While I wasn't able to find an online stream till late in the second quarter and thus missed the bears 3 first half TD's I'll comment on what I saw. Offensively. We are inconsistent, when things are clicking we look great but we seem to hit a snag, be it a bad play, and the rest of the drive loses it's flow. We keep wanting to run Forte inside but don't get the push in the middle to give him a chance, he's not the type of back that can maul up the middle and make his own hole. Forte's at his best when he can use his vision make cuts. If we can't open holes up the middle then we need to stop running him there. I thought Jay looked pretty sharp, made good decisions, I felt the grounding call late in the game was iffy, he was throwing it at Forte's feet and felt he got it close enough to forte. we had some drops on key plays that ended drives at critical points in the game. Time Management/urgency. It was maddening to watch the end of the first half we had over a min and 1 time out and we were just milling around lining up wasting precious time as if we had all the time in the world. I've seen us run a no huddle/hurry up, but no idea why we didn't there, that is when you need to be aggressive with that lead, try to get 6 not just settle to get yourself in position to try a long FG. Defensively Need to learn to tackle, I see a Defense that is not fundamentally sound, I continue to see arm tackles, trying to hit guys to the ground, and taking bad angles. Jacobs game today is a prime example, on a guy like that you need to get lower and get leverage to either get him off his feet or take his feet out from under him, when you let guys like that keep their feet moving bad things happen. I'm tired of watching bad things happen. We are a sieve on D, if we don't get the take aways we couldn't stop a nose bleed. And it starts up front, no pressure, and no run stopping. You have to have push up the middle and you have to contain the outside we don't do much of either. We let QB's have all day to throw, we let RB's cram the ball down our throat and we let them have the edge. 3rd Down... I don't know what the stats were but it seemed every time we got them into third and med to long we let them off the hook with a huge conversion. We have got to get off the field on 3rd down, too many long drives, and chunk plays. In the past we may have allowed a team to drive on us but we would force them to nickle and dime their way down the field and capitalize on their mistakes. Now we let them drive at will up and down the field. I hate to say it but I'm beginning to question Tucker and to some extent Trestman's coaching. Maybe I'm expecting too much too quickly but we don't seem as disciplined as a whole as we have in the past. Marinelli had that defense playing at a high level, Toub had our special teams top notch, and I feel like our offense is only marginally better at this point. I'm speaking here in generalities as there are positives on offense that we've seen. Such as better play by Jay, better pocket presence, better line play, better weapons, and Jay has had a cleaner pocket to throw from. I see an offense that has potential but hasn't put it all together yet. We see glimpses, but we're inconsistent which is partly to be expected. The D shouldn't be this bad, with all the vets we have in there, and running the same scheme that they did under Lovie, perhaps the mistake here was that Tucker didn't implement his system, but rather let the inmates run the asylum. That was supposed to be a positive thing with the mindset of if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well guess what it's broke and it needs to be fixed. Sure we've had injuries but were weren't playing well before the injuries. I do feel like if we can tighten up the tackling, and figure out how to get pressure especially up the middle then I feel like the D can stabilize. All in all, while not a satisfying win by any stretch. We are 4-2, and on top of the division by .5 game over Detroit. We play another weak but dangerous team in Washington who's currently 1-3 and could very well be 1-4 come next Sunday. We have an extended time to get ready for them and a much needed bye week after that game. In that bye week I think the D needs to get back to fundamentals and the offense needs to work on consistency, and getting better at being on the same page. With a win of the Skins we could enter the bye week 5-2 and in the lead in the division. Detroit has a tough matchup this week against the Browns especially if Johnson is a no go again. and another tough matchup vs the Bengals the following week.

Thank God for Jennings... saves the day potentially. If the D doesn't come up with turnovers they are atrocious. I don't believe we can stop anyone straight up.
-
we're getting held a lot, but we also aren't doing the job in the secondary. We can't stop a nose bleed.... Looking like we're going to need a 4th quarter TD drive to win this game.... pathetic.....
-
agree the ball was thrown well was catchable. then I think the 3rd and 4 call should have been more of a possession type play. We give the Giants back the ball still down only one score.... D is going to have to keep us in front. and it doesn't help to make Jacobs look like an all pro.
-
incomplete?????? my arse finally they get one right and not call interference seems like the zebras are looking to give the giants every break we dont' need that.
-
down only 6 D needs to step up and shut them down. Wish the Bears had killer instinct. this game shouldn't be close right now.
-
bullshit he didn't give himself up that is a fumble.... then another bs interference.... the receiver was pushing the DB should be no call.... getting jobbed, lots of no calls on clear holding....
-
pathetic D on that third down catch by Nicks
-
nice drive till that holding penalty, good kick by Gould D needs to put the clamps down. Watching this on a british streem they sure have weird arse commercials. lol
-
need to learn about something called a hurry up offense.

