Couldnt find the stadium information thread so I'll stick this here. This video gave me some information about the stadium I didnt know. The state wants the Bears to pay between 100 mil to 200 mil a year in property taxes.. The highest taxes of any NFL stadium at this time is 9 mil a year in Los Angeles. (Expected) I now understand why the Bears are having a hard time dealing with the State government.

I think Turner was mainly a DE and his last year, they had him put on 15 lbs to play DT. They are going to see what they got and if need be , bring someone in. Last year's Seahawks had two of their top sacker were LBers. One DE and one DT.

Sounds like DA wanted Dillion quite a bit.

Bears sign FA WR Scotty Miller
Its just BJ getting another log the for fire. If the young wood isnt dry enough to burn, he brings in some aged wood to burn. Common denominator (speed)

I have heard several times where BJ wants players that love football, high motors and are violent. The UDFA TE, Hayden Large, got a personal call from him before the draft telling him we were interested in getting him. After picking Roush, he thought he may not sign here, but after calling him, he said this is the only place he wanted to be. BJ was pretty excited about that. Probably just a PS member but TEs get injured a lot.

I doubt KT ever weighted 340 while with the Bears, I heard said that both him and Washington were in the 370 range.

NFC North Offseasons
This again is going to be a tough division but having BJ and Celeb gives us the edge. Look at what the other teams added in the draft, all were more defensive draft picks over offense. I see the Viking having more of a bum than Lions and Packers.

I see him getting more reps than expected as a 4.28 running the ball.

This is bad news for the Bears. He helped us a lot last year.

We signed a new kickoff return player. He's not real fast but hard to bring down.

That have a birds eye view as to what they have. Like someone said Braxton is around 315 and working his butt off to enter a payday year and brought in Wills. They have to think very highly that that will work out. Not addressing that spot in the draft in any round makes a statement by itself.

Round 2, Pick 57, Logan Jones, C
Ourlads has a section where they give NFL depth charts and update them regularly. They have Corey Bullock listed as the strarting C. A two year UDFA. Never heard of him before.

I agree with you on missing on picks but I look at things differently since BJ got here, a two year sample size and this year is just starting. If I remember correctly wasnt that a AL Harris influenced pick? It seemed like he was panning for him. The draft is influenced by the coaches that have input combined with the scouting dept. Easy to criticized Poles but he wont be remembered for missing on Pickens and Velus Jones. Hiring BJ and drafting Caleb will be on his headstone. Clearly BJ has an influence on the draft and then we have to assume Flus did also. This is all history now, BJ and Poles will be tied to together as we look back on these years in the history of the Bears. They say if you get a couple of stars and a few contributors, that is a successful draft. Last year is all we have to judge and its looking like a win win. Frazier or a miss on Hyppollite will not matter. Of course if you judge a draft on just one year you will be wrong 75% of the time. Players like Hakim Hicks bounced around the league for 3 years before he found a home here. As a third round pick of NO , he failed for 3 years. Examples last year were Duhson Wright, a PS squad player for the Vikings and DeMarco Jackson . Wright was in yr 5 in the league and Jackson in yr 4. I think waiting to see what a few years in the league is more prudent that calling everyone a first year bust. There was a chart I saw that give the % of hits according to what round a player was drafted. I'll try to find the chart but I remember the third round is a 25% hit rate. That doesnt refer to making a roster but is related to becoming a good starter.

Not sure why everyone thinks Hippolyte sucks . Not all rookies develop at the same pace. I have no idea whether he is any good or not, but I dont think their dropping him until they see if he can contribute after a year of seasoning.- NFC North Offseasons
I would say we're in the same place we were last year accept with a healthy Braxton and a vet addition of Wills. If they werent comfortable with their assets they would have found a way to bring a guy in. Having said they, they still could add there if it isnt working out. Also I saw an article in the Tribune and they listed Kiran Amegadjie as a OG.- Zah Fraizer, 2025 5th round pick waived
I just started a Camp Notes thread and stated that transaction. However someone wants to spread that information. Also Bradbury got a restructure on his contract saving 1 mil in salary.- Camp Notes
Heard today Zah Fraizer was let go. Apparently whatever jacked him up last year never materialized into a dedication to playing in the NFL. Also they restructured Brabbury's contract getting 1 mil in reduction but gave him 1 more mil in guaranteed money.- Round 2, Pick 57, Logan Jones, C
The Ravens usually draft BPA and did that with their first two picks. Hard to say if they would have taken the top C in the third but Slaughter and Jones went in the second round. Teams always lay out the draft with guesses at where players get drafted and taking Jones in the second may have been one round to soon, but as you said they went after the guy they wanted. I suspect Jacas was on their radar and NE jumped two slots ahead of them . They then drafted a guy they wanted.- NFC North Offseasons
You bring up the most important point as people evaluate the roster. In his second year Caleb should be a star. It was important for BJ to add weapons and replace Dalman. This will uplift players on the offense. LT still has questions but we had them last year and it turned out well. They feel secure in having 4 assets to fill that hole at LT and I trust them . We had the #1 OL by some metrics. Adding players on defense that fit DAs scheme and people being healthier has to make the defense better by design. As fans we are not use to success so a lot of fans always look at future success with apprehension. I am looking as the BJ- Poles combo with trust in a small sample size. This is noticeably different than our past experiences. As Adam stated, I dont see the upgrade in the division which is a plus for us.- Round 2, Pick 57, Logan Jones, C
I think it clearly points to they wanted Jones because BJ values C a great deal. If Jacas was there, I think they would have taken Jones at 60. The chance at him going at 58 or 59 was in their favor. I have been seeing rumors of which I think are all pundit generated , is if Jones is outstanding, trade Bradbury to the Ravens who lost Lindenbaun and didnt appear to replace him. Doubt they do that but they have Newman to backup Jones that they were talking about moving to C before Dalman retired.- My hope and theory
I would say anyone they gave money to as UDFAs is because they had several teams recruiting him. This year is set on the OL unless injures pop up then backups get a chance. If Willis and Braxton hold up at LT, Kiran could be moved to one of the guards and well as Theo. Every year is going to be a restart but I dont think they have plans of who they will get rid of going into 2027. Now if Caleb has a great year then I could see them giving him an extension in 27 and they may have to move several good players.- My hope and theory
Of course he could be cut or traded . If he gets hurt or plays bad the backups will get the chance to show what they can do. I could see more of a question with Thuney as he will be 35 after this year as far as moving on but only if they have a replacement ready. He will only cost 5 mil against the cap where Jackson costs 10 mil in dead cap. If they are healthy and playing well, I dont see them moving on from either until after the 2027 season when they have to pay Caleb. - More Videos
