  1. I agree in a long term sense but they will draft one probably in the third. The best rookie WR was pick 177 last year. Puka Nacua. How about Brendan Rice? Already has a connection with him. Great QBs make WRs better. Never know where that is coming from.
  2. I don't think they view getting a #1 WR as a top priority. You have 5 viable throwing options in DJ, Keenan, Kmet, Everett and Swift. Allen could be a one and done but if needed they could tag him one more year. also Tyler Scott was the 13 th ranked WR coming out last year and had some game in college. He should show improvement. He is only expected to be a third WR. The 10 highest paid WRs in the league only has one first-round draftee in it. I think we trade back and ideally get Verse, if not there I have 4 in tier 1 . Verse, Chop Robinson and Darius Robinson.Turner will be gone. I think the Newton injury takes him down the board but Murphy could come into play. I also think JPJ could be in play in a trade back scenario.
  3. Totally agree what a good punter could do, just don't know the talent enough to say who and when.
  4. If Jenkins injury history continues, he could be groomed to take his place and let him become a free agent. Well worth the 3 months he may not play.
  5. Robinson would be a good get at 46 . He's been invited to the draft so I'm thinking he may go first round. He definitely fits a Flus DE and could play inside if needed.
  6. Limmer is an athletic center that may be a late round pick to develop. Jason Kelce was a 5 th round pick that developed into a all pro.

    Draft Day

Everyone knows who the first pick is. What happens at 9 is the question. This is my take and why. 1) Caleb Williams- no brainer 9) trade with LV to 13 and also get pick 77 13). Trade with Cinn to 20 and get pick 80 20) Chop Robinson / Chop is raw but has speed and off the chart athletics. Played the a true DE position and will only be 21 this year. 6'3" 255 at 4.48 speed RAS score 9.69 75) Mo Kamara/ edge highly productive , 6'2" 250 at 4.57 speed. Compares to Brandon Graham RAS 8.82 77) Tez Walker/ WR natural playmaker with 4.36 speed. 18 TDs in last 20 games RAS 9.87 80 )Tanor Bortolini / OC can play center and guard and future starter. Great athlete. RAS 9.79 122) Tip Reiman/ TE great athlete at 6'5" 275 with 4.64 speed. RAS 9.93 I used the Rich Hill chart for trade value and draft buzz and GBND report for content. With limited picks I drafted a rotational WR with speed and upside. Robinson was the last of the top DEs available in the first round. Chop is young and has a lot of growth to develop. Also played a true DE position. Also drafted Kamara giving more depth . Walker is capable of taking reps at 3 T that helps fill depth at DT. Bortollini has position flexibility and is a great athlete. May take one to two years but could be our future starting center. Rieman is a great blocker that wasn't used much as a receiver. Has football IQ and reliable hands.
  8. The best players names are common for most people. These are players that could be good that I think would fit with the Bears in a random order. Zack Frazier- 4 time wrestling champion that skill set fits OL . I think Zach is on the same level as JPJ Care Stover- Was recruited as a DE at OSU so has an aggressive mentality. Has a great drop rate, catches everything thrown his way. Bralen Trice- very active edge, had 70 pressures in 2023. Watching tape he reminded me a lot of Khail Mack. More power rusher than raw speed. Kiran Amegadjie- he has all the measurables to be a long time starter in the NFL. Needs a couple years to develop but this is a Poles type pick. Graham Barton- can literally play any position on the line and would be above average. Doesn't have long arms but only gave up two sacks playing LT. Low 1st or high 2 nd round draft ranking. Adoni Mitchell- watched a video where Josh Lucas broke his tape down and said he's the second best WR in this draft. If we trade back later in the first round , could be a steal. Roman Wilson- speed and great playmaker. Played on a running team or would have had great numbers.
