  1. Nashon Wright getting a lot of snaps in place of JJ being hurt. He was in Dallas when Al Harris was there and he recomended him. 6'4" 190 with man coverage skills. The only 40 time I could find was 4.49 speed. Was on Minnys PS last year and practiced against Viking WRs. He may be a gem in the rough. Al Harris is well respected and likes him and wanted us to draft Zak Frazier. We will soon find out how smart Al Harris really is.
  2. Plenty of decisions to condemn Poles for but here we are in the 4th year of a rebuild and we are ready to shine. The most important decisions Poles did was draft Caleb and hire BJ. I am happy we are at this point in time of all the ducks are align in a row, and dont care how he got here, we are here. Its time to deliver and I believe this is the year we become playoff bound.
  3. Somebody likes taking everything I say and wants to argue about it. I was being sarcastic. After the draft she said apparently the price was to high. I suggest, it was never in play.
  4. Okay ( narrative ) was a bad choice of words. I seen her on 4 podcasts and she was very positive that this would happen, suggested inside info. Do you want me to find the 4 podcasts or are we good she was pushing that this was highly likely to happen? And we didnt do it.

    Battle at LT

Pads go on Monday so all questions will be answered. I wish Jones was up to speed and played well that would give us a tradable asset if Ozzy plays well and Kiran is coming along. At least it would project him getting and over 20 mil contract and get a comp 3rd round pick. I think if Ozzy and Kiran are equal they go with Ozzy that looks to have more upside. Kiran is valuable because we need quality depth. Having Braxton and Kiran to back up OTs is a good thing for depth.
  6. Yes its a wasted 3rd round pick but to suggest we missed out on Puka is reaching. He was pick 177, everyone passed on Puka many times. Looking back at drafting and then finding players that did well in the draft behind Scott is wasted breath. Those statements should be made when the draft is complete, like we should have took Puka instead before knew how good he was. I like CC a lot, a very well spoken smart lady of football, but she is good at pushing narratives. Before the draft she said insiders said we were trading up to 5th pick and taking Jeanty. I seen 4 different podcasts she was guested on and was liike guarranting it. Then after the fact, the cost of the trade was to much cost. I think if Jeanty was there at 10, we would have taken him but they wanted more draft picks not trading them away. The Raiders were definitily going to take him, I think the Bears planned on how the draft was going to fall and expected to take Loveland. BJ said every job was in competetion and JP getting reps and Scott invisible lets us know, he's gone.
  7. Totally, repetition is how you learn the new techniques. BJ will demand he learns that and he will eventually succeed at it. Caleb is a smart player, not just a QB, he will adapt to new ideas as he goes along.
  8. Here's a projected 53 man roster. I do not agree that Tyler Scott makes the WR room. J P Richards has been spectacular in camp. I say him. https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2025/07/27/bears-projecting-53-man-roster-90-caleb-williams-ryan-poles-ben-johnson-nfl-training-camp
  9. I think the components are here to get there quicker than he did in Detroit but it is a process. I predict after the bye week, we will be rolling.
  10. Spot on. With all the noise on bad offense, the only one Im listening to is what BJ says. He said this is normal ramp up to showing signs of life. He's right on track.
  11. The running game is in good hands. People overreact to the unknown but its actually not. A leading rusher in the Big Ten 2 yrs in a row is a good resume. https://beargoggleson.com/it-took-one-play-at-bears-training-camp-for-rookie-to-threaten-veterans-jobs
  12. I agree with almost everything you said but to say (this as a rookie with nothing around him) DJ, Rome, Kmet, Swift are looked to be a strength to BJ. I think humans are creatures of habit and Caleb got in bad habits with bad coaching. Wasnt held accountably for his contritubtion to last years failures. One of his strengths is adaptablity but that doesnt come over night. Has to learn being under center most the time, change his mind set to look for the big play instead the check down, to make quicker decisions to what he sees. The only time he showed rythum was when he was in two minute offense when forced to at the end of games. Remember BJ jumped on the chance to come here because of Caleb. Patience is the key to a complete do over with a great to be coach.
  13. Morning news Colston on the field Burden at camp but not on the field Shemar Turner twisted his angle, to the locker room. Zak Fraizer missing due to personal reasons. JJ is in the building rehabing the hamstring injury
  14. I also wanted Vrabel, and I think he will do just fine, but not the offensive mind of BJ and the agressiveness of DA. Poles hit HRs on these hires. Of course no games played yet but but being accountable in the first practice is proof they aint playing around. The sooner players know its not the softcore Flus, the sooner the build up starts. Humans are creatures of habit and they have new habits to learn.
  15. An exculsive interview, that explains JJ and Burden injuries to a point
  16. Taverious Moore was just released after the first practice. Now that's accountability
  17. Why BJ is going to be a great coach, GET IT RIGHT motto and has the offensive mind of a Shanahan or McVay. I know we have to see the finish product but his attitude shows everyday and its great.
  18. I am so happy that now we get to see what everything done this year looks like on the playing field. Speculation, projections doesnt matter anymore. I think our first preseason game is 3 weeks away. I am overly optimistic on the results of Poles and BJ.
  19. I have concerns, but until games are played, I'm hoping it all works out with DA. DA has a history of blitzing SS, NB, LBers, corner blitz, I will have optimism also and dont care if all of it comes from the front 4. What ever it takes to make it work, Im all in on.
  20. Most fans and me are concerned about the pass rush and that we do not have enough fire power to be effective. Last year we had 40 sacks, had Billings and Sweat not had injury concerns we would probably had 4 to 8 more. The two SB teams had 39 and 41 and they obviously made it to the SB. We now have a coach , DA, they is much more agressive in attacking the offense. Just by coaching changes we will have an uptick in sacks. We added Dayo, Jarret, Turner. Sweat and Billings are healthy, we should see progression from Dexter, Booker and Dom Robinson. I think the concern of the DL is a little overblown and we will be fine as long as everyone stays healthy. Of course I always want more but I think we are okay.
  21. Local beatwriters whining because Poles didnt give more information and only had a 19 minute press conf. David Haugh is the biggest crybaby on the beat.
  22. This video gives some information on Bears camp and it solely the opinion of the creators.
  23. Seems odd that there is not more information about that. Did anyone listen the Grady Jarrett today? A reporter asked him that because of his age if he will start slow and ramp up to the season. (Hell no, its balls to the wall every play and everyday. That's what makes him a good player, never slow down. (a generalization not word for word)
