Also if a player graded out well would they ask him to take a pay cut? So to recap, moved from starting LT to RT, some would say a small demotion. Then asked to take a pay cut, that pretty much was a slap to the face saying get your shit together. Then moved to 2nd string behind a rookie, another demotion. Now finally he is cut. The progression is pretty clear, you just dont want to admit it. I understand were you are coming from on those stats. My thing is if you watch each pass play I would be willing to bet Cutler avoided many sacks created by Webb which kept his sack total lower then years past. Add the sacks Cutler saved his ass on and minus any Cutler created by holding on to the ball and I would be willing to bet Webb performed the same each year. My statement of Webb is really that he sucked, give or take a few sacks each year he never really progressed to a better level. Not any noticeable next level. I hoped Webb would figure it out, it only helps the Bears in FA and Drafting not needing to fill his spot. Bringing up Carmi, this is one pick I totally was happy with when it was made and cant believe how wrong I was. What's everyone doing for opening day? Looking for gameday rituals/ drink of choice for Bears games/ food you make for game time. Ill start: Starting Friday ill prepare about 9 slabs of Baby Back with a rub past down from my old man. Saturday ill smoke them for about 6 to 7 hours. Saturday night I pack everything and prepare everything else. Coolers will have about 8 to 10 cases of beer, Coors light and miller lite, bottle of Jameson and vodka. Sunday morning meet at my house with my best friend and two bros. get to stadium at 8. Set up shop and the rest if the crew starts to show up around 815. Opening day will Entail too much food and too much booze. Head in around 11:15 to 11:30. Then it's game time! Need some good idea's for tailgating food. Things I can prepare sat night and either open and serve or throw on the grill at the stadium to heat.

I know its pre-season but it looks like the D will not see a big drop off from the Lovie lead D last year. They have created a lot of turnover this pre-season, I think the announcer said 9 this pre-season. Once Lovie was fired The biggest thing I was worried about was seeing a drop off on D. The D has been our bread and butter for so long I didn't want to see it go away because we have a O minded coach now. If Trestman and company fix the O and D performs close to what they did last year and most years in the past this team could surprise a lot of people! Im really excited for the year. More so then in years past.

I almost wrote another post while watching Webb jump off side yet again. 4th year still making the same mistakes. His progression has gotten him from starting tackle to fighting for a roster spot. Not the type of progression I'm looking for!
