You add great content to this group always do a good job Adam. One thing I didn't like was your description of Billings - old fat and slow, that describes me. ( Joking ) Definitely Byard, defensive leader and durable. Brisker if signed on a one year prove it deal.( Can stay healthy as AZ suggested) If you bring these two back, you can draft a couple rookies and won't have to count on them right away. For DBs JJ and Gordon will be healthy next year. Stevenson ( I think one more year on contract) , Blackwell and Terrell Smith will be back. So Wright is optional if they think will get better. Also Zak Fraiser comes back but who knows how good he is. At LB, Edwards was just given a new contract last year but Edmunds being traded or cut will leave a spot opened. I think D Jackson will be resigned to take over for Edmunds ( cheaper) . Amen and Hyppolite are still on the roster. Got nothing out of Hyppolite but players are developed so maybe next year a lot better. Not sure why anyone would think DA is a question, I think he did very well considering all the injuries, no continuity. You add a pass rush and that makes his job a lot easier. Gardener -Johnson doesn't handle speed very well but is a physical player. Anyone think he can play SS? . Maybe him instead of Brisker? Just thinking out loud. The only DL I think may come back is Joe Tryon-S. On limited snaps he made some plays and was in NO when DA was there. Booker, Sweat Dayo and Turner, so if in a cheap deal for depth. Everyone wants Crosby but I think Symmons from Tennessee would be a great addition if we have to pay a big contract. I think we draft 2 DTs and one edge.
-
If correct, ten coaching available minus the 2 filled. That's crazy almost 1)3 the league turnover.
-
Are all these players the players DA wants for his style defense? Most were here with only a few added. I can see him having more input in this draft since it will be mainly a defensive draft. Anyone more familiar with his style? I read he likes big DEs, speed at LB, and tall corners. Was Hypoplite and Frazier influenced by DA? A lot coaches may come and go but I think DA is here for the long haul. He's had two HC jobs and failed, probably not going anywhere.

I remember one play last year and one play that was questioned this year. Caleb came out and said he miscommunicated a route and took responsible for that. DJ plays hurt so when he doesn't always look good, that may be a reason. Every receiver in that game had drops. I think Rome has more questions going forward, I think his catch rate for 2 yrs is around 50%. DJ has made some big plays this year, blocks, runs the ball. They will value DJ whether you do or not. -
Maybe but Theo popped on the radar this year and no one seen that coming. Ozzy didn't even play LT at the end of training camp but then after the Theo injury , never gave it up. With these coaches, players develop. Kiran has had injuries so far, every year will have a new evaluation.
-
Isn't Nagy their OC? As much as I think he has did well with this group, that isn't a position that should be hard to fill.
-
Yes it was. Our two best players had Injuries and I don't think they were ever 100%. Under these coaches, we have seen some develop. I think the youger players will show growth. Jackson played well when he started, was D player of the week. I think Edmunds is gone so they may address that early but we do have some players to work with. They will evaluate every position but a lot of LBS have did well when changing teams, so they may add inexpensive free agents out there. I don't think it's high in the list.
-
I think with the change the continuity of the OL was disrupted and did affect the running game. I think Kiran may enter the LT competition if he can stay healthy. The key will be if Ozzy can get back to health quickly.
-
I think he's only 25-26, just entering his prime. Depends on concerns about future health that I think will affect re-signing him.
-
I think Poles does similar moves like he did last year to get extra picks in the top 100. Edwards, Amen, Sewell, resign D Jackson and Hyppolite so LB won't be a top priority. DT to me is the biggest need.
-
Lots of great information here Adam. First I think they restructure all the contracts they can to get Cap space. Cut players with little dead money. Edmunds is a no brainer. Swift is another possibility but at 26 with little mileage, I think they extend him and redo for friendly cap money for next year. I also think they redo Kmets contract for a friendly cap hit for 26. He is one of the team leaders. Most contracts are set up for 2027 cuts with little dead money. Trades, as much as I don't think they will, Kmet and DJ are likely trade candidates. Easy to say trade them but you have to find someone willing to take a big salary and usually that's not rebuilding teams. To me more likely to restructure their contracts unless you can get good value in a player or higher draft picks. They will first resign their own free agents. Olin kruetz was saying that a lot of free agents will want to come here because we are poised to do a SB run the next two years. I think applies to our own free agents. Byard is a team leader, a no brainer to me. D Jackson to replace Edmunds and will be back on a team friendly deal. Could be back, Duhshon Wright, Gardener-Johnson and Brisker if they take team friendly deals. As much as the defense has sucked this year, injuries had a lot to do with it. I think a healthy Gordon, JJ, Dayo, Shemar Turner will all make the defense better. The Rams game proved to me how good DA is , they held Pucau and Adams to 7 catches and under 100 yards for the game. 20 points to the best offense in the league. Have to keep in mind Terrell Smith will be back and he has played well when healthy. As much as DE is a need, I think a top DT will help more from trade or draft pick. If they resign the safeties, DT, DE will be our top draft needs then S. Also depending on the news with Ozzy, LT may be picked in the top 3 picks. If Poles and BJ think we need a Crosby, they will find a way to get him. I think Simmons from Tennessee would be a more valuable get.
-
With the way Brisker played after a healthy year played his best game as a pro in the most important game , I think they will strongly consider bringing both Ss back. It comes down to money.
-
You're spot on, the big key is LT options. I doubt they draft one in the first. Clearly Braxton gone, how long will Ozzy be gone and can Kiran compete with Theo until Ozzy is back? We have plenty of time to project.

Agree, we had the chance to win this game. A few drops, bad officiating, BJ had some bad decisions, Caleb played well but has some bad decisions. Great season. The good things, the defense came to play, we need to bring Brisker back, they will regroup and learn from their mistakes. Another good draft, resign some players, get help on the DL, come out dominating next year with Caleb another year better. For the first year of BJ, we are now super bowl contenders next year. Could have been in the NFC championship game. -

Wow, never saw that, that leads me to say, Caleb is a very durable QB over the last two years. Especially last year with given up all those sacks. -
I understand your sentiment but it hasn't affected the legacy of other NFL teams and several fall in that group. Living in Illinois our government has major issues on how they spend money. I think just wanting infrastructure upgrades for teams is just normal operating procedure. Chicago and the state don't deserve this team at this time. I'm going to be a bear's fan if they moved to Alaska. At 73 I don't go to live games anymore during cold weather and would expect Indiana to do a better job creating around a new stadium. Have been to Indiana for several concerts and Indy, always a good experience. You still have the lake Michigan effect in NWI. Can't be any worse going to NWI than going to a White Sox game.

Glad the health of your wife is all good news. I can't bet against the bears especially this year but to many national people are picking the bears. That always bothers me. A couple of national media that I like picking the bears, Brandt and Rollins. -

If our OL plays well, we win the game. That means we run the ball well and Caleb had time to go down field where a weak Rams DBs live. 33-27 -
Never seen that as before but when I had season tickets they used to have a shuttle from the bus station just south of WoodField.
-
Everything is off the table going into 2027 but for next year, if they keep this offense intact, we could be a scoring machine. Next year is Caleb's breakout year 4500 yards, 40 TD passes, 67% . Why would they mess with that? With a bad defense, we literally could go to the SB with our offense

This is well done, anyone know the artist? -
I think he is a consistent playmaker that they value in this offense. They will restructure DJ and Kmet plus a couple OL to get money to help the defense.

Agree with all of that
