I never have any problem when pundits discuss the possibly of actions happening but it's always ( breaking news) type sensationalization like they have special information that bugs me.
-
You may be right, I thought I saw that in a couple of sources but they could have just been fedding off each other. Totally understand the rumor thing, I see people saying we're getting Crosby, Garrett, Hendrickson like it's a fact. Hard to find actual facts anymore on the internet and now we are being introduced to AI, it's going to be the wild wild west out there.
-
They will never replace that, 49ers, both New York teams , anyone that's moved never seem to have identity issues. Indiana has East Chicago as a name sake, maybe a small E gets added?
-
Of course I'm kidding around but saying I'm a fan where ever they go is very true. Now if Chicago replaced the bear's with another team, I may look at that differently.

There are generally anywhere from 15 to 20 blue chip players in most drafts experts say. Not sure I would call it a dead zone but you are correct in saying the next 20 to 55 players are closely rated. Last year had several good players taken after pick 20 . There is a draft site that lists who are the most accurate at drafting forecasting every year. I'll try to find it . Not sure where draft buzz was listed but it's a very well done information site for sure. Anytime you get draft picks like Monangai as a 25th rated RB by almost every site, you realize it's just all a crap shoot and to be taken for a grain of salt. GMs get stuff wrong all the time and they get paid big money to be experts.

This one has good rankings compared to the other ones I have used. PFN has free trades in the process. I can't find where you can do on here.
-
Pro Football Network updates player rankings regularly. That's the one I prefer.
-
Illinois is notorious of screwing things up. I prefer they stay but where the bears play, I will follow. Alaska would be fine too. Talk to the govner AG.
-
Those would be good choices but after the Combine rankings will be changed. I do think one of the first 3 picks will be a LT. BJ values the OL , clearly it will come down to can Theo do the job at a higher level. No free agents out there worth what they will be paid, so probably a high pick.
-
He has 36 1/8 inch arms. Arm length isn't his problem. It's learning fundamentals for a pro LT.
-
I don't disagree with you. Players like Demarco Jackson has been in the league since 2022 and played well this year. I think some players take longer to develop. Kiran is the perfect trait LT but injuries has hampered his career. If he can stay healthy, we get to see if he has anything to offer.
-
I would love him to improve enough to hold the spot down but I still think they add a assert to compete for the starter spot. The big question is does Kiran have anything going into his 3 Rd year? Stranger things have happened.

I saw where Thuney won the award today, hope it wasn't just someone posting rumor as a fact. Harrison Graham posted it.

A few people discussed it with you, me and Mongo let you know we want to move on, that's not fighting words.
-
Yes but in the context of him being here or not, contract reconstruction what we could get for him, not who's to blame for the play we have discussed over and over.
-
This is no slight against you, it's just a heated discussion that calmer minds will let to go to bed. You and Mongo are on the same side of the argument, he just thinks we have discussed the blame game enough. If you want to discuss, if we trade DJ, what can we get for him? but just because he made a comment it doesn't change anyone's opinion on DJs value. Then you explained who's at fault, that's the touchy part that stirs the pot. That would like me trying to present the argument, Fields is a good QB. It's history and history has shown he's not so why bother stirring the pot?
-
I was just going to mention that but you did it so elegantly. Everyone has established their opinions before, DJs comments doesn't change anything. The bears are going to do what they think is best for the team no matter what side of the discussion you take. Sit back and enjoy the movie 🍿

Declan Doyle withdraws name for Eagles OC positions, stays with Bears
Stinger226 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
The OC implemented the plays BJ called. Offensive coordinator. Everyone liked him has a bright mind but he was hired when BJ couldn't bring in who he wanted. Now older connections are available. We actually may be getting an upgrade at that position. The Jets OC, and two friends from Detroit. -
My problem is Maxx just had his 8th knee surgery this season. It pauses me to wonder when it will slow him down. Sweat and Crosby both had 10 sacks this year. He has missed 7 games the last two years. I prefer someone more healthy. Brought to you by San Miguel Light

After bringing in Jarrett an older good pro, I think Poles will have second thoughts going that route. Also a young up and comer Dayo, all these moves say is ( overpay). I think the draft is the key and then if we need something else a one year deal with an older pro. Clowney, Fowler, Floyd, Bosa.
-
Iowa is always a good place to look for prospects.
-
Poles is going to want more draft picks but will be according to his big board. If that player is there, whatever position, he's taking him. Look at the surprise first two picks last year. He also could move up a few spots to get someone but not jumping to top 10 that would cost to much. Lots of depth in DTs this year so that's sounds like picking a target in the second. S is a position he may fill in free agency with a later pick in the draft. So that leaves LT or DE as the logical 25 pick. Most teams don't let good LTs leave so odds of us getting one there is slim. Anyone notice that Braxton is the third rated free agent at LT? DEs always get overpaid at edge. (Dayo) I trust the BJ/ Poles team to get what we need.
-
This makes sense, everyone is speculating but until the contract is viewed by the NFL, it still may leave an opening for the comp picks.

Declan Doyle withdraws name for Eagles OC positions, stays with Bears
Stinger226 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
This podcast throws out all the past connections with BJ and they brought up the Boston college OC is already here, Will Lawing. Maybe BJ was playing 4th level Chess and knew everything that was going to happen. The ones I don't want gone is the OL coach and Randle El- Al Harris. I don't think any others aren't replaceable. -
Last year Poles signed Dayo for an expensive price and he got hurt. I doubt he wants to pay good money for people with injury history. Crosby just had his 8th knee surgery this past year. Hendrickson has missed time over injuries the last two years. The draft is the key going forward that upgrades both our lines. Now if they find some veterans that may want to play here for a winner and give us team favorably contracts that remains to be seen. The other way to add is trade but I don't see us giving up high drafts if we trade for someone and trading expensive players isn't as easy as people make it out to be. Teams have to have Cap space, the need, and usually rebuilding teams want draft picks in return. So more likely a contender with a specific need but will try to got that thru the draft first. After the draft will be when they look for those additions.
