  1. If you leave PPF out of it, most consider HaHa as a better player than Callahan. I think the key to signing him is the money. There were in on Weddle, so by his contract, I would say they want to pay 5 mil for the SS spot. Will Haha play for that , maybe. I think playing with Jackson and the best defense in the league , maybe he takes a 1 year deal to boast his value and get a payday next year like Amos. I would say a 1 year deal for 6 mil. last year, he had 92 ts, 3 int , 6 pds, 2 FF. He has 14 ints in 6 years. Definitely a better player. Then we draft a SS to take his place after this year.
  2. We have Howard, Cohen, Davis and Patterson. If we trade Howard on draft day, we in turn will draft a RB. Even if we don't make a trade we are still going to draft a RB, so we go into camp with 4 or 5 plus Nall is still a practice squad nominee. Last year we ran the ball 468 times. As the offense progresses we end up with more overall plays so I will leave this number about the same. HOWARD or draft pick-- 200 Carrie's Cohen had 117 last year, so we give him 100 Davis-- 100 Patterson-- 40 Trubisky had 67 last year, but let's say 40 this year. Nagy likes to mix it up so I think it will not be a load type of back anymore. I think Davis is capable of being the 200 Carrie's guy in our offense. I have watched every tape I can find on him and I think at 219 lbs and few injuries history , he can be the guy. In the draft, I like, in order of importance, Henderson/ Memphis Sanders/PS Love/ Stan Pollard/ Memphis I think the Alabama RBS are gone, and probably Henderson and Sanders. So my choices would be Love in the 4th round or Pollard in the 5th. So I would target Pollard in the 5th given us 3 and 4 to fills what ever needs we don't fill in FA. So I predict we get a 5th for Howard on draft day. and draft Pollard in the 5th. So Davis- 200 Cohen- 100 Pollard- 100 Patterson and Trubisky-- 80 Gabriel, Miller-- 10

  4. Yes, compare their numbers at the end of the year. As a 5th WR, he is not going get 40 rec but he will be making some big plays . As a RB, he will get 40 touches and have about a 6 yard average depending on whether we keep Howard or not.
  5. The biggest impact is his takes one CB out of the play and freezes the FS with his speed, open the field up for everybody else. A total matchup nightmare when he is on the field. The money seems a little more than we would like to spend but that's what 28 yr old vets get. Bellamy signed a 2 yr 7 mil deal, CP is 2 yr 10 mil. Who would you rather have.
  6. If you remember the bear game last year, he had a fumble but also had a 95 TDs return. You could say we lost the game because of him. Besides being the best return man in the league , he can be our 4th RB, as a career 7.9 average. Also as a 5th Wr he can stretch the field with speed. Imagine him and Robinson going downfield with Taylor Gabriel across the middle with Cohen and Burton running loose. Who you going to leave open as a DC,? The speed he has creates tough match up problems. If your running a reverse would prefer a small Gabriel or a 218 lb faster runner.
  7. We have added 3 contributors at easy money. Now a SS and extra edge rusher , punter and go draft.
  8. The more assets this offense has the more plays the team makes . Making more touches to go around for individuals.
  9. I think this ends our RB search in free agency. CP fills 3 spots #1 KR, 5TH WR, and 4TH RB. Then we draft one and potentially trade HOWARD on draft day when he would carry the most trade value. Howard? possibly a trade candidate. Davis Cohen Patterson (could take a WR spot) Draft pick
  10. I agree, he's a #1KR, #4 RB, and 5th WR that fills 3 spots. I thinks that is a huge signing.
  11. As much as Callahan played well, a more durable Skrine is more of a side step than a downgrade at the position on a cheaper contract. All good.
  12. I can see Pace signing a player on a cheaper contract. A Adrian Phillips/SS/SD or a Jimmie Ward/S/CB on a prove it deal.
  13. It would be interesting if HAHA came here. He is more of a playmaker than Amos. I think he would be a upgrade.
  14. He becomes our #1 KR, 5th WR, 4th RB, fills 3 spots, sounds like a deal to me.
  15. It's a good thing he went to the packers, it cost them some coin. He is a good player but I suspect we upgrade and they will be disappointed in his play, not a playmaker.
  16. I think they get HaHa Clinton Dixs/ SS, Cordell Patterson/WR and Marcus Golden/OLB. None big contracts but will need the money to get all 3.
  17. With free agency starting we all play fantasy football for the bears. We all want Bell, Collins, and top free agents. The truth is we have arrived, we no longer are in line to go after needs, we are now tweaking the roster. We scratch our heads with Skine and Davis but the truth is we have to find competent replacements, they don't have to be stars. Now it's about fitting players in our spending window. You think maybe Callahan and Amos looked good because they were playing with stars around them. I think the personal had something to do with it. A lot are improvements will come from our existing roster getting better. Trubisky, Miller, Floyd , Smith, Nichols, Daniels, Whitehair, RRH, Shaheen, and Wims. Also as the offense grows, Burton will play better and if Long stays healthy that will be huge. Paces strength is the draft. We will add 3 players this year that will contribute and one will potentially be our lead back. We shouldn't overlook the players at the end of the roster as getting better. Joseph, Mincy, Franklin, and Tolliver in the backfield. Irving, Fritts and Iggy at LB. Allen, Beavers, and Lukas on the OL. We are throwing darts at K , Jones, Blewit , a few draft picks. I think we're in good shape, if we get the kicker right and Trubisky gets better, we are going to see a trip to the Super bowl.
  18. I seen a breakdown of both Skine and Callahan, stactisiclty They match up well. The biggest advantage to Skine is only missed 5 games in 4 yrs. Has an attitude and Nagy deemed him the best nickelback in the league when we played the jets. With the 9 starters coming back, he should fit in well. Played on bad teams the last few years.
  19. Not a lead back but replaces Cunningham. Their RB is coming in the draft.
  20. They just didn't draw a name out of the hat and say let's pay him. We will see if it turns out well. The only way we know this is successful is when he plays. Pagano is a DB guy, I suspect he had some input in this , Pace does make some mistakes, we don't know if this is one of them.
  21. We resign, BB/TE. 2 yr deal above RFA cost.
  22. I would guess everything comes down to money. Statistically their very close. Lets say Amos gets 7 a year on a 4 year deal and Tyrann takes a 1 year prove it deal for 5 mil. I suspect we draft his replacement and sign a vet on a low contract, Kenny Vaccaro comes to mind.
  23. It sounds more like that might happen but if you only get a 6 or 7,I would not do it.
  24. He may not be the same player he use to be but that does not mean he was bad. 2018-- 89 Ts-- 2 int--6 pd- 3 sacks-5 tfl- 1 fr- 4 qb hits. Statistically 2015 is the only year he had better stats. Last year Amos had 79 Ts, 2 int, 9 pds, 1 sack, 1 tfl, 1 fr, 0 qb hits. I might add only 3 ints his career. Tyrann has 13 in his career, bigger play guy.

    Acho Cut

I don't think they know yet, they will draft one and bring in a cheap vet like lynch last year.
