I still think we could take a RB late in the draft but he is a good backup RB that can catch the ball.
-
your posts are always well thought out, you make a lot of sense.
-
He would be an upgrade, but we probably need to have more information. Why would Raiders let him go? Lots of questions to ask. Anyone know, is it his contact.
-
I am not saying he will not make a contribution in his first year. My point is the high expectations will not be realized his first or even second year. He is very young and has a good coach to teach him. On the other hand , if we get the chance to draft Nelson, he would have instant impact at a position we also need an upgrade. If Nelson is there, I am all in on Edmunds as our pick.
-
I think Edmunds is so very young that he will take a few years to develop. I would like someone that has an impact from day one. I think Chubb, Nelson, and maybe Fitzpatrick could be those that do. If none of them are there, Edmunds or Davenport, possibly Landry should be our choice. At least they have all have upside of being a quality edge rusher, but not guaranteed . I hope they address the Oline in one or two, of course we shouldn't reach for that, still take the BPA if it falls that way.

Round 1 Pick 15 (ARI): Edmunds, Tremaine, OLB, Virginia Tech (A) Round 2 Pick 7: Washington, James, WR, Oklahoma State (B-) Round 2 Pick 15 (ARI): Miller, Kolton, OT, UCLA (B) Round 3 Pick 15 (ARI): Smith, Braden, OG, Auburn (A) Round 4 Pick 5: Thomas, Chad, DE, Miami (FL) (A+) Round 4 Pick 15: Toliver II, Kevin, CB, LSU (A+) Round 5 Pick 8: DeLuca, Nick, ILB, North Dakota State (C) Round 6 Pick 7: J Hall, P, DT, Sam Houston State (A+) Round 7 Pick 6: Edmonds, Chase, RB, Fordham (A) Here is a draft where I made one trade with ARZ for the 15th, 2nd and 3rd round pick. I addressed the OLB, ILB and 5t with Thomas. Also a backup NT in J P Hall Also got a OG and OT to help with our line depth. Grabbed Washington is the second as BPA.

Ward would be a good choice only if a few others are gone. Nelson-Edmunds- Fritzpatrick- Landry then I would pick Ward. CB is not a weakness for us and think we will fill other needs first. Our DBs were ranked 10th last year in the league and will be better this year with the growth the young players will have. Fritzpatrick will fit out defense better than Ward with flexibility to place every spot in the D backfield, so I think he has more value than Ward.
-
I'd be happy with Edmunds, but he isn't a instant star , it will take a few years to develop. Nelson day 1 makes the oline special. Get the Oline up to speed then worry about defense.
-
It wouldn't bother me one bit if we took OL in the first 2 rounds and grabbed all edge rusher prospects with the rest of our picks.
-
Both Edmunds and Davenport are not first year studs, they will both take some development. Fangio will do that. If Nelson is there, he will be the pick. 1. qb 2. Chubb 3. Qb 4. Barkley 5. I have read many places that Denver is still in on a Qb. 6. This pick will be Nelson or Fitzpatrick possible trade partner for Buff 7. Will be Fritz or Ward. They have lots of issues in their defensive backfield. TB added Ryan Jensen and will move a good Ali Marpet to OG. They have the 17th ranked OL last year, so they may look to upgrade a poor defense. 8. Nelson could be there. If not Edumunds or Davenport should be our pick. Also I read where R. Smith is a scheme fit for a 3-4. Light(237 ) at combine, he could be a BPA at that part of draft.
-
Hall is listed as a Safety so I think he is the first backup to both starters. He was hurt part of the year, so we dont really know what we have in him.
-
I know it varies depending on who you read but I read their is no flaws in his game. He has all the tools. Have never read he has slow feet. One of the reasons they let Sitton go is because of his lack of quickness.
-
I think they are willing to roll with Kush as the left guard if they cant draft a Nelson or Hernandez. The one thing we have to keep in mind is we the king of the OL coaches. We dont know what he thinks or how well he improves the players we have. He stated he liked the OTs which may be lip service or he could mean it.

/www.first-pick.com/NFL/DraftGame.aspx Since we pretty well have done all of our damage in FAgency, lets fill the roster. In this draft site, you can trade. For sake of being realistic, lets use only up to 2 trades. I started out trying to fill BPA scenario and this is what I ended up with. I traded back with ARI for the 15th, round 2 and 3 picks I then traded back to 18 with SEA for a coupld extra picks in the 4th and 5th. My first 3 picks were BPA IMO, after that I tried to fill with needs also. I figure we have 4 starters out of this draft. I think Fitz takes Princes job I think Carter starts early I think Crosby replaces Massie I think Quessenberry starts at OC. Your score is: 21952 (GRADE: A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 18 (SEA): Fitzpatrick, Minkah, CB/FS, Alabama (A+) Round 2 Pick 7: Carter, Lorenzo, OLB, Georgia (A) Round 2 Pick 15 (ARI): Crosby, Tyrell, OT, Oregon (A) Round 3 Pick 15 (ARI): Quessenberry, Scott, C, UCLA (A-) Round 4 Pick 5: Smith, TreQuan, WR, Central Florida (A+) Round 4 Pick 15: Settle, Tim, DT, Virginia Tech (A+) Round 4 Pick 20 (SEA): Thomas, Chad, DE, Miami (FL) (A+) Round 5 Pick 4 (SEA): Adams, Josh, RB, Notre Dame (A-) Round 5 Pick 8: Clapp, Will, C/OG, LSU (B-) Round 6 Pick 7: Adeniyi, Olasunkanmi, DE/OLB, Toledo (A+) Round 7 Pick 6: Iyiegbuniwe, Joel, ILB, Western Kentucky (A+)

There is no way they pass on Nelson if he is there. He is a potential all pro his whole career and with him and Whitehair the anchor of our future OL.
-
Tanner Gentry, McKale McKay and DeMarcus Ayers.
-
I think he will be a rotational pass rusher but do it well enough to justify taking him high. He has a similar build to Vic Beasley and he is an everyday player.
-
He can play 5T or NT in spelling Goldman so he would be a good addition. I do believe Bullard has a breakout year. So that will temper the need for a high end 5T.
-
The whole off season has been to putting people around MT so if Nelson is there , he is absolutely our pick.
-
I have seen a few places where we are suppose to meet with Johnathan Hawkins/DT this week. Has anyone else seen that or is that just a writer finding something to write about.
-
Dont lay down on Harold Landry, I can see that being a surprise pick of Paces. If Nelson is there its a no brainier but after that a edge rusher.
-
I think they must see some value in Cooper and after one year in the system think he will improve on his poor play last year. They know what they have but now it is cheaper.
-
I think they use him in both situations. they have more options now and will be creative.
-
I just got back from Thailand for the last month and thought the problems were because I was in another country. I like the content of the people of this site and looked for it daily, thank God your back.

There is a possibility they think Kush is as good an option of what ever is left in FAgency. I think they will definitely draft a OG or OC and even a OT later in the mid rounds to groom to take Massies place.
