  1. At least no one can complain about a lack of offense anymore. -530 total yards -357 total passing yards -173 total rushing yards -6.5 yards per play -31 1st downs -8/15 3rd down -82 total plays -38 points Yeah....Ben Johnson is legit.
  2. Absolutely, doing what he was suppose to do. 6-10 detracts from how well he actually did. He had two throw away's, and Rome dropped one. The scheme will get players open and a better OL keeps Caleb on time and in rhythm. That works against better talented players also.
  3. Like Adam mentioned, if the QB is on time and out in under 2.4 seconds, the pass rush will not get there in time. The key will be the IOL, if they keep the pocket clean , Caleb will excel. Its just 1-2-3, hit the open receiver or throw it away. I can see less than 40 sacks this year if the OL holds up. I dont know who this is (John Middlekrauff) but he's not a Bear pundit , he breaks it down real simple.\
  4. They talked about the starters playing one series in the Friday game, according to Brad Biggs. We will see if that happens.
  5. Like you said, organized, no penalties, out in time. The biggest take for me was Caleb was 1-2-3 and out came the ball, he knew where he was suppose to go , players were open. He averaged 2.1 to 2.7 seconds on every pass play. The OTs took their blocks to the outside, as long as Caleb steps up in the pocket, he will have plenty of time.
  6. I think both TEs will be schemed open a great deal this year. Easiest quick passes you can get are in the center of the field.
  7. No Swift and Monangai, lets you know who's going to be getting the snaps.
  8. Ozzy looks really good playing RT, havent seen a mistake yet.
  9. With all the presnap penalties in practice, I dont think we have had one yet.
  10. Thuney isnt playing but the rest of the OL is in there. We are going to see a lot of passes over the middle , TEs are back to being part of the offense.
  11. Its all about perspective, they state Josh only had one interception, he had 3.

    Battle at LT

BJ is demanding excelence so our first assumption is everyone has been terrible. Truth may be somewhere inbetween. I think he is pushing Wright, not necessarilly trying to replace him. I think Ozzy looks more comfortable at the RT spot. I think he is seeing him as being the swing T for backup to both spots. Jones clearly is not playing well but Theo has been consistent so he gave him some reps at LT. Let the best T win.
  13. There's a difference between bad and mediocre. BJ is setting a high bar and that's a good thing but until I see the finish product, I'm going to wait until I paint it a problem. Braxton last year was by an NFL standard, an average LT. Lots of teams are unsettled at this time with their OL.
  14. Even if we dont solve the LT issue, there is one way to overcome it. Quick throws, running the ball. In the Miami game, Jones blew a block and the guy had a clear path to the QB, we threw a TD pass on that play.
  15. When we get ready to pick a draft date, I have a live draft on Sept 3rd, also Chad does on that day too.
