Big difference between GB and Bears Bears have more needs than the GB Packers did Bears will probably be drafting in the TOP 10, not 24th Farve was 36 when they Drafted Rodgers, Cutler is only 32- if the Bears think they can get to where they want to go with Cutler they still have some time before drafting a QB in the first. I would say that if Pace and Co think "THE" QB is sitting there when they draft I would say go for him.

I agree, with a well run organization Cutler can be a winning QB. What I mean by well run organization, GM supplying a talented group (Offense and Defense), a well balanced team. An offense that is built well, strong Oline, decent weapons to run and throw to. Good Coaching staff, that can actually develop the talent they have. Lovie could develop talent on the Defense, just lacked on the Offense side of the ball. Right now Fox, Gase and Fangio can develop talent on both sides of the ball but there is lack of talent on the D. Pace needs to fix that. I think the O has plenty of talent, could prolly be a little stronger on the Oline but that is about it. Cutler needs to continue his growth in this system and not revert back to BAD JAY, if he does that i can see the Bears rolling with Jay next year.

I missed that he was the GM. I agree the Bears traded for him and thought he would be able to do it all by himself. I'm sorry but no QB would have performed well with the Oline and WR's Jay had the first three years. Once the Bears added some real weapons and improved the oline the coaching staff under Trestman was really terrible. At the same time I am not saying Jay does not deserve some of the blame. He has made alot of mistakes and has not lived up to potential. I think this year he is in situation where he can succeed, maybe not in the win and loss column but on an individual level. If he continues to play the way he has played the first 6 weeks of the season I will be very happy. I think the Bears roll with him for another year and draft a back up in the later rounds to bring along slowly.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2580349...ened-from-there From the article it sounds like Josh McDaniels is a super douche. This article is from a former scouting guy with Denver. You don't normally get this much first hand details in the sporting world.

Bears sign Ziggy Hood and cut Ratliifle on bleacher report
Chitownhustla replied to 50england50's topic in Bearstalk
If he flipped out because he was getting cut then I kind of understand getting upset. If he flipped out over something and then got cut, figure it out dude. Pace is your boss, have a little respect. -
I am a big fan of Pace's so far. There has been only one move that I did not like when it first happened and that was trading BM, after reading about how big of a locker room problem he was I totally understand why the move was made. Seeing him put up 4 100 yard games in a row stings a little bit. Not that Im surprised, I thought BM had another 2 or 3 years of good production left. The sting would have been canceled out had White came out and played well as a rookie. His 1st draft is looking good and his first big FA signing is looking like a GENIUS pick up, McPhee has been huge on the both the leadership stand point and production. With the amount of cap space the Bears will have next off season I am really excited to see what Pace and co does.

It wont be hard to draft better than Emery. Really hope Fuller pans out, that would be a huge bump for Emery's track record.

Agreed on both points, Pnut always played well against Megatron. Has anyone kept up on Pnut, how has he looked this year?

I thought I read that all of his guaranteed money was done after this year. Not sure about salary cap ramifications if cut. Yeah, did see the responses below. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/jermon-bushrod/

Not bad for Paces first draft, a 4th and 5th round already performing. Just think about this first draft: 1. white - if he is a game changer this draft could be one of the best we have had in a long time 2. Goldman - already starting and I like what I have seen from him so far 3. Grazu- thrown into the starting mix a little early, has looked good at times and has looked like a rookie at times 4. Langford- potential replacement for Forte long term 5. Amos- already starting and performing well. Cant wait to see White play, hope he lives up to the billing.

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2014/passing.htm Cutler was ranked 27th last year with a 3.2 last year. Hope this continues for the whole year, if not get better. I will say that so far Cutler has shown a big improvement. I said it last year and Ill say it now, you can win with Cutler, just cant expect him to do it alone. Im pretty confident that they have the weapons, and coaching to win with Cutler. Oline could be better but its not the worst we have seen.

My view on the INT in the End zone, it could have been thrown better, a little more outside. I read that Alshon lost the ball in the lights one of the reason he did not make a good play on the ball. Its a jump ball, I like the play call. IF Alshon cant catch it one of his jobs is to make it very difficult for the DB to catch it. Losing it in the lights prevented him from batting it down or making a play on it. Cutler played a great game and this INT was not the type of "WTF was Cutler thinking or doing". These types of INT happen to all QB. He could have thrown it a little more outside but either way I was very impressed with Cutler yesterday.

Fake punt....... Sp Team coach should be replaced.
-
Way too conservative play calling.
-
Fox said it should be an INT. So freakin stupid!

Penalties are killing us
-
Fuller looked like shit on that TD
-
Maybe Shae was more important than you thought???
-
Let's go D!!!!! Nice drive by the Lions O. Let's match Bears!
-
Eddie Royal is a go today!!! Excited to see an offense with Forte, Alshon, Bennett and Royal........With Wilson playing well too this could be a lot of fun to watch. Hope to see some improvement of the SP Teams as well.
-
Well we finally get Alshon back!!! Bennett is playing even tho he is banged up. Anyone know if Royal is plyaing?? LET GO BEARS!!!!!
-
So the Shae injury wasn't terrible. Good to hear.
-
Just saw the Marty B tweet....... Hopefully we get everyone healthy at some point of the season.

For those bashing Shea...Fangio isn't one of them
Chitownhustla replied to DABEARSDABOMB's topic in Bearstalk
Being a member of the Fangio Fan Club I agree with whatever he says.....hahahaha........All kidding aside, you are right, Fangio doesn't blow smoke, if he backs Shea it means he is grading out well.
