  1. Im going to have to go with Mongo on this one. Offense talent, Cutler Alshon, Bennet, Forte, Long and i guess you can throw Royal in there too. All have missed games expect Long . The Online is a mess, Bushrod was out and now looks like he is benched, Long gets moved to RT right before the season starts because Mills couldnt get it done. We lose our starting Center and have a rookie 3round pick starting. When your starting WR group is Wilson, Meredith, Bellemny and Marranni you are lacking talent. Even tho White is not a proven talent yet, it still hurts to not have him out there, from a pure physical talent level. Lets not forget that this group is learning a new system too, with all the injuries and shuffling around the Oline I dont know how much you can expect. I would expect to see improvement each week as the group gels and learns the ins and outs of Gase's system. I was exactly like you, I wouldnt buy a Bears hoodie or hat out of pure anger from last year. I have slowly bought some things over the season as they have really impressed me! lol
  2. Funny, McCarthy's dumb ass doesn't mention the horrendous calls that went their way? The only GB TD came off that phantom illegal contact call on Porter which took the INT away. Without that crap call the GB doesn't score a TD.
  3. I agree with you, Fox has been around long enough to have ties to alot of good coaches. The only reason I worry about losing Gase is because of the effect he has had on Cutler. Cutler finally seems to be putting it all together and would rather get one more year with Cutler and Gase. Hey maybe its more the QB coach and not so much Gase, although I think Gase has game planned well for Cutler and the entire offense.
  4. Paying them well may help but at the end of the day if the guy wants to be "the man" as in HC money will not stop them from leaving. One thing it might do is allow the guys to be selective on which job they take. If they are making enough money as it is there is less a reason to take a job like the Browns when if they wait a better job will come along. Im hoping we get two years out of Gase and 3 or 4 out of Fangio, that would be the best we could prolly hope for.
  5. What are you thinking each guy will get? Dont forget Long too.
  6. I def agree that Pace did a great job in drafting and even FA signings. The McPhee signing has turned out to be a great and cost effective FA pickup. Even the Bryce Callahan pickup is looking a like good UDFA signing. Ive said it before and Ill keep saying it, if White turns out to be a stud this could be one of the best draft classes the Bears have ever seen. The big thing is if you dont have a good coaching staff to develop these guys it goes to waste. Right now we have a great combo of GM and Coaching staff. If Pace can keep up what he did in the first year this thing could get real good real quick. With the amount of cap space the Bears will have Im really excited to see what FA they go after.
  7. Last night shows just how important a good coaching staff really is. The Bears last year lost to GB 38-17 and 55-14. This year the Bears lost 31-23 and won 17-13. You cant say the Bears are more talented this year, they still have glaring needs on the Defensive side of the ball, the Oline is not preforming well. What has changed, there are some new faces, rookies playing well, Cutler has played really well but the biggest change is the Coaching. Cutlers play can be credited to great coaching as well, not that Cutler didnt clearly change some things to turn it around the way he has. The Bears are 2nd in the NFL with rushing attempts this year, last year they were 3rd from last. This is something many had screamed at Trestman to do last year, RUN THE BALL. Why he talked about it each week and then never did it still blows my mind away. Gase has done an amazing job with this offense, especially when you factor in talent and injuries. Fangio I think has done an even better job solely based on the talent he has and it being the first year the Bears have ran a 3/4. Fox is an actual HC, you need a strong leader in charge of everything. I think that is one of the things Trestman had no clue about (Bruce Arians clearly is the leader type in AZ). Pace has done his job well this first year. Now the big question is "is the coaching staff making the Pace picks and signees look good or is it the other way around? " Lets hope this big Win in GB gets the Bears on a hot streak and put a 5 game winning streak together. Win them all and let the cards fall how they may!
  8. Langford definitly has more of a burst than Forte, Forte has always been more of a glider tho. Langford does make it easier to not re-sign Forte. Who knows maybe they bring Forte back as well. Langford does need to work on the drops, that 3rd down drop was terrible. He was wide open and could have easily picked up the first.
  9. Good stuff...... This win really has made my year. I really am excited about the future of the Bears. Not to go negative but the better the offense and defense does the more likely Gase and Fangio get HC offers. I see Gase getting a shot sooner than Fangio but that is 100% opinion. Maybe we will get lucky and have both for one more year.
  10. What a game. Team effort. Defense really played well. The refs were terrible, one of the worst Ive seen in awhile. Read that the locker room was amped up after the game, good to see the guys having some fun, much different from last year. Winning cures all.
  11. Any day you beat Aaron Rogders in the win column and QB ratings is a great freakin day.
  12. Play calling was bullshit..... They have nothing to lose. Running on 3rd and long is bullshit.
  13. Cutler drive the ball down their throat and put this bitch in for a TD. Please baby Jesus
  14. It really was cool. Farve was great to watch. Played the game like it is suppose to be played.
  15. Tripping call was complete bullshit. Bears can't beat the refs and Pack
  16. Two redzone TD's in one half...... Slap me I'm dreaming
  17. What happened ? I stepped outside for a sec
  18. Red zone TD..... I forgot what those looked like!!!!
  19. 3rd and 4 throw was terrible. Cutler needs to get on a roll.
  20. Damn right Cutler is due, so are the Bears and Bear fans!!! Cutler tends to push to hard when the pressure is on, hope he just says freak it and goes out there and lights them up. I agree I wish Bennett was out there, hope Miller picks up the slack. Getting Forte and Alshon back should be huge. Where in the world is Bushrod????
  21. What is going on with Royal? Having Alshon back helps out greatly, one of the other guys can fill in for Royal. Alshon can not be replaced. As long as Forte and Langford are good we are more then fine at RB. Although I have liked what I have seen from Carey this year. Before this year i thought Carey was all but gone. Would have liked Bennett out there but hopefully Miller continues with his solid play. Hopefully we wont see a huge drop off from Bennett to Miller. Really hoping Gase has an awesome game plan today. Cutler can build some more good will with a good to great performance today. Here's to a good performance by the team and coaches, please baby jesus bring a Bears victory on this great Thanksgiving day!!!!! My Uncle who grew up in GB during the Lombardi days will be at my house today, a Bears victory will really make the day as my trash talking will be of epic proportions!!!!
  22. A.L just tweeted " barring any set back White will suit up this year" from his sources
