Hard to wrap my head around this, the best team we played all year and we dominated a defense that has 5 or 6 pro bowlers on it. At the end of the third quarter they worked there way back to possibly take the lead and we smacked them back to reality. Pounded the ball and kept Eagles out of the end zone. Caleb not having a good day at the end of the game popped some plays to keep us in the lead. The best is yet to come.

Also the defense is slowly getting bodies back and they played well today. This could be a fairly tale year but I better wait until we beat the Packers. I may be a couple of games away from declaring a SB run. In two weeks both Edwards and Edmunds should be back . Next week Sewell should be back. The best is yet to come.

I love this kind of stuff. I havent been online because I had fan friends over to watch the game. To me, they were in control for the whole game. I expected a last drive deciding the game but they fooled me. The defense was better with Gordon and JJ pulling some snaps. Poles should get a game ball for drafting Monangai, the most important player today. Edwards should be back next week. We played the team with the least amount of TOs in the league and we got two. Going into the season the fanbase was worried about LT , it appears to be okay. Worried about our RB room, we appear to have 2 ballers. People complained about drafting Loveland and Burder, they will be studs next year. I thought we would have a winning record this year based on pure homey faith, but this is actually looking like we might be good too.

When I give an opinion I try to look at it from Poles point of view. The Cap situation will come into play with his moves going forward. If I just went with my desire , I would just say hell yes go get Crosby. The Rams got back into contention by drafting Puka two yrs ago at pick #177 and drafting Verse last year at pick 19. Also added in their last 3 drafts are Kobie Turner, Brandon Friske, They have 8 starters that has been added from their last 3 drafts which is the timeline as they started winning again. The bulk of their improvement has been thur the draft. Garrett would be good but I dont see Cleveland trading him because of a 41 mil dead money hit next year in a trade scenario according to OTC besides what we would have to give up for him. If we end up being in the low 20s area of a draft pick the money for the first year will be 4 to 6 mil his first yr if we go by what the 2025 picks taken in those spots cost. I dont think that cost would save us much money is a draft trade situation.

Everything will matter for us to sneak out a win. Devonte Smith had ankle and rib issues, a few big hits on him could slow him down quite a bit. Gordon and JJ were always good against the run, so I think having them back helps us with the run game also. My biggest prediction is even if we lose, it will be a competitive game down to the wire. We are use to that. The Eagles have been fading late in games, SB hangover and wear and tear, I think so.

If we lose this week and beat GB next week , we will be back in the lead with maybe tying Lions if they win next week. The most important games on our schedule are the Lions and both GB games. Lets say we lose the other 3 opponents and win the division games 10-7. Lions has to face Cowboys , Rams and us again, so we have control over the division.

Anytime we project what might happen, that is always just our opinion. Im not sure why some people make like my opinion is different from everyone else. We are pass the trade deadline so obviously that wont happen this year. When teams trade for players it is usually for draft picks. To fit a big contract in our cap space we will have to get rid of more than one asset. Crosby's cap hit would be 27.5 mil in a trade next year. To add him we would have to trade (likely candidates ) DJ Moore which would cost of 38 mil in dead money this year, Edmunds or Kmet are reasonable choices but would have to be both (6 mil) in dead cap that wouldnt get us close to the cost of Crosby. Sometime the numbers just dont work out. None of the free agents available next year have over 4 sacks at this point in time and they will be seeking big money. Henrickson is the biggest FA edge and he will want over 30 mil, everyone else is old and may be an option but you will have to pay at least 10 mil plus . Mack-Bosa-Floyd . This is possible but still have to try to fit in effective cap of -12.5 mil. We are going to have to redo contracts to just fit the rookie money and resign some players (CJ G-Johnson , Dushon Wright) in our cap. As much as I agree we will need more pass rush help, we are destined to have to draft one and hope players like Dayo , Booker, and Shemar Trurner can provide that help. Like Mongo said maybe trading a Kmet or Edmunds and our pick to move up 10 spots to grab one is our only option. Teams that are rebuilding usually want draft picks.

