  1. Other than Williams, I think they all need a year to grow before they should start. I would love to get a haul and draft a QB but I truly think Williams is special. Up in the air on the intangibles but if Poles is good with him , I'm all in. Poles could completely surprise us, no one has guessed what he's been doing in his last two drafts but some times the simplest answer is the answer.
  2. He would be top 10 if not for the 3 WRs listed ahead of him on the rankings. Also Adonis Mitchell is getting high praise. Josh Lucas said he will end up being the second best WR in this draft.
  3. I for sure think he has questions with people he added at OC and whether Braxton takes another step but he added Allen and will draft a WR. You can't have first round picks at every position when you are only in year 3 of a rebuild. With Nate Davis playing bad last year was fully related to his mom dying who was living with him. He had to move cities and then mom died, he wasn't ready to play. I fully expect him to have an above average season. I think Bates is the sleeper acquisition that Poles has given us at OC that still has questions but he trusts him to do well. We will see. I expect him to add a drafted player at that position. ( not sure how he will do that). Wright and Braxton takes steps forward that becomes our strengths of the line. Jenkins needs to stay healthy but he has more depth added. I think one of our 4 picks will be a young OT. They seem very interested in Kiran Amedgadjie from Yale and I see Poles targeting him in the third round.
  4. As much as I think they're 3 good DEs, im not sure I consider them guaranteed to be among the elites. For me the distinction is Anderson-Parsons to Josh Allen- Brian Burns, it took several years to become elite.
  5. Now who is the blue chip players in the draft? Obviously that is subjective but, here is my list. ( not in any order) not with potential but almost guaranteed. Caleb Williams/QB Bowers/TE MHJ/WR Nabers/WR Odunze/WR Alt /OT Fashanu/OT T Arnold/CB Fuaga/OL JPJ/OC That's my list.
  6. That's a good start. And ascending is realistic.
  7. Top 10 picks every year should be ( classified) at top blue chip players. In 2019, 2020, and 2021 only 12_ players lived up to those expectations. Now some turned out to be good players but not the status of a top 10 pick and some were complete busts. If we can get 2 of those blue chip players, I will be very happy. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/draft.htm
  8. There's risk to everything you do . I guess it's about the highest ceiling for the lowest risky pick. If you look at 30 visits list: 1/3 is clearly about the nine pick. 1/3 of visits are for third and fourth round type picks. They're 1/3 that clearly only can be gotten with the second round pick. Does that tell us anything?
  9. He drafted a OT at 10 last year plus added D J Moore plus Tyler Scott in the draft. Signed Nate Davis at OG. What does the third year in a row thing mean?
  10. I agree with everyone on here but I'm at the point now where I'm in rehab over what is about to take place. Before we were fighting over Justin vs everyone, I had something to focus on , now it's just reality of Caleb and (WR) or (DE). Would you? Trade pick 75 and 2025 2 nd round pick next year to pick 5 and grab MHJ.
  11. As you list Edmunds, Edwards plays like a blue chip player. Every year he is top 10 in the league in Tackles. This year he was 7 th just 3 behind all pro Roquan Smith.
  12. I think they are all expected to be blue chip but some aren't there yet. This year will answer many questions. If Byard plays close to his all pro years, he definitely belongs on that list. Maybe he thinks Billings is above a red ? If Braxton keeps improving, maybe? With some short term contracts, every year could have a different number. Now there's established core players and some that will grow into that spot.
  13. I totally understand people listing a blue chip LT as a possible draft option and not saying it's a bad idea but I think Braxton has progressed enough to not make that an option. Braxton has finished 14 th and 19 th his first two years as a LT. His ceiling may only be top 12 LTs but that is great for a 5 th round pick. I think it is Poles flagship pick as a first year GM to show he knows what he's doing. I also think he will add to the OL room with pick 75 or 122. We have had several looks at Yale tackle Kiran Amedgadjie. That is the kind of pick he loves to draft. High upside athletic prospect. Most rankings have him going in the 80s 90s range. So it's possible to get at 75. I think a WR or Edge player has a bigger impact in year one than a rookie OT.
  14. I think all of these top 10 picks are a little off. Edge players are going to get more than one in the first 10 picks. History tells us its OTs and edge that usually get picked high. Most don't have Bowers there either he could be top 10.
  15. A trade back would take us out of the Turner pick and maybe Verse, Murphy may be the best option on the board at that time.
  16. I'm not disagreeing that scheme fit Turner is a better 3-4 prospect but he played the same spot in the Will Anderson played in the Alabama defense and was a 4-3 DE most of the time. I think he is the best pure pass rusher in the draft , the same as you. As a pass rusher in nickel D , he's going to rush the passer more than he's going to be given containment. Dallas runs a similar 4-3 D and Parsons plays DE in it and gets all pro consideration every year. I will grant you , now they move Parsons all over the place but his first 2 yrs was as a DE. Parsons is 6-3 247 almost identical to Turner. Although containment matters in a Flus defense, why not not just get the best pass rusher in the draft? Verse actually lost weight to go to the combine down from 262 to 254 to get better 40 times but playing weight was higher. He does fit the scheme better.
  17. I agree with Turner as best sack guy , but most teams run 60% of their schemes in nickel defense. We can get by with a lack of the true type of DE. Walker is the starter and does well at that anyways.
  18. I think for this year, A rookie edge will be more of a pass rush specialist and rotational guy. Now Verse and Latu probably could start right away. The 3 T is important but does Dexter growth be enough to be that guy 55% of the time? Like you said with limited draft capital, we need one more year of rebuilding. Until the draft is done and 2 nd wave of free agency finishes, he may add someone at 3 T and will at edge. If we take a Dallas Turner, his value will be more after his year of growth but can be a 10+ every year. He has the highest ceiling. I wouldn't mind Murphy or Newton and get Mike Danna in FA. That won't happen if he takes a LT at. 9. I don't think Alt is in his plans.
  19. Does anyone know anything about Mo Karmara? I keep seeing his named mentioned on podcasts as a sleeper type. From Colorado State University and had 13 sacks last year and 43 pressures.
  20. We discuss Verse vs Turner and Poles may like Latu better. I think he surprises up.
  21. He's a top 10-15 QB, hopefully we have a top 5 QB.
  22. It's Keenan I think
  23. It's the biggest reality show in the world. Drama
  24. People talk about Mahomes comparisons but I think Aaron Rodgers is a better choice. He moves around the pocket, arm strength similar. Wouldn't it be ironic to have the next Rodgers while GB has Jorden Love.
  25. I don't proof read everything. I use a tablet overseas and it constantly auto corrects me all the time. When Poles said it would take him 4 years to do a rebuild, that is exactly how it is playing out. And yes on OC and OG. If we had a 2 nd round pick this year it would be the perfect spot to grab Zack Frazier . we still might have a shot at Van Pran in the third but prefer JPJ and Fraizer