Do they let you take signs with you? If I can I could make a two sided sign with Talk Bears on one side and Bears related something on the other. I'm guessing if you do bring a sign it'd have to be able to be folded up and packed in that one clear bag your allowed lol. At the very least I will definitely post some pictures from the game -
This is a game that we should win easily, as a Bears fan those are the games that have worried me as we've seen the Bears barely win or lose these type of games when the other team has no business being in the game. I'm look at this one to see how we play and if the staff has the Bears ready to go and we take care of business. Here's to the Bears helping the Giants keep their record unblemished by victories with a perfect 0-6. I'd love nothing more than to see the Bears D-Line show up tonight and smack Manning around like a Piniatta would serve the Giants right.

Good to see the initiative on the Offensive players part. I'm sure they are well aware of the lack of production at times and I'm sure they are just as dissatisfied with it as we are. I think we have the right people in place both players, and coaching to get the offense on track. It's going to be a work in progress, and we do have to be patient with them. It's easy to get frustrated watching the game and wanting them perform at a high level. I think the Giants game represents and opportunity to get on track and in rhythm. The Giants are an awful team right now. If we come out and blow the doors off, we'll need to temper the excitement a bit because of the opponent, but if we still look bad and either start fast,or slow then bog down till the end, I think that would be cause for concern. But if they go out there and perform well to great it can give us a glimpse of what the offense is capable when they are able to execute. I think the revenge factor is there but I'm sure it's not the main focus. The team's had two losses where they have looked bad on offense, and want to bounce back.

TV shouldn't be an issue, it's in Chicago the lights will be fairly close to us as I believe 438 has 37 rows. But near midfield so can't complain at all there it will be cool to be at a historic game. We had talked about going to either this thursday's or that one but the historical significance made it an easy call. We'll just need to be sure we use the restroom before the game lol. -

not good, a weak area continues to be depleted by injury.... should be a high priority in the draft/FA this coming offseason.

a little nervous about that game watching Romo throw for over 500 yards and 48 points against a good Denver D -
in an offensive league we cannot be stagnant for the majority of the game and only put up 10 points till the last minutes of the game, too many waisted opportunities. The was stuck trying to keep us in this till the offense got it's head out of ist arse. If we'd have had any offense early in this game we'd have been in better shape as the D did a very good job early on keeping NO offense in check but you can only hold down their offense for so long. Simply put to state the obvious we need to produce more on offense. 10 points trough most of the game won't cut period...

The Bears are undefeated in games my dad and I have attended! We'll do our best to cheer on the Bears to a win and enjoy a historic halftime ceremony honoring Da Coach -
he really is fun to listen to. Thanks to him we have the Willie Wonka nickname for Trestman lol It's good to see some personality on the team.

242 per, which is roughly double face and if I dug around or waited I might have been able to get them cheaper on craigslist but I should have the tickets in hand by next Friday with a guarantee that they will be legit. The way I look at it is I don't go to a game very often so I'm willing to splurge a little. Could have gotten cheaper tickets in other sections but being felt it was worth being near mid field -
Got seats in section 438 row 35 seats 13 & 14. Should have a great view near mid field for the game and Ditka's retirement ceremony!!! Looked at several ticket sites and I gotta say I like that StubHub lists the final cost up front. Ticket Exchange was more expensive, Vivid Seats seems to have the highest fees. Hoping for great weather and a Bears win!!!!

I think Trestman will use this game as a learning tool. I think the team as a whole lost it's focus when things started going crazy. I do feel like the team got back under control in the second half but were in too deep of a hole to climb out (at least at this point in the season). We are a work in progress, If you take away that stretch in the 2nd quarter we're looking at a much different game. I think we have to keep that in perspective and not let it skew the whole game. Trestman can use this as a coaching tool to teach the team how to better deal with adversity because it will happen, and if you don't handle it well and stop the bleeding quick enough you may lose the patient. Jay's mechanics I felt changed three times in this game, he started out fine, then regressed/reverted as things got out of hand, and then got better in the second half and in particular the 4th quarter. I think there is a positive in that after the 4 turnovers Jay was able turn things around offensively and play better. There will be times when things don't go our way, but learning how to overcome adversity within a game is something that takes time, and practice.

The true test is how we come out next week against a tough Saints team. If we come out, put this game behind us and come out solid and get a win. That will be big. It's not whether or not you will face adversity it's how you respond. Do you get up off the mat and come back swinging or do you wilt. Perhaps a game like this is a wake up call of sorts. This season we have flirted with losing this time it bit us.
