  1. I don't like any idea of giving up more draft picks but if Graham makes it to 7, that cost diminishes a lot. I suspect there might be competition for that spot if it did happen driving the price up. So it may not be doable. Please 3 QBs early May do it.
  2. Here's a nice list of people we have met with and where they are projected to go
  3. I agree with that. Any OL they draft will be able to fill in at guard but will be drafted as a LT since the IOL are here for 3 years if they resign Thuney.
  4. The QBs in drafts always get drafted higher than their value. 3 out of the first 9 means someone drops. Or gives us a more valuable pick 10.
  5. Does anyone listen to CHGO? They have a draft guy ( Fran Duffy) on every week and he appears very good with prospect evaluation.
  6. Until he's signed, there's always the chance he doesn't. Greg Gabriel has the same agent as Thuney and when asked, Poles said we will get it done after the draft. I would say the same money as Jackson. He will draft a OT-OG anyways and if it doesn't get done, someone to fall in place at LG. Also a yr of Bill Murray being healthy may be next in line. He played well what little he played ( preseason also). It's hard to read minds of GMs. The draft will say alot as to what they expect to happen later. Let's say they take Banks Jr for competition at LT and Thuney doesn't sign, a lot of people projected Banks at OG, him or Kiran A moves over.
  7. The argument makes sense but taking the best true LT in this draft may be a later pick in other drafts. It's not a great draft for LT but many good OL as most project inside. Thuney is expected to be extended according to his agent but later in the off-season. So you need to draft a LT. Campbell is a good player but looked at more inside than LT. Could he play LT, of course, but most teams stick players where they would excel the most. A starting LT, or all pro guard? No LTs in the league have 32 5/8 arms and 78 wingspan.
  8. Many have said this. James Pierce is 6.5 and the same weight and is considered a good edge setter and run defender. His frame could probably handle 15 more lbs, at 260 would be doable. Micah Parsons isn't large but I never really people say he's bad against the run. Averaged around 65 Ts a a season.
  9. Of course I have my own opinions but it comes down to what the bears decide so I try to pick their brains. I will probably totally be off base. In general the fans look differently at roster construction than Poles does. We're a couple weeks away from being surprised. Poles does that.
  10. Good article. I don't think the bad year in LA affects him going forward. There will be aot of rushing to the right this year with Jackson and Wright.
  11. I liked DT 2 but could easily be DE2 or OT2 . I don't think any other positions make sense.
  12. With all we talk about with new coaches and new players, it still comes down to how well Caleb plays. I'm excited to watch him grow.
  13. As much as we all have different ideas on who and when, they have 4 picks that will make our team better. Who ever they deem the best players, I will rout for whether I think they are good or not. With the new coaching staff being involved in player evaluations, I trust whoever they take. As for the 4 players, I could give 50 combos as what I would like but I've leave that for brass to make the best decisions.
  14. I'm not sure it will fall that way but you do have good names. I get the impression this is what you would do. Is that what you think the bears will do? I'm not sure it's considered being a dinosaur to watch film ( 80% of the grade) and view other people's opinions. I think you did get the first 3 positions right but not necessarily in that order. If the bears think Banks is the best LT in the draft they may very well draft him. I personally think they will not draft a OL in the first round but if they bring him in for a 30 visit that would be more likely. So far they have met with 3 OTs Josh Conerly, Anthony Belton and John Williams and 2 IOL. Conerly is top 50 but not considered a first round pick. Obviously teams make grade that differently than football pundits. By their actions ( not bringing in the top 4 Ts) I don't think they will do that. Of course that doesn't mean they wouldn't, just trying to read the tea leafs.
  15. We aren't trading up and aren't drafting Jeanty. He won't be there.
  16. I think the reason Green isn't rated high is some of his off the field problems he's had. Don't remember what they were. DUI or arrest for something. 17 sacks is great but having 61 Ts is a very active player.
  17. I think Caleb would wait to long for down field route's to open. A ton of times the outlet throw was their for him . He either has bad vision or was to stubborn to throw short.
  18. The one thing you seen from Caleb was RedZone presents. Holding the ball to long was a bad habit he learned in college. Johnson will change that for him
  19. Lots of people say they have inside sources as to what Poles will do. I don't believe in a second, he always surprises us. Dalman was a no brainer, I don't think that prediction was special news. Everyone knew right away he was going with Caleb but no one has predicted anything else. The bears brass is good for not letting information out. They very easily could take Jeanty but I don't see them moving up to get him.
  20. Cool, I have something for you.matt Bowen is on the Score regularly ( sounds like Doug Buffone) and today they talked about who at 10. He doesn't think Warren or Jeanty will be there,he said they need to take Banks at 10. As much as I like him, I don't think the bears will. He talked about Mykel Williams is going to be a good NFL player and wouldn't be a reach at 10. I don't like people that don't have production. 5 sacks, 21 Ts. Mike Green 17 sacks 61 Ts James Pierce 8 sacks 38 Ts Princely Umanmien 11 sacks 37 Ts Landon Jackson 7 sacks 49 Ts Jack Sawyer 9 sacks 59 Ts JT Tumoloau 13 sacks 61 Ts Bradyn Swinson 9 sacks 59 Ts
  21. Can't disagree with anything you said.
  22. They are already down 2 draft picks,no way they are losing more assets. Carter may be the one player worth trading up for but they need more than one person. Poles probably wants to trade back to the strength of the draft 2nd and third round picks to fill needs. I would say 5 top 72 is more valuable than one top 5 and 2 3rd rounders.
  23. We have enough players to go to war with right now but I think Johnson wants at least one more weapon ( RB - TE-WR), more OL depth, more DL depth and future players at S and LB. The outlier is the evaluation of the current roster, we don't know there opinion. Maybe Johnson thinks Scott can excel. Maybe Allen thinks Jamree Kronah is our 4 th DE. 6'4" 275, 4.77 speed I think how the draft falls will determine what they address first. Example A: Mason Graham drops ( no brainer) Example B: chance to trade back Example 😄 they have a certain player rated as a blue we don't expect ( Mathew Golden)
  24. That applies to every position on the field, better depth. DL is quite different than most positions because they rotate players in and out. You need 4 we don't have 4 quality players at DT and DE.
  25. Aaron Donald is not in this draft. Harmon gets a ton of pressure but is a poor tackler. Has a 40% tackle rate.
