The more and more I look at this, Im really confused. Why structure Cutlers deal in this manner???? Why no signing bonus? There has to be some reason for it, maybe its long term and not short term. Im all for signing Cutler, I think it had to be done I did watch NFL live on espn, pretty much all the guys said they agreed with the Bears keeping him.

Look at the Giants D....the Line makes that D look great....Well not this year...lol I agree, get the Line in order and the rest should look better.

So he gets the 54 guaranteed and the Bears are not hammered on the cap for the first three years. If he tears it up they will be re-doing it after 3 years anyways.

He played outside linebacker in college in a 3-4. He may have some physical tools similar to 54 but that does not mean will be good at middle linebacker. I played OLB in a 3-4 and tried to move to MLB due to injuries. They are two totally different positions. I dont see them putting him at MLB. Not saying it cant be done but I would think they would put him at a OLB spot.

Ive had heard about the work ethic issues, mainly due to his weight. I have never heard anything about him having an attitude problem. Ive read a lot about him and would be surprised if that was true.

Common sense would say he needs to restructure. Will he?? I sure hope so, would like to have him here at a discounted rated that matches his production better.

You cant cut block in highschool, college and pros. I was taught the correct way to play against the cut block in college. If you watch the play over Peppers came free and looked like he would have a sack until he left his feet.

Year two in Trestmans system should produce some great things, lets hope its a Top 5 offense and they can get the D to somewhere around 15.... Would win a lot of games if that happened. Not sure where you played football but when cut blocked you are taught to throw push him into the ground and move outside to keep contain. He chose to dive over the cut block. Rodgers side stepped to the open throwing lane and let it rip. Had Peppers played it right Rodgers Would have walked right into him. Also taught to never leave your feet!

I hope so. Im on the sign Cutler side. He didnt tear it up this year so hopefully Cutlers expectations for a contract are not too high. I really like the numbers he improved on with Trestman. I would be really excited to see Cutler in this offense for a 2nd year in a row. The Offense is only going to get better with the pieces they have in place. The offense would take a step back if they dont sign Cutler.

I was at both, Ive never seen that stadium so loud at one second and the next sec complete silence. Im leaning towards 2010 but man was last night a kick in the balls. Last post about last year. Excited to see what happens moving forward.

I have ever seen. There were plenty of chances to get back into that game. We finally make it into the redzone, two piss poor sacks takes us out of field goal range. Then we get pinned back on the 1 yard liine down 24-3 in the third and they give up a safety. It started out hosed up and just kept getting worse. I hope this game was a wake up call. If they dont come out at home against the Packers with fire shooting out of their asses I'll probably lose it!!!
