  1. Ah men to that! Url is being eaten alive because the DL is not geting the job done and our DBs acts like they want to leave the stadium when the ball is snapped.
  2. That should pretty much be the mantra for the off -season: "Everything starts in the trenches. We need OL and DL help." Repeat: "Everything starts in the trenches. We need OL and DL help."
  3. Fix the OL. It all starts in the trenches. And I'd expect Marinelli, when Lovie gets him, will bring some umph to the D line. Keep grooming Beekman to take over for Kreutz, keep St. Clair to push Beekman at LG, get a solid sub for Tait and get us a RG that can bulldoze for Forte.
  4. No to Mike Martz. He won't get it done here.
  5. I can agree with #s 1 & 2, but we don't know if Hanie is "not NFL worthy." I am with many of the other posters here in believing Hanie to be a keeper based on his preseason performance. If he can stay off thefield and learn for at least one more year it will mean he's more "NFL worthy" and that those ahead of him on the depth chart are getting the job done. Hanie is a keeper.
  6. Great job Bearfan2000. Seemed like were were chasing you all season! Enjoyed it Pix. Thanx for taking the effort to set this up and keep it running. Look out next year!
  7. I agree, and I bet that Lovie has been on the phone with Marinelli already.Babich is an easy scapegoat. Let's see if Lovie throws him under the bus. It just seems to me, though, that the league has figured out the Cover 2/Tampa 2/ Lovie 2 scheme. And Lovie is not one to alter his approach one iota. So we are stuck with Lovie and the scheme.
  8. A few more positives: Lions are 0-16 and likely will need a new coach, again. Puckers finish at 6-10. Not all is bad!
  9. Does Jerry Angelo get that? I don't think he does.
  10. Kyle will be back, based on the progress he showed during the year. We do need to have a viable candidate to challenge him in TC. FA? Draftee? Don't know. But yea, I don't think that QB is the top priority need on this team. WRs and OL and a replacement for Brown are, IMdO.

    Embarrassing

I think people tend to bring up the negatives before anything else. Heck, when we went to the Super Bowl there were tons of negative psot prior to the game. There are positives from the season, but I can't look at thems until tomorrow. This loss was heartless and, again, it seems the team did not come to play. The lack of fire/desire to do what it takes to win these close games is damning. Lovie needs to get some grit!

Not attacking you kyyle23, but those that would say the team did a good job considering the prognosticator's outlook. If the team really thought they wouldn't make it when the season started, then I'm very disappointed. We had shots all through the season and stupid mistakes caused looses that were within our grasp.

    Embarrassing

This loss makes the season a disappointment. And I was, and will be, waiting for the rationalizations that we didn't have a snowball's chance from day one. We were right in it up to this game and the team did not show up. It is embarrassing.
  14. The lack of fire in this team pisses me off!
  15. We just never turned into a solid D that stops teams on third down or gets take-aways and scores. And you know what else hurts? The Queens are probably going to lose!
  16. Shite! We had the ball on the Texans' 39 and got nothing. This team is not playoff worthy.
  17. Allowing the Texans to move too easily. Blown assignment for a TD? Come on guys. This is the final week, get the assignments down. And letting them march all the way down the field after Maynard drops a great punt is frustrating, again!
  18. Agree. Won't be long till the Giants pack it in and play the scrubs.
  19. Player-Coach would be great. But I have a hard time seeing Browny liking the idea of having limited participation.
  20. I agree. I can't see Gruden losing to Oakland at home with so much at stake. And you know their D will show up for the DC's last regular season game.
  21. I see us winning this one 31-24. I think that Orton and Forte will have solid games. I also think that our only hope is for NY to beat Minny, which I think they will. I don't see us squeezing in as a widlcard, cause the Bucs are going to beat up on Oakland.
  22. There was text in that message?!!! I agree with you Connorbear. Resign St. Clair, we can use him as solid depth on the OL. Take a long look at available WRs in FA and bring one in, but don't sell the farm to get him--they just don't do much in our system anyway.
  23. Feliz Navidad!! Be safe!
  24. Now that was low, from a guy who calls his freezing relatives from the 9th tee the day after Christmas!!
