The unknown here is, does Nagy upgrade the play of White? I do not think they can count on him, but he is still a blue chip prospect that got robbed of development because of injuries. It is still possible he could be something. We have the right coaching staff in place to make that happen. Just think if he becomes 90% of what he was suppose to be, we will have the best WRs in the league, or at least top 5. The best trait for Miller I like is his desire to get the ball, he will dog fight to get that ball. I feel he may end up being one of the best WRs in the league and when they talk about a trade up, he may have been the WR we were trading up for. It is obvious to see we wanted him very bad.

If Nall is a good blocker, I can see us replacing Burton with a more usable player in our offense. I think Anderson , Joseph, and Oliver all have a chance of making the practice squad. Maybe Rotimi

I as everyone else complained that in the 4th round when they took the ILB that baffled me they didnt go edge. Armstrong and Sweat went later in the round and I thought those were much better choices. If you look closer at all of their draft profiles, there is very little difference in all three of these players. Armstrong is slower, Sweat lacks some of the burst, production for one year for both were better, but overall, not a whole lot of difference in all three and Fitts they got in round 6. I would say they did not rate the value at that spot in the draft much better and thought they could get Fitts later. Of course Fitts has durablity concerns but the others are not far behind in areas of health. If Fitts stays healthy he may have similar careers at a better value. A lot of ifs will all, but they may have choose wisely and we just do not know what the value of Joel I. will have. Time will tell.

I think that choosing who succeeds and doesnt is such a difficult thing to do no matter what information you have, that is why they are 50/50 at it. My point is they have more information to go by . We read stuff, look at tape and and make intelligent opinions but its not comparable. I always look at production, desire, and worth ethic to decide who I think will do well. I just dont have privy to the same information the experts do. I prefer a instinctive football player to a physical freak. The perfect example is Edmunds and Smith. Edumunds is a freak and if he grows with a coach should have a better career than Smith if you look at measurables but 3 things stick out to me that I am not sure Edumunds will ever have, instincts and leadership qualities. The desire to win. It is hard to determine that from our prospective. They have a better chance of reading those signs than us. I think if fans had the same information I am sure some would excel at doing a better job than some NFL personal. We are just not in the same situation as them. When people like Brady, Wilson, slip in drafts, you know the system is flawed for everybody.

I was pushing for R. Smith the whole time, so obviously I think that is a great pick, but I have to say, the more I see and read about Anthony Miller, the more I think he will be special in this offense.

I have been reading about Rotimi/edge and he has size and a quick twitch, he could surprise and hang around at least on PS. Also Have read some good things about A. Anderson/DT from Bucknell that has been added. He looks like he could stick around. As far as UD, I think Toliver-Joseph-Nall-Rotimi-Anderson all have a chance to hang around . Joseph and Rotimi have a chance to make 53. Rotimi has size, speed and quick traits that say he could be ascending. At 6-3 273 4.7 speed Bio: Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA in 2016 and 2017. Made 29 tackles (seven for loss) with 5.5 sacks as a senior. Recorded 44 tackles (10 for loss), seven sacks and two forced fumbles as a junior. Posted 36 tackles (six for loss) and 4.5 sacks in 2015. Made two starts and tallied 30 tackles (2.5 for loss) and two sacks as a true freshman after walking on. Pos: Incredibly athletic pass rusher with outstanding movement skills. Fires off the snap, plays with terrific pad level and displays good change of direction. Immediately alters his angle of attack, displays speed in pursuit and chases the action hard. Gets a lot of force going up the field and can be tough to handle. Keeps his feet moving and his hands active. Neg: Lacks natural bulk and strength. Handled at the point of attack. Gives effort defending the run but is often sealed away from the action. Analysis: Rotimi is an explosive edge rusher with growth potential and a good amount of upside. He needs to improve his playing strength and refine his game but offers possibilities as a defensive end in a four-man line.

This all starts with our new coaching staff. They all look like studs and we will have to see how that translates to the football field but the arrow is pointing up. Everything we did is contingent on Trubisky being good, the signs say he could be real good. At least we upgraded the talent around him. QB-we appear to have more competent backups this year with Daniels and Bray ( we will find out if MT goes down) RB-Howard , Cohen, Cunningham, Mizzell, Nall Howard will excel in this offense and Cohen will be a star because Nagy will use him properly. Cunningham is a good backup that could carry part of the load if Howard would go down. Mizzell is an interesting player that they could stash on PS, Nall has yet to show anything but is at least big enough to carry a load if Howard goes down. Probably a PS guy also. WR- Robinson,Gabriel, Miller, White, Bellamy,Gentry, Fowler, Brown,Ayers, Wims Robinson, Gabriel, Miller, Fowler I think are no brainers, I think White sticks and Bellamy-Gentry-Brown-Ayers all go away. Wims get stashed on the PS. Total upgrade at the position with high expectations. Fowler is a good ST guy so I think he pushes Bellamy off the roster. The wildcard here is White, everybody is writing him off but I think Nagy puts him in the position to contribute this year. I think Miller turns into a stud in the slot position. TE- Shaheen,Burton, Sims, Brown, Braunecker, Thompson This is going to be a huge part of the passing game. Burton will shine, Shaheen will take a step forward. I even think Sims gets put in a better position to succeed . Brown even may have room to stick if they only keep 5 WRs. Braunecker and Thompson look like done. OL- Leno, Massie, Sowell,Long, Kush, Morgan, Whitehair, Lee, Grasu, Daniels, Watford, Greene. We all complain about our OTs but they actually played better than we first think. Sowell is the only backup OT that probably sticks. With Whitehair, Long, Daniels we should have a stable situation this year. Longs health is a concern, but this year Morgan and Kush at least give up competent backups. Finally they can get rid of Grasu that just sucks, Watford may stick, It seems like another backup OT is needed that may keep C. Lee around a while. This offense is going to be fun to watch once it gets off and running. MT is the key but the running game will give great support to put MT in a better position to succeed . Cohen is going to be stud in this offense, and Burton will star. This offense could be top 10 if everything goes right.

seriously, your saying Fangio isnt any better at judging talent than the typical fan? I want some of what your drinking. Yes the experts are at 50/50 but they know what players fit their systems better, they interview the players, they spend time with them looking at everything about them. We read what other people say and that makes us on par with coaches and GMs. OF course they only get it right 50% of the time but they have more information than we do to make those decisions. It just shows you how hard it is to judge players and their success at the NFL level. Medicals come into play that we sometimes do not have information on. Attitudes, are difficult to tell in stories. It is not even close to being some fans are as smart. We guess right sometimes, but forget all the ones we suggest that flop.

It will define itself, I would say to take him in the 4th , that Fangio had some input into this. Do they suspect to groom him to take over for Trevathan in one or two years. He can run and is athletic, but just dont have enough information.
-
Some of these seem as odd picks with known names on the board, but they due indepth research on them, so somebody liked them, they just didnt draw names out of a hat. I also heard that Kwait will be moving to the outside.

We need more information, maybe a SS ? Pass rusher only? Has the frame to put on 20 lbs?
