Like I said I was really excited about Polian. What worries me is this turning in to Polian recommending only his guys. The NFL is full of talented guys from each org. Sounds like Ryan Poles may be the guy. If after interviewing 100 different GM Candidates, this is the guy Polian says is the best I'll be excited to see what this guy does. If the Bears hired a Colts guy for GM and HC i would be worried. The good old boy network gave us Pace and Fox which led to Mitch over Deshaun and Patrick and then Nagy...... Ted's connection to Ernie and Mickey Loomis did not work out. I only want the BEST guy available.

GM first is a must. I hope they have one picked soon. As For Daboll, i can get excited about him as a HC. Fields to the MOON!!!!!

I was initially really excited about Polian being brought in. Im starting to get worried, we don't need an Indianapolis GM and HC. Jim Caldwell will make me puke. I pray that with them interviewing so many guys someone blows their doors off and it is not "just a polian guy".

Depends, if it's about the money than I don't see it being an issue. If he builds a winner guys will want to be there because it's a great city, it's not like you are trying to get FA's to move to GB.

It has always been a problem with the top. George gets moved from the ticket office and guess who helps hire Emery instead of Licht..... Ted Philips.... Everyone knows what George is, he's the grandkid of George Halas who is just a FAN. He needs someone who knows what the freak they are doing sitting next to him. Ted is numbers guy not a football guy. He should have been removed from Football a long time ago. Emery then hires Trestman instead of Arians which means we get Tucker instead of Bowles as DC..... the part where Tucker has to run Lovies defense while not knowing the defense BLOWS my mind away. Then Ted and Loomis want Pace and not Ballard....... Ted caused many years of SHIT football. I hope i never run into him in person.

True. I would think he would be very involved in the QB development as I would think Andy Reid has had a lot to do with Mahomes development. Is he a leader? Can he get other talented coaches to follow him to the Bears? Those would be my two main questions as we can see his offense works with a good oline / QB / Wr's.

I think the Bears have to go Offensive HC and a GM that has proven to be able to draft offense. The NFL is an offensive league, all teams that have had sustained success have had a great QB and offense. From the List of HC candidates here are the offensive coaches. Leftwich = he needs more experience. Started coaching in 2017. Started in AZ and now in Tampa. I believe he's only been coaching under Bruce. Jim Caldwell - NO THANKS, two-time HC IND and DET. A hair over .500. Ive seen that movie already. Hackett - GB OC, how good is he having Rodgers. He has been coaching for a long time other than that i don't know much about him. Pedersen - won a SB , not really a fan of him tho. Been around the league a long time. Brian Daboll - has been coaching a long time, was with the NE for 5 SB's. Experiencing prep for a SB is very valuable. He's helped coach Tom Brady and watched Tom Brady firsthand, also valuable. He's coached under Nick Saban as well. Daboll has also developed Josh Allen, something we need with Justin Fields. One thing i don't know about him is if he is a great leader. I think Daboll is the clear choice if you go offensive HC. IF Justin Fields develops into an elite QB coaches from the Bears staff will be poached, I would rather not have to change offensive systems every time an OC gets hired away. He has experience under two of the best HC's to ever coach, he has experience developing a young QB.

As Chicago Fans we have recently watched the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawk turn around their franchise. What did the Cubs do ? What did the Bulls do? What did the Blackhawks do....... They all did what the Bears refuse to do. IT starts at the Top and at the Top of the Bears its George. George has told us with this own mouth he is just a fan. Being a Fan myself, on the outside looking in i didn't need to talk to Bill Polian and other NFL guys to know Pace and Nagy needed to be fired. The McCaskeys are afraid of Change. Bears need major change. I pray Polian helps George make the right decision. If he doesn't we will be right back to this same position within 4 to 5 years. George will then need to call the Next Ernie or Bill for advice on whether to fire the new GM and HC. Wouldn't it be nice if the Bears had a guy that could make those decisions because they are qualified to do so.

The reason the Bears need a true football guy connected to the rest of the league is because the McCaskeys are so clueless. George and Ted hired Phil Emery which set the franchise back a couple of years. They then hire Ernie to help them hire Pace. Pace performed better than Emery. Now They need to hire Bill Polian to help with the next search. This proves they need someone like Bill Polian only younger in the President of Football Operations role. George admitted to calling Plolian and Others assocaited with the NFL to evaluate the Bears. George cant even make the decision on whether to fire Pace and Nagy on his own. Most teams do not need this type of sturcture but most teams are owned by self made billionaires not some nice guy who is a dipshit that was given control of an NFL team by his mommy.

I like Bill Polian advising George better than Ernie Ecorsi. Lets hope they get it right this time. George distanced the Bears football from Ted a little bit more today but in the end it's the same Bears MO. Bill Polian being the new consultant. What does Soup do for the Bears? Is Tanishea going to really have a voice in the hire???

Im happy they moved on from Nagy and Pace. Ill be to the moon excited if Ted is moved. It starts at the top and if they really Collaborate like they said last year then you need a Football guy running the whole show.

If he plays well the next 3 weeks that will be huge for moving fwd..... CB/DB will still be a need but not as important. You can never have too many DB's that can cover.

I wanted the Bears to trade up to 4 (clearly not doable with the draft picks we had) to get Fields. I am a huge college guy and follow high school recruiting, I followed Lawernce and Fields in highschool. Im also an Ohio State fan so I really followed Field weekly while there. I think if you had the first pick you had to take Trevor Lawrence, behind him i had Fields number 2 but you could really put them 1A and 1B. When Fields wasn't taken with the first 3 picks i was freaking out. Each pick that didnt take Fields i got more excited. I couldn't believe he fell to 11. We are very lucky to have gotten him and at 11 to boot. I think he could be a very special player in the NFL. I pray the Bears do whatever it takes to develop him.

Mahomes put up some crazy stats and crazy out of this world plays....all while having superior talent around him. He had a good Oline as well. That's what happens when a player of his talent is put with great experienced coaching and great talent around him. No one can question Mahomes talent.... he is top tier. It was always unrealistic to expect the type of run he was on to continue every year. The talent around him will start to decline with age and Salary Cap restraints with paying him 40 mil a year. Brady and Peyton didnt break record every year, only the years they had a good group around them. Mahomes and the Chiefs will get this figured out and cut down on the turnovers.
