Kevin white may be close, closer then we thought
Chitownhustla replied to Chitownhustla's topic in Bearstalk
Aaron Leming @AaronLemingNFL · 48m48 minutes ago Kevin White's rehab progress has been downplayed since day 1. From what I've been told over the past few weeks, he's "close". #Bears I wouldn't expect Kevin White to play Sunday vs the #Redskins but from what I've been told, he could be good to play vs #Vikings. #Bears -
Aaron Lemning tweeted about it. It's all about getting in football shape at this point.

agreed. but I think most are saying it due to his 4.1 mil cap hit next year not solely based on performance. I have faith in Robbie and think he will respond with usual Robbie play.

Anyone still believe in "Meaningless Wins"?
Chitownhustla replied to CrackerDog's topic in Bearstalk
I bitched about playing the starters leading up to that game and then boom Urlacher hurts his freaking knee and was never the same. Urlachers knee injury late in that meaningless games against the Vikes ended his career early. Had he not hurt his knee he prolly wouldn't have lost his step so quickly. -
I would really love it if Robert dropped to us, we should be drafting too high and getting a talent like him would be great. He has a ton of talent, he will need to be groomed a little bit so maybe he does drop to us.

Damn Mad, you really know your shit!!! After reading more and more on Scotch everything Mad has said is spot on. Who needs google when you got guys like Mad here at Talkbears! lol Thanks again for the info

Went to the game yesterday, will be watching the replay tonight. I still cant believe the Bears lost yesterday. The way they lost is what really blows my mind away. Blaine Gabbert looked liked Colin Kapernick on that 40 yard TD run The Bears SP Teams comes up big with that return, finally the SP does something great and the Sp teams goes and shits the bed. Very unlike Robbie. In overtime, Gabbert and Smith connect on a 60 yard TD bomb.........WTF Talk about tales of tow different teams, one Bears team shows up on primetime thanksgiving thurday night game ans beats the Packers in GB on short rest. The next Bears team shows up at home with extra time to heal and losses to the 49ers.

Possible sign White will play this year????
Chitownhustla replied to Chitownhustla's topic in Bearstalk
Makes sense, he is going full speed his muscles are not use to it. Once you start making cuts at full speed he is going to tighten up.... A couple of weeks of full Speed practice and he will be ok. I bet you guys are right, he prolly will play after the Was game. -
Cheers to that!!!!!!!

Thanks for info, so that I know am getting this right. The area in which the scotch is made affects the taste? My liquor store owner did say that the Lavgulin was smoky and peaty, which is not his favorite. So like wines each scotch will taste different and scotchs from the same area tend to have similar tastes. I will be picking up the Lavgulin to try, anything compared to the 85 Bears has to be good! Thanks again for the info!!!

I couldn't find the thread we were talking about scotch so I figured this would be the easiest way to ask. I tried Macallan 18 yesterday at a xmas party, this is the first expensive scotch I have tried. Well.....guess what.....I fell in love. lol. If anyone of you guys have tried the Macallan 18, what is another brand that tastes similar buts doesn't cost so much? Is the Lagavulin similar to the Macallan 18??? Researching scotch online I found that I have just picked up another expensive hobby! haha My wine hobby has gotten pretty bad, looks like the wine will be put on hold.

Me too, Im glad to see him get through the last 3 games. The offense should have a pretty good handle on what works for them and what doesn't by now. Hope they can play even better now during the last quarter of the season.

Possible sign White will play this year????
Chitownhustla replied to Chitownhustla's topic in Bearstalk
Saw a tweet that said he was running routes and looked real fast but was seen shaking his leg out. Wondering why he is shaking his leg out, is he still feeling pain or is it his leg is tightening up because he is finally pushing it harder?? after some searching it was Adam Hoge that tweeted out : Kevin white ran routes and caught passes in practice today for the first time today. Looked pretty damn fast. Was shaking his leg though. Love hearing that he looked pretty damn fast!!! -
I agree, the Bears need to add some talent to the oline. The offense as a whole will play better is you improve the oline. We all have seen that when Cutler has time he pick apart a Defense, even when Bad Jay shows up. This year he has been able to scramble around and make plays, its not something you want to make a living doing. Even Tom Brady makes mistakes when pressured. With the talent the Bears have on the oline I don't care where the Bears rank as an offense, as long as they continue to win games.

