  1. Paying a vet has risks also ( Parkey) , keep looking until you find someone at a cheap price.
  2. Having a 3,4,and 5 will get us contributors to the team this year. When you have little draft capital, I see them moving back for more picks instead of forward and give picks away. Pace has a better track record in mid rounds than first rounds. Trust in Pace.
  3. Browns won't tender BBC? He led the team in snaps over the slot last season. Really good nickel class in free agency with Tyrann Mathieu, Bryce Callahan, Brian Poole, Justin Coleman, Darqueze Dennard and Steven Nelson, whom John Dorsey drafted, about to hit the open market. There are lots of good slot corners out there this year. I see Callahan coming back on a lower pay contract. To many players will drive the price down.

    Acho Cut

I think they resign him on a lesser salary.
  5. The combine always boasts players above their true value. I think the 2 most important traits are work ethic and production on their tape. Speed is very important but not everyone with speed is a football player.
  6. Your probably right but I don't think he gets that from us. He was undrafted and had injuries every year. We have big money ties up in Fuller and Prince. I do not see us dumping money into Callahan when next year we have to end up giving Jackson a big contract. You have to balance big contracts with a few cheap ones.

    Callahan

If Callahan doesn't get the free agent attention his agent thinks he will, how much will the bears resign him for? I'm thinking 3 year 15 mil. 1----4 mil 2-----5 mil 3-----6 mil 6 million guaranteed.
  8. Speed always gets over drafted. Some win , many lose.

    Draft RB

If we end up with Pollard, I suspect he gets more touches than Howard, as the versatile player Nagy wants Mizzell to be.
  10. I hope Long has a healthy year, makes our OL top 5 for year. Daniels takes giant step forward.

    Draft RB

I keep throwing this out there. The 2 RBs from Memphis, Pollard and Henderson. Will be studs in our offense. I think we resign Callahan but not Amos. I now have no problem taking a RB anywhere to replace Mizzell. Pollard in 5th would be awesome. SS in 4th , backup OL in 6th. As far as OL . Witzmann and bringing Allen off PS will fill OL need for now.
  12. We have to remember that Pace had leftover scouting dept from previous regime. After year one he put his guys in place. After first year he has been smoking the drafts. In last 2 years has added core players for years to come. Made mistakes along the way but being aggressive key.
  13. Chances were against us getting him anyway, try to find a good at a cheaper price. Hard to do.
  14. This is all good for saving money but it doesn't address the fact he has been injured for 3 years straight. We need to add a potential starter caliber to back him up and possibly be a swing OT also. A few of them in the draft.
  15. Something to do in Thailand for 4 months being bored.
  16. At 77 , I beg him no harm for doing what ever it takes to be human.
  17. Less dead money than I originally thought.
  18. I think Pollard is the player Nagy wants Mizzell to be. The dude can run.
  19. Never knew about the glennon angle, way cool.
  20. As of now we have 6 mil in cap space figuring the new cap limit will 189 million. Positions of need S -- we have Bush coming back, resigned DHS for depth , added Vaccaro for fresh start, drafted Hooker CB- moved Joseph and Mincy to roster, added Ward to mix for Slot Pass Rush- resigned Ocho for depth, have Fitts and Irving for potential, added Ray for prove it deal OL-- drafted BB, brought Coward and Witzmann back. resigned Coward, brought up J. Allen off PS TE-- Burton and Shaheen back, brought back Braunnecker and drafted Knox RB- Howard and Cohen back, signed Ty Mongomery and drafted Pollard. Will bring in UDFA to find a punter , signed Jones and drafted Tracy for K TAKE YOUR TURN at GM
  21. There are several players that could fit well. I personally like Tony Pollard/ Memphis. Checks all the boxes
  22. Long hasn't had a full season for the last 3 years. Witzmann played okay, but were back to trying to replace him in the season. So get his replacement and give a year to grow. If Long is injured again this year , do you think the Bears will bring him back at 9 million a year? That won't happen. You have another young player that can get with Daniels and Whitehair for a long time.
  23. I used the GBND big board to do our first 3 picks. I went up 10 spots and down 10 to decide who to pick to give a value specify draft. 3rd. 88 Cris lindstrom/ OG/ BC I think he will replace Long in our starting lineup either during to injury or next year when we cut Long. 4th 114. Devin Singletary/RB/ Flor Atlantic. He is quick and very capable of becoming a Hunt type of back. 5th 138. Nasir Adderley S/ Delaware. The kid can play , looked great in the senior bowl. Give it a shot: https://gbnreport.com/preliminary-top-50-prospects-for-2019/

    Draft RB

Looks good. I think the powers that will be , will do diligentence and find a good RB to add at a good value. I personally can see Tony Pollard from Memphis being a Alvin Kamara type of draft pick. Had to share time with another good RB and his upside has not been shown yet. Would love to see him in the 4th round. We need to find a 3rd round OL to transition from long after this year.
