Bears trade for Keenan Allen WR
He has fails, it didn't stop him from hitting a home run. Ryan Bates will contribute more than any 5 th round pick will. Remains to be seen if that's a bad move.

Bears trade for Keenan Allen WR
Risky I agree but this clearly shows he's going for it in 2024-25. That leans toward trading back with both first rounders and keeping Justin for at least one more year. He will still draft a WR but the player won't have any pressure getting use to the NFL in year one. Like you said, add one year, it falls into his window to win.

Bears trade for Keenan Allen WR
He will get more picks back, but uses the draft to acquire blue chip players via trades. Sweat- DJ Moore- K Allen.

You know I should but this is supposed to be a family site although all teenagers are gaming or playing Fortnight. Im in Thailand so that will take about 5 minutes to find you a live feed.

Bears trade for Keenan Allen WR
SOB, Poles hits another home run in the bottom of the 7 th. Allen will be 32 , be is still productive. 108-1243-7 Even if he slows down a bit you still have a high level player. This is his last year of his contract and we will have to pay 23 mil of it. I except them to add a few years and get it down to 18 mil.A year. Allen was never a speed guy at 4.71 forty so his game won't be as effected much by being a little slower.

Free Agency 2024
We never know how Poles views players , no one has ever mentioned names we signed so the experts have no access to Poles. We know he's talking to people. Last year we were complaining about no DE and Ngakoue popped up. We have to be patient.

I argue with pundits on X over the QB conversation and got 43 responses from a post. Never got that many before .32 likes and 11 nays. Justin is still well liked

Breaking news: Chicago just acquired a bridge QB so Caleb can sit and develop his first year. Justin Fields on a one year deal for 6 mil. That's a good deal.

Every person on this topic are Justin leaning , so I didn't think I would see you get on here. Of course that was a foolish idea.

Geno Smith was a lousy QB early in his career, he made the pro bowl in 2022. Things can change.

If we end up getting Williams and Pooka Ford, Clowney ,is everyone okay with that?

Only 2_wins in 25 years of SBs, how is that ridiculous? I understand you don't like facts that disrupt your opinions but I don't either. I liken us to a boxing match. You keep punching below the belt( not smart enough) but I'm just not getting pulled into your conflict any more. I only did that when you called me a child molester. I moved on.

Free Agency 2024
Poles is playing the patience game, after the first wave, he is in a better position to start attacking DE, DT and WR. As you showed, there are still players out there. What I find interesting is the insiders that say Fields is being traded and we are drafting Caleb has not hit on any of the players we signed. No information leaks out of Halas Hall.

Totally agree, he has failed on the OL in general. Wright is a big ceiling type player. B Jones arrow is pointing up but has to keep getting better. Jenkins is a plus player but injury concerns. Davis failed in his first year but that still could be a quality signing. Anyone having a mother die is not in the best place. He will draft a OC , if we do trade backs, Zach Frazier is in play. He seems to attack areas of need by numbers.3 new centers has a higher odds of being better. Last year he made a offer to McGlincy. It would have looked good on paper but he was terrible at 17.5 a year. Better to have cheap fail than expensive. The difference this year is he is improving the depth. That will be a key during the season. He will draft a center and a Jordon Morgan type that could play multi positions. The cheap FA signing suggests to me he is building thru the draft and will load up on draft picks. If he gets 5 top 60 players this year and next , that's 10 more higher level additions. That addresses every weakness.

In the last 25 years only 2 generational QB prospect has won a SB. Peyton Manning and John Elway. Odds 2/25.

They have improved the center position, we were terrible there last year. Even if neither are top 10, an average rating is better than average terrible. Plus added depth.

Odds of what team gets Fields
Lots of different scenarios, I think Poles surprises us.

Nobody knows how all this turns out but at least with Justin, I have something I can project an outcome with., I can see him getting better, he'll never be top 5 but he doesn't have to be. He can wow you with his hero ball. He drives DCs crazy That can win a SB . Williams is just a dream scape of a Mahomes 2.0, odds are slim he's that. Media keeps pushing Caleb but I think there's still a decent chance he goes Justin and draft capital. If he goes with a rookie I can ride that train when it gets here.

What I think is interesting if we didn't have a top 5 pick, none of this would be a conversation. It would be hoping MHJ falls to us.

OTC has DJ Wonnum valuation at 10 mil a year. They valued Hunter at 24.5 and he signed for 29.5. So probably 10-12 is where he settles . We have more money left than Panthers so doubt if it's any kind of bidding war. I would say Poles has a 9 mil value on him. Hope we get him. Reynolds name has been brought up many times. It would be the kind of signing Poles would do. Look at Brian Allen as a potential center he brings in.

We know Poles has targeted a DE and a WR but obviously they haven't accepted it yet. Poles isn't overpaying in FA. Last year he offered Mike MaGlinvchy 12.5 mil, he ended up getting17.5 and had a terrible year. Glad he lost that player. He always sets contracts to be able to get out of players after two years. If he misses at least its not big money and short term. Better for the team long term. Williams is now available and LA is paying him. 12.4 mil this year. We could offer him a one year 7 mil deal. Everett played with him and his WR coach is with us now. That's the type of deals Poles looks for. Poles will be getting a DE but will surprise us with the name.

Bears sign vet OL Matt Prior to 1yr deal (was with 49ers last year)
Agree, he has to earn his, place but up to this point has played better than many drafted ahead of him.
