He can't handle the NB spot for sure but as a SS he can hold down the spot until a rookie gets developed. Surely cheaper than bringing Brisker back.

    My guys

There is a value for every draft pick. Don't draft a 3rd value in the first or 7th in the 5th. Someone like Burden who had first round talent fell to the second. Poles and BJ will figure it out.
  4. That makes the most sense as long as Ozzy can be full health again. An average LT with lots of experience. Sounds like Braxton to me.

    My guys

As for now, he's rated a 4th to 5th round pick but the Combine could change that. That would be a great value if we got him in that range.
  6. Applying those same coaching expertise, Theo or Kiran could be put in place until Ozzy comes back by just improving. With modern medicine, writing Ozzy off may be premature at least from his future status. I think LT will be a priority but it depends on their opinion on the current players. Also do not rule out a one year prove it deal with Braxton Jones coming back. It would be attractive to him thru familiarity and giving him more value in free agency with a starting spot available. Could be a first rounder or a prospect in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. I trust them to figure it out.

Trey would definitely be the best choice because, as you stated, it doesn't cost assets to get him. I think a lot of options will be open to us and we are not trying obtain the BPA, it's what we can get without what we have to give up. We will be better from just everyone being healthy but need a few pieces to fit in other than the S room. I wouldn't mind if we brought Byard, Hicks, Gardner- Johnson and a rookie. We need at least 2 assets on the DL and bring back Demarco Jackson if we let Edmunds walk. We need money just to cover our - Cap, rookie and operating capital. That will be done with restructure contracts, a few cuts and possibly trading a few players. We will soon see what and who the bears value in our re-signing and players they cut or trade.
  8. I don't know some of these names but Banks and Kilgore are home runs. Definitely think we draft a LT but probably a few rounds sooner.

They will definitely bring in a TE, not sure where they draft one. I like this guy for a RB addition. 4.45 speed, 6'2"-223 with 34 inch arms. Draft buzz has him as the 136 ranked player, 8 th as a RB. Late 4th to 5 th round.

As much as Dayo didn't show anything, Poles ain't dumping him. At worst a depth piece and maybe he can be productive. Hard to judge injured players. Turner is a ❓ but injuries again came into play. Jarrett was injured and looked better when he got healthy. For every player you get rid of, we have to replace. You can't expect a lot of rookies to walk in and play well so they will take a chance on existing players to be better and draft in fit in the rotation. In FA generally everyone gets over paid and we have limited funds to sign good players. The bulk of our team is existing players, a few free agents and the rookies. If we trade for a big name, it's only going to fill one spot. We're not a 5 win team anymore so this will be engineered, not a rebuild. We will count on our rookie class to get better. What screws everything up this year is probably having to add an asset at LT that will eliminate a DL addition.
  13. Lots of these. They fire me when I watch them. We are going to be very good.

  16. This is a good article and I love your sense of humor. They don't have a first round pick this year.

  18. Here's a mock off season. I don't agree with everything but it's not bad. I think this is the site PHX mentioned.
  19. In 2027 we have 70 mil space and 2028 288 mil. According to OTC. We have future money to play with. Poles set up for everything to gone the year we have to pay Caleb. I think what some are overlooking are improvements coming from injured players coming back and players growing. We are now a contender so the major changes won't be necessary. Offense: if everyone comes back with our roster, we have a question at LT with potential assets of Theo, Kiran or move Wright. So we need to resign a restricted FA McFadden and add another OL. Besides the starters we have Newman, McFadden and Theo or Kiran. Stromberg has a futures contract. So add 1 maybe 2. QB is good TE has two with Carlson and Cathlic. Add 1? RB has 3 and Brown and Haskins. Add 1 if Johnson is gone. WR has the top 3 back with Walker with several end of the roster types.Add 1 or 2? The offense has a few minor adjustments to make. The defense has Jarrett healthy for now , Dayo coming back? Booker and Sweat as starters, Turner coming back and Dexter. Several end of the roster players. We are going to add 3 maybe 4. LBers have Edmunds ( if not cut) Edwards, Amen, Sewell, Hyppolite. A couple end of the roster players. They need 2? CBs are good if everyone is healthy. JJ, Stevenson, Gordon, Blackwell and Terrell Smith. Zak Fraiser is a ❓ Several end of the roster players. Ss , we need 4. We can add help in the draft, resign a few FAs, FAs and if we trade for someone. We can get that all done with restructure of contracts and a few cuts. Now if we get a high end guy we will have to add more Cap space. Overall we are not that far away. We have 57 signed for next year.
  20. I think the concept of being on a SB bound team may keep him here on a user friendly deal. He's not a tier one so no one is giving him that kind of money. I would give him a 2 year extension with the last year voidable to get this years cap space down. 27-28 are cap friendly years before we have to pay Caleb.
  21. Adam if you want to put that together, I'll take a 100 share.
  22. I have to wait until I get home anyway. I'll do a search to find the best odds. +200 is +200, I'll take what I can get. After this coming year, we won't be getting big odds for a long time.
  23. They have a plan, it could be Wright with Theo on the right but Kiran is a wildcard as to his future but what if it happens? Or draft one.
  24. I'm going to place a bet, I saw +2500 for the bears to win the SB That's worth 50 to me.
