  1. Anyone ever listen to Steve Rosenbloom on the SCORE on Saturdays usually but on today. Im an optimist and it is the opposite of positive in the name of being realistic. I get critizms with a lot of things up in the air but there has been lots of positive moves this year and arrow is pointed up. I can only stomach him for 5 minutes and today his was talking about Bagent should start over Caleb because he performed so well in the preseason. He's a total debag.
  2. Bearswire had a story showing what national press picked for our record this year. Adam Rank who works for ESPN or NFL.net picked 11-6 and some other guy pick 10-7 and the rest picked 7-10, 7-10, 7-10, 7-10, 8-9, 8-9 . The national guys always blow us off.
  3. I dont remember ESPN ever viewing the Bears in a favorable light.

    Battle at LT

I definitely think he could still play LT and think it was more of a mental rep to play him at RT where he is more comfortable to boost his confidence. Usually stories are developed a week before they post them. I think it is pretty current in a time frame. BJ is very demanding and why all of this is still up in the air.
  5. This video has a little different take on the Parsons trade. He talks about roster cost and the results of paying big contracts and how it affects teams winning SBs. Its 26 minutes long but has a very interesting take on the trade.
  6. Caleb is obvious to having the keys to the car but from the progress I have seen with working with BJ , his floor , to me , has raised quite a bit. We base so much on his rookie year with a lousy coaching system and lack of accountability. He got in to bad habits. He's got a big arm, smart, moves well. He works hard and appears to love the game. Has all the signs of a top 5 type QB. Goff was a good QB but performed top level under BJ. He picked the Bears because of Caleb and I trust his judgement. This is just the beginning, it gets much better and have very few doubts it blows up. We are Bear fans and has a poor team trust on doing the right decisions. This year is different. As far as having a LT , of course we dont know yet but have 3 options after the mediocre Braxton is done here. A rookie, 2nd year player, and rising UDFA. It would be easier if we just drafted a top 10 LT but that is no guarantee for success either and didnt do that. Eagles won the SB last year with a 7th round pick at LT. I think we have a coaching staff now that can develop prospects but that isnt going to be instant mash potatoes. We need to let this play out. Pass rush questions? The Eagles won a SB last year with no stud pass rushers. What they had was several average ones that the DC used to be successful. 8 sacks Was the most anyone had. We have a new DC in Dennis Allen who has a reputation of being aggressive. I think the coaches will raise the level of success. Sweat had a good first year with 12.5 sacks, last year he had a bunch of nagging injuries and only had 5.5 sacks. Which one will we get this year? That will be the key to our pass rushing wows but I trust DA to use him wisely.

  8. I think the biggest question for me before the season starts is: Is Jaylon Johnson going to play and can he be up to speed day 1? I know there are questions at other positions but until we see our players preform, Im going to wait and make those judgements later. Because we are playing Jefferson our first game, I think this matters.
  9. Newman had quite a few snaps against Jones and held his own. He will be the next starter after one of two vets finish their career. Both guards can be moved on from after two yrs the way the contracts are constructed.
  10. Thank you so much for not going to your name calling that you normally go to when we get to this point in a discussion.
  11. My point is, you just can't give your opinion, you have to shove it down people's throats when they don't agree with you. In this thread, you addressed everyone that didn't agree with you. You have every right to beat a subject to death, it's just annoying. Again you get things wrong when you try to put words in my mouth. I was only interested in bringing Jenkins back if he signed a team friendly deal and to bring someone in to compete with him . You paint it like I was president of his fan club. I don't remember the Leno conversation but, you get everything else wrong and I'm sure that is too. You just can't state your opinion and say I disagree, you have to type a novel on why you're right and everyone else is wrong.
  12. I heard his name mentioned but unfortunately it was for a penalty.
  13. Maybe but I heard Jones request a DT in one press conference,so not sure he would have taken an injured CB. I'm sure Poles would have did a better money contract. The reality of it is we didn't trade for him, just like we didn't draft the LT you wanted either. Now for my cheerleading, I hope we have a pass rush and that one of the LTs play well enough to keep the job all year. Like you said early in the preseason, I will wait to watch the team on the field before I judge.
  14. Probably right, since it never happened , any guess could be right.
  15. I have been looking at a lot of GB fan forums like ours and the ones that like it think Jorden Love is a top 10 QB. A lot of them are leery of it screwing the team up next year and beyond. About like the Bear fans reaction to it. 50% think its bigtime for GB and 50% thinks its a problem.
  16. You're entitled to your opinion and he is a great player, and we dont have a good pass rush. Here is his contract. Look at 2028 https://overthecap.com/player/micah-parsons/9476
  17. ESPN is not the only ones crying. I listen to the SCORE all day and watched several podcasts. I, as you, dont think Love is a good enough QB to win a SB for them. I dont think we were one player away from getting to a SB , where GB thinks they are. This is BJs first year as coach, and I want to see the impact he has on the team. It was a big cost to get Parsons, and it may or may not pay off. Would I like to have him, absolutely but just not the time yet . We are capped out going into next year and I know they can play with the contracts but it would mean , if wrong, we will have a problem resigning Caleb if in fact he becomes worth it. Caleb will have to get paid in 2027 or 2028 and those contracts will over lap.
  18. okay, I'll let him know. I dont think his roster has any good values left to take a 2nd one but I'll ask him anyways. He has a league with a live draft on Tuesday with the MyFantasyDraft website and has to do a big board physically. So with the other 5 leagues he's in , he gets lost for time. Also 3 weeks ago he was coming back from Canada fishing and totaled his vehicle but didnt get hurt.(lucky) So he normally would be paying attention more to his leagues.
  19. Chad said he would keep Bowers and lose the 8th (9th round pick) and Justin Herbert and lose the lose the 14th ( 16th round pick)
  20. According to OTC the Packers will have 35 mil in dead cap money over the next two yrs for Kenny Clark. Plus his salary which I havent found yet for this year. He was making 24 mil, but dont know how the new money applies. This is a big risk for GB but if it gets them to the SB , they will be praised for it, if they dont GB fans will be whining for the next 5 yrs. https://overthecap.com/micah-parsons-traded-to-the-packers