Lane Johnson is out and two OL are going to play with nagging injuries, Jurgens and Dickerson. I would say if we play physical we could see a disruption in their OLs health. None of this will be easy but I have this strange feeling, we are going to win this game. It just could be indigestion from eating to much today but Im going with a win instead.

Their advantage will be its a home game and will be desperate for a win because they lost to the Cowboys. I expect a close game and in the end lose, but we have been there so many times this year and won. Im open for being wrong (again). I seen this shirt on Facebook and love it but never buy anything off of Facebook (to much risk). Anyone seen this shirt in a legitimate place?

You bring up a good point. Our coaches should be able to scheme us into a better place to be successful against Philly. Their offense has has issues all year long and their defense is talented but have given up over 20 points 7 times this year. We have 23 sacks and Eagles only have 22. They are winning games but arent doing it pretty. I look at this game and say we should get our butt kicked then I think, we are 8-3 and first in our division. No one predicted that at this point in time even with us having a fairly easy schedule. We are finding ways to win even thou we are not very consistent. Yet we are 6th in offense and Eagles are 24th. We have scored 289 points and left many points on the field. Eagles have scored 255 points. There is many reasons that says we can compete in this game.

I see prospects stepping up Theo, Ozzy to the point we no longer need to draft a LT in the 2026 draft. Both are getting better, it is irrelevant that they are not first round picks. High picks have a better track record of succeeding but many examples of lower round prospects getting the job done. The starting LT for the Eagles was a 7th round pick. As the season progresses we see players getting better so Kudos to Poles on getting this years draft right. Luke Newman will be the next OG or OC to come from this draft once one of our IOL 3 free agents are done playing. To be honest, I thought Jackson was going to be a bad signing but he is cooking now. I think sometimes we just need to be patient and see what the plan was work out before we complain about the results. Every year we should draft prospects for the OL but now we can use the high picks to go at other weak position groups going forward. It took Poles 4 yrs to get it right but (IMO) its starting to work. -
Caleb has some great traits to build on but just needs some time to get the accuracy down. In his college career it was an average of 66.4% . I think BJ can turn him into a star but its going to take more than 11 games to get that done.

I have a friend that spent 10,000 on Justin Fields collectable stuff based on he will one day be a top 5 QB. Boy did he guess wrong. It was after the year when he run for 1143 yards. Cant imagine what all that is worth now. He did have some nice stuff, my investment was a JF1 shirt.

I think I like DJ G-Johnson a little more after sticking up for Caleb. -

We dont have a good defense with all the injuries but we still are capable of big plays. You can see adjusting being done during the game and it led us to a win. Its kind of hard to say now we havent played any good teams. Pitt is not a juggernaut but is a winning team and leader in their division. This was a physical game and we held up. Backups weren't terrible which isnt normal for us. Clear to see we have a great coaching staff and finally have depth on this team. Culture has changed and we now believe we can beat anyone. That makes us a dangerous team going forward. -
It is easy to look at Philly and say we are going to get our butts kicked but that vaulted Eagles defense gave up almost 500 yards of offense and only had one sack. Both Ss and one CB got hurt in the game and on a short week are in doubt for the game. A big key will be if any of our D will be back for this game. JJ and Gordon have a good chance of coming back. We still lead the league in TOs and they will come into play. Barkley isnt the same guy he was last year. He had 345 carries last year and the bounce year always suffers because of that. We have more sacks than Eagles do. They have given up over 20 points 8 times this season. Hurts will be a problem because of the pass/run flexibility but the scary defense isnt so scary anymore. We have a chance and if Caleb shows some magic, maybe we win.

I think it would be wise to sign Wright and DJ G-Johnson to contracts. Also Sweat has 7.5 sacks today and should easily go over 10. Imagine if we had one other strong pass rusher to help him out.