  9. As much as you've involved in this website, you couldn't take the time to do a top 15?
  10. I find more value in experts that were the first to support a prospect instead of the ones that jump on midway thru the process. Last year their was a few that were talking up CJ over Young but most had Young as their #1. With me I supported Justin because of the lack of good coaching and bad oline with the thought he could get better. Plus he WAS on the team, so I was questioning Caleb, not for talent but the intangibles. Does he love football, does he work hard, how does he get along with his teammates and will his ego get in the way? Fields is gone, CW is going to be our pick, so it's time to look at CWs positives. I think he's the most talented QB this year but as Poles accepts him it is more comfortable for me that Poles knows all the secrets and it's a full go.
  11. Agree with all all of that. If CW was coming here 3 years ago , it would have been difficult for him to.
  12. These are statements Dane Brugler made in his Beast draft guide. I like his work but will say he had Bryce Young rated higher than CJ Stroud last year. This is his opinion after studying hours on a prospect. He's not always right . We are drafting CW, so I want him to succeed but great prospects do fail occasionally so calling him great right now is a little premature. Did you call Brugler stupid last year because he had Young rated higher than Stroud?
  13. Remember we didn't pick up Ngakoue until training camp started and he was thought to be one of the better edge players in free agency. Not sure who but , Poles will bring in someone. I expect a draftee.
  14. OTs and edge players are very common first round picks. Can't go by experts mock drafts. Former agents and football people know better. I find it interesting that they have met with 11 CBs. You think they switch Stevenson to FS and bring in another CB? I think they are leaning on BPA available and will cover several positions.
  15. Remember the names Mo Kamara and Jaylon Harrell
  16. The best you can say about Dexter is you watched him get better. His biggest problem was playing to upright. Needs to break that habit. Dexter and rotating Walker inside that covers that position. I would say draft two DEs and build a rotation.
  17. I have a The Athletic subscription, I'll see if it lets m post it on here. He's my favorite draft guide guy. He isnt perfect on his analysis but gets it right most the time.
  18. I like that video. I think Poles plays chess. Doesn't seem to be making the right moves, but we understand later in the game. Smart guy.
  19. Is that the order you would draft? If Odunze is there, I think we have to take him, only because Allen might be one and done. Otherwise I would have to go by your list. I like the trade back scenario getting a _2 nd round pick meaning we would have to at least drop to 20 to do that. Then it would be BPA between WR and DE. In the second get Zach Frazier. Then it's a free fall. I think if we have 5 picks we can fill 4 needs OC, WR contributer, DE contributor. , either OL depth or 3 T depth.
  20. I get the questions, but rookies have questions to when drafted. Free agents aren't always winnable moves. He has to just keep rolling the dice and hope it's not craps. The top 3 OCs are coming in for visits. JPJ will probably be first round but Barton and Frazier are legit 2 ND round picks. He has to have a plan on trading down to get the chance to draft them. So if we get Williams, WR, DE and a center prospect , I'll be happy with this draft.
  21. I think if he accepts the coaching and gets above average play from teammates, no reason to think he can't have the best year as a rookie ever. I think that was Lucks first year. 54.1%-4374 yards-23-18. Yards only CJ Stroud 63%-4108-23-5 Somewhere between there would be great.
  22. If I was him, and was a Redskins fan growing up that would be my choice. I think Poles, Flus, team leaders are selling the Bears to him. As far as I know he's not taking any other visits which means he's buying into the culture here. His ego tells him he wants to be the first pick so that means he has to come here. If there's any negative input into the process Poles will notice it and pick someone else but seems to be heading to be a Bear.
  23. I'm A Williams fan, I'm just sure everything is so black and white. I think a big gray area exists when it comes to coaching, talent around him, proper schemes. out of 4 high QB picks, history says 2 will fail, one may excel and one becomes serviceable. Williams excels Maye bust Daniels bust McCarthy successful. That's my opinion, to be fair busts as far as a high pick, not necessarily out of the league bust.
  24. Not everyone has the same opinion of Daniels. Scouts get paid to watch hundreds of hours of prospects to make judgment calls on prospects. A few hours of watching a prospect is not really enough time to truly judge a prospects game. So why do different scouts have different opinions on any prospect? Good WRs help any QB look better but also a good QB makes WRs look good to.
  25. This is interesting. Out of the ten highest paid WRs only one was a first round pick. https://x.com/TheJoeMarino/status/1777655487586095569
