MVS is a Goodwin signing, A deep threat but a #4 WR. Only if on a cheap contract. He will surprise us with who we end up with. Morrow and Patrick are outta left field transactions. If you you dig deep this are good players, not difference makers. I thought a surprise grab would have been Kalif Raymond, A Cohen type with 4.36 speed. But he resigned with the Lions. JuJu at a cheap one year deal has the upside of a good player but only at our price. Byron Pringle and Demarcus Robinson are out there and have 4.4 speed and wouldn't be expensive. Still only 3s at best. Patience is not my strong suit, but I would be bitching if they overpaid, Still could end up with Eric Fisher at 8 mil a year. I would be good with that.

I would jump on JC Tretter and play Lucas at RG . Being in Thailand, I'm doing everything on my tablet, it keeps changing my words all the time, I hate it.

Its always about the money, unless it's like Akin Hicks came back because he wanted to finish his career here. Wouldn't happen, bad example.

Bears Sign Bengals DT Larry Ogunjobi (40M over 3 years)

Poles added a core player, which is going to cost more. Most signings are looked at temporary, this one is not. We have 6 draft picks that hopefully can turn into 8, New England was notorious for trading down. 2 will have to be WRs, 2 OL, CB, SS , Edge, and LB. Ideally, A QB prospect, A speed TE, more LBers, and a DL. We simply don't have enough draft picks. Question : Wou!d you be okay with passing up an ideal prospect, to trade down for extra picks? Example, Zion Johnson at 39 . -
If he takes a 1 year 6 mil contract, absolutely. I think A J Green would be more productive.
-
4.52 in the 40. Roquan was 4.51. Now get a brute at MLB and we may have something.
-
Since he has been in NFL he played RT, most NFL lineman started out as LT. I didn't know his college history. I guess the point I was making was Everyone keeps saying Jenkins isn't a LT, play him there and if he fails we know he can play RT. I didn't even think Charles Leno was an NFL player and he's still playing LT at a high rate . we just don't know.
-
There are a lot of LTs still out there. Also several RT s available. As teams sign players, others get dropped. JC Tretter has considerably been one of the best OCs in the league. His base salary is 9.1 mil. He will get 1.6 mil this year over prorated bonus. If we get him for a few years at 9 mil per year, that would be a excellent get. He is 31, same age as Jensen. Younger than Ben Jones, Matt Paradis. I think Poles will end up with some good players. He also waited to the draft to fill OL spots on KCs offense line.

Normally I would have mentioned it but already started writing the post and and went back to it later in between your post and me sending it. I got lazy.

Not as of tis moment.l was projecting his money.

I can sit and complain , where's the OL and WRs? Or I could be complaining he gave Kirk 17 mil and signed Armsted at. 20 mil. Then next year Kirk is 2 nd on the team with 62 catches and 4 tds. Armsted only plays 10 games because he's injured.
-
Is he a free agent this year?
-
The moral of the story is we don't know. Orlando was a RT, because of injury, played LT. So now he is one the better LTs in the league.
-
We just have to see how this turns out. Actually we have 4 returning starters. We expect two new faces but maybe there's only one. KC completely changed their oline in one year. They signed Joe Tuney, traded for Orlando Brown, and drafted a starting OC and OG, in the 2nd and 6 th round respectively. What if he signs Train Turner for 1 year 5 mil., then brings in J C Tretter for a 2 year 19 mil. Then drafts Tyler Smith and Donovan West. Do we have a better line than last year?
-
Definitely will matter, don't always know the schemes teams use. I did read both Jensen and Allen fit the outside zone blocking scheme. I did read Daniels fits the new scheme. If Daniels doesn't get a 12 mil a yr contract offer in the first few days, we may in play at 8 to 9 mil per contract and play him at OC.. Lots of guards still out there. Keep in mind that Poles found a starting OC and RG in KCs draft last year. Round. 2 and 6.
-
The Ravens have resigned there backup OC but Bozeman is still available. Maybe we still can bring him in at a Brian Allen contract, 3 for 24.
-
There will be a lot of good players released going forward. If we did nothing until the draft we could still have a shot at some good players. We don't know how Poles eva ulated the Oline. He may be seeing what the market is for Daniels and thinks Mustifer has a chance to start. We may only need to add one starter and it may be in the draft.
-
Poles could made an offer for but didn't go that much. We got a core player in Larry, the one tier signing. I thought it would have OL . My two guys resigned with the SB champs, Noteboom and Allen, hard to compete with that. Both contracts would have been doable by Poles, but existing teams have an upper advantage.

I thought he would have one (tier one) signing but surprised it wasn't Oline. I don't for see any more fat contracts. -
Those are just Bears writers guessing a story. There might be one true but which one?
-
WRs I'm down with: That's realistic at our picks Pierce Watson Pickens Sky Moore Jahan Dotson Khalid Shakir Calvin Austin David Bell Eric Ezuksnma No Melton Danny Grey
-
Yes I read it I was agreeing with you.
-
juju on a 4 yr 34 mil deal. 7-8-9-10 with 17 guaranteed. so you could cut in third year if you want. Or a one year10 mil prove it deal.
-
Faalele doesn't fit what the outside blocking scheme suggests. 39 would be to early for him as far as value. Rainnman fits scheme but a late one or early two . He might be there. I think they address the oline in free agency and instead of looking for a starter early more of a developmental player in round. 5 or 6. I think they find a OG to replace Whitehair in a year or two to eliminate his big contract. A Cole Strange or Chris Paul. I tink they should go WR with two of there fi3 picks. Cheaper options instead of FA.
-
I think Whitehair stays at LG, OC and one OT will be new .Borom plays RT or RG, Jenkins LT or RT . Don't see us bringing back Daniels at 10 or above .
