  1. You keep throwing out these big contract players, I just dont think Pace will do that. Last year he signed one player to real good money. McPhee got 5 years 39 mil. Osemele will command more money than that contract. I think we end up getting someone like Jeff Allen/OG/KC. He played well last year, came from the area, and will be get paid 5 to 6 million. I think if we sign a bigger contract it will be on defense. I think we will go after Jackson or Trevathan ,one of them will be a Bear this year, and not Osemele.
  2. I think Norman is going to be a high priced free agent and Pace has already mentioned that he wont be chasing any high dollar players. Many middle cost players will be more realistic .
  3. I still think Cravens is to light for an ILB. At 225 lbs he may be effective but with the abuse of the position,it will take its toll. Buchanan has did quite well, but that is a rarity.
  4. I agree, Cash is the only head scratcher. but like the rest of the draft .
  5. I would like Ragland if Jack and Smith are gone. He is going to be a long time starter with leadership qualities. Not as studly as the first two LBs but no complaints. I think we address Safety before we grab a CB but then that would depend on the board plays out. Otherwise a good job.
  6. I did a fanspeak draft using Drafttek's rankings. 11: R1P11 OLB MYLES JACK UCLA 41: R2P10 OLB SCOOBY WRIGHT ARIZONA 72: R3P9 G VADAL ALEXANDER LSU 103: R4P8 DT CHRIS JONES MISSISSIPPI ST 138: R5P11 QB BRANDON DOUGHTY WESTERN KENTUCKY 167: R6P10 S SEAN DAVIS MARYLAND 186: R6P29 TE DAVID MORGAN II TEXAS-SAN ANTONIO 189: R6P32 DT QUINTON JEFFERSON MARYLAND 198: R7P9 WR KEYARRIS GARRETT TULSA Jacks and Wright can both play inside and out and both provide pass rushing skills Alexander is huge and can start from day 1---him and Long on the right will be engaging Jones and Jefferson both lineup at DE and provide depth with upside Morgan reminds me of Zack Miller and was way productive Doughty is a quite an interesting prospect
  7. Explain the love for Nkemdiche? He is a stud but produced like a end string Penn State lineman. I dont like players that have effort and lack of production. To be a risk for that high of a pick. Many better choices at that spot.
  8. When Pace spoke after the season, he pretty well stated no big contracts but will go after more medium priced players. I think that rules out Wilkeson.
  9. FWIW Cravens is 225 lbs. As a ILB he will be to small to play there in the NFL. Arizona has got a lot of mileage out of Buchanan but he wont stay there for very long, you can get production out of smaller players but if you look at history they dont hold up over long career. He could play a SS and in sub packages line up at ILB, he is a good football player but fitting in a system that uses his talent wisely will get him a starter job but at SS. He is great in coverage, but does get blocked easily, as AZ brought up.
  10. I agree with you, i dont think he us a trouble maker, just quirky and selfish (wants more money)with everybody hurt, he was double teamed all the time with everyone hurt. He is a good blocker and cTchs the ball well. He has a contract if he goes along with the team concept, it would be dumb to get rid of him . Thjs is the first year miller has been relatively healthy, you cant trust his health issues

    Ragland

I dont get all the rave for Nkemdiche, all the talent in the world and didnt play that way in college. Ragland

I have several conflicting reports on Smith, one said he may not play in 2016. As far as I am concerned, you dont draft a player you may not see for a year. Hmm, Whites name comes to mind. That will not happen again. Nothing is for sure but drafting a pre injured player is not in cards. Jack is another story, he will be ready to play and would love him. Another name would be Scooby Wright, made it back from injury to play a few games. Will be a stud at the next level.
  13. no freaking way, just because they might be good prospects doesnt mean we draft a QB at 11. We have a QB that can take us to a good place, we should draft a prospect in the 5th or 6th round that we can groom for 3 or 4 years from now. Someone like Brandon Doughty or Kevin Hogan.
  14. Marshall is one of the top 5 WRs over the last 5 years, but he has lots of baggage. He wears his welcome out everywhere he goes. Teams rarely let great players go, but he is on his 4 th team. That in itself suggests many problems. If you have ever been around his personality type, he talks big but it is always about himself. It just doesnt fit well with team chemistry. You will see this new season, there will start to be problems because that is his history. We have moved forward and life is much better going forward without him. How long was he here? We didnt win anything, point made.
  15. It is all good for being quick, now it gives up more time to reel in a new guy.
  16. I think Forte still has valve, and would add to the mix if kept. Foxy always goes with RB by committee and would keep Matt fresher when he is in there. You offer him a team friendly deal, and if he takes it great, if not, just move on. Maybe a 2 year deal worth 7 mil, with 4 guaranteed.
  17. I personally think we should go DL with lots of prospects there at 11 and get Scooby Wright in the second. I think he will be a stud at ILB
  18. I think we offer Forte 2 year 8 million. If he doesnt take it, I can be happy with Carey and Langford going forward.
  19. We have to tag him until we see what we have in White
  20. we should make top 10 , its a moot point unless we are top 5 so, 6 through 15 are close in talent
  21. I agree, fill the spots we need help in , instead of trying to make players fit somewhere else.
  22. Time will tell, those are all 18 lbs, 12 lbs and 20 lbs more that Cravens. Could he be a stud, maybe, but likely not in the same class as those three. Odds are against him and would rather have A Ragland type than take a high pick on someone small. We need closer to sure things than risky picks.
  23. Cravens is a good player but at 222 lbs will never play LB in the NFL, SS will be his position at the next level.
