiding this all from? And why give the guy a BIG contract knowing that he's not fully recovered?
  5. I dunno flea, they look big enough to me!
  6. The Score just reported that Joey LaRoque is gone. So Hilly is still in the mix.
  7. Agree. If Cutler can get the job done and Url can lead the D as he used to do, then BFD!
  8. I envy you guys. Seems like a great opportunity to see the players up close and also see them working to get ready for the season. When I retire and move back to the States one of the things I'm putting on my agenda is TC every year.
  9. Dusty is one of the odd men out on the DL. He is most definitely on the chopping block with TC ready to start. If he's gonna stay, he needs to have one hell of a camp.
  10. It's hard to believe that this was something that anyone knew about beforehand. From the articles I've been reading--see Brad Briggs, SunTimes--the Secondary is one of our big questionmarks. Though Peanut was lauded as our anchar back there. That tells me it was not previously known, not outside of Halas Hall, at least. But hey, we've got the coaches now on D so they will be abe to work out the pecking order. And Vasher needs to get back to form this season or else.
  11. Brad Briggs writes in the Sun Times that Marinelli feels Harris is "Ready to Go." BUt Marinelli's statement was: He SEEMS PRETTY healthy?????? Doesn't fill me with alot of confidence. And if Harris is not back we better be looking at another anchor for the DL.
  12. If Lovie has the D working we will be a beast. IF. I do believe, though, that the team is hungry to get back and finish off the big dance this season.
  13. Almost. Just a bit longer. Be patient! You can tell it is getting closer by the increased number of posts here. About time! LOL
  14. Back at ya! I really miss this holiday. Just another Saturday here in the middle of winter. About 48º and threatening rain here. But hey, we are just that much closer to the start of TC! Happy 233rd to ya all!
  15. Agreed. We spent a good chunk for Cutler. I think we can do well with the WRs we've got now, and, if need be, get someone later who gets cut in TC. But let's not mortgage the future for one WR that may just end up being more trouble than he's worth.
  16. Thanks DBDB. Now all is right with the world!
  17. The deceased's family has agreed on the restitution, so that's the end of that. But Stalworth is going to have to carry the fact that he is partially to blaim for the death of someone. He will get on with his life, but I'd think there will always be that fact in the back of his brain for the rest of his life. Sad all the way around.
  18. JA and the Bears have had quite the offseason. Now, Lovie needs to put the pieces together and win the Super Bowl!
  19. I don't think McMahon is mature today! LOL And how about him mooning the helicopter at the Super Bowl practice?! I really liked the guy as our QB.
  20. Yes, I too think it is very hypocritical. And a risk? Look at it from our point of view--we need a solid QB, one that can get the ball into WR's hands. Cutler does that. So we get a Pro Bowler, and young that can be around for many years. I think it was worth the price. Also, I can see Cutler's point of view. Denver fired Shanahan and brought in a new guy who immediately tries to trade for a QB. Man, if I were Cutler I'd be pissed too. Bottom line, we now have a QB that can play. Keep blah, blah, blahing Dungy.
  21. Not surprised. And ain't it nice to have some depth on the OL?
  22. Harlon is in the Hall of Fame, right?
  23. IF Harris can stay healthy, then I'm looking for Marinelli to push him back to Pro Bowl level. And yes, it all starts with the DL.
  24. Yep, you are right. I just remember when he had 97 receptions in 1964, which was big. And that was the year that Butkus and Sayers were rookies.