Gase and the Bears have gotten conservative at times this year but I wouldn't say they have been too conservative. I think in situations Gase has pulled back a little bit too not have Cutler push too hard. Cutler on his own has thrown the ball away more often and taken a sack instead of throwing a pass when no one was open. Cutler has talked about the diffrernce from last year compared to this year with Gase, he has said Gase has put the offense in good situations with his play calling on 1st and 2nd down which has limited the 3rd and longs. But take a look at these stats, seems to me that they have not been too conservative Year GM Att/ average average yards INT % 20 + 40 + 2015 10 33.4 7.5 1.8 37 8 2014 15 37.4 6.8 3.2 39 8 2013 11 32.3 7.4 3.4 32 8 2012 15 28.9 7.0 3.2 38 5 Cutler already has 37 pass plays over 20 yards and 8 over 40 yards. He is only passing 4 less times a game this year compared to last year. His average yard per pass is at its highest since 2010. The Bears are running the ball a whole more this year, helping set the pass up. The are also converting on 3rd down at 41% which ranks 13th compared to 38% which ranked 24th last year. With Plays over 20 and 40 already being pretty high are they really being conservative.

Cutler has avoided more sacks this year by pocket management and running for his life. If you haven't noticed it you are not watching the games. He has made more plays with less weapons. I'm sorry but he deserves praise for his play.

I agree, the KC win looks even better now that more of the season has played out. Some had downplayed the KC win.
-
Agreed! Winning builds confidence. Hoping the big win in GB does just that. Maybe the Bears will come out with a little swagger.

Com Att % Yards Y/per TD INT Rating Yards Per 211 334 63.2 2,510 7.52 14 6 92.5 251 If he continues at this rate % = 63.2 Yards = 3,765 TD's = 20 INT = 9 Rating= 92.5 I think that would be a great year for Cutler. 5 games left 3 home games against some of the lower ranked teams ie SF, Was, Det, Tam and MN are away. Hope Cutler at least keeps up the same level play but would love to see him hit a hot streak to finish off the season strong. Most of his rankings are around the 15 range, not top 10 stats. I think for being in a new system 15 is pretty good. He has his lowest INT % of his career, which is a good starting point to build upon. Hope this post does not jinx Cutler!!!!! Alaska, I would like to hear your thoughts on Cutler after 11 games.
-
GB #9 = close game AZ #3 = blown out after Cutler went out SEA #7 = played well until 2nd half, no Cutler = really bad offense OAK #17 = big win KC #8 = big win DET #21 = Should have won this one MN#6 = should have won SD #28 = Win ST #23 = big win DEN #4 = another game the Bears should have won GB #9 = Biggest win of the Year!!! The Bears have really played a lot of good teams and been in every game but the AZ game after Cutler went down. When you look at the season as a whole you have to be impressed with what the Bears have done.

Lol..... Ain't that the truth. And out first top ten draft pick (in a long time)misses his rookie year! I trust Pace will draft well no matter where we draft. Just look at picks 2-5

Hey, count me on the Robert SCooby draft!!!!

Anyone watch the SF vs AZ game this past weekend
Chitownhustla replied to Chitownhustla's topic in Bearstalk
Fantasy Football craziness has me all out of whack. SOOOOOOOO i guess AZ won, my bad. lol Well they still kept it close against a good AZ team. -
I saw that the 49ers won. They were at home and from a recap on either NFL network or espn one of the guys said that SF has played a lot better at home. So we have them at home which should help but this game may a little tougher then I had first thought. Just hoping to get some thoughts on how well SF is playing right now.

The Tripping call was complete Bullshit. There is no reason for the him complain when they got so many calls. I already hated him, now you can add this to the long list of things I hate about him.
