I'm talking about his dad stating, the rookie QB structure is unfair and I can see him thinking he's that special guy to change the NFL rules. You were one of the biggest proponents to not being sure about Williams character. Now after the combine, didn't work out, didn't do the medicals, E is all of a sudden, the next Mahones. Every high pick has a chance of not being worth where you take them, Williams isn't different. Po!es needs to be sure. He gets fired if he makes the wrong choice. We just change who we talk about.

The best free agents are going to get 20+ . With the Ravens DT deal that's what Wilkins is shooting for . Only a few RBs will get close to 10 mil_Poles may be able to get a bargain there. He will bring in another center but if won't be Cusenberry, he's probably the only one getting paid. 12-15 mil a year. I think he waits on Edge players, the first few will get paid but he will wait when he can GWT one on a 1 year 10 mil deal. Someone like Clowny or Floyd.

There is no doubt he has a talented arm but we also know many QBs have not been successful in the NFL not because of their talent but because of their character. He did the public relations tour about playing anywhere but him blowing off our 30 visit is huge. He's only doing the teams that could draft him. We are the most likely. If we draft him he will hold out. There is a pay structure in place but he thinks its not. fair. He needs to win the locker room and will only divide it more holding out..Fields is a total team guy, Caleb will come in with a me me attitude. It simply won't work. Just wait and see, I predict he will take his 30 visit in Washington before he comes here. He is going to try to get to Washington .I'm questioning his character, not his talent.

If you look at the high drafted players and money spent. It's been defense. I think they start investing more on the offensive side of the ball. I think a couple of 8 to 10 mil, nothing over 12 mil. Another OL? Another WR? I think maybe a RB.

Only Edmunds got paid the big contract. Edwards and Davis were 8 to 10 range.

They have to have options if they don't get their guy in the draft. They're not signing Cusenberry if he's getting 15 A year._So he will look to the draft.

Fields is one of his options. With no medicals on the logical number I option , he can't trade him.

Poles looks to youth all the time but he was a Titans leader , maybe he needs that. The DBs looked up to Jackson.

The Bears hosted Kevin Byard yesterday.

They have added Ryan Bates, Tar Moore/S, brought in Colin Johnson, Patrick Scales is back. . Poles is adding depth or addressing the fringe players on the roster. On Monday I expect him to bring in one or two targeted players. I predict Curtis Samuel, and Aaron Brewer, neither will be expecting big contracts and get the deal done quickly. I also expect him to bring back Justin Jones. Lots of Ss out there and he's not paying big money but expect him to bring in a reasonable priced player but that will take a week. Won't get done until after the dust settles from the first wave. I think he also addresses a DL player and maybe a RB. Wouldn't it be nice to bring in Tony Pillars as the Third back. Lots of RBs out only a few are getting paid.

How about Aaron Brewer? Him and Bates both play Guard and Center. Draft a Center, Tanor Bortilini. He has played every position on the OL. Can be got in the fourth round. The best player wins, multi positional depth.

I don't mean to rub it in but it's very hot in Thailand, that's why I leave Illinois.

Poles won't disrespect Justin by only getting a 3 rd for him. It only costs 8 mil to have him one more year and tell him to prove people wrong. You get to sit whoever QB and let him develop., Maybe some of Justin's work ethic , toughness and leadership can rub off on the new guy.

I think they are too, just not at #1. I think they target JJ McCarthy or Nix or Penix. They sit for a year with a 3 year vet at the reins.

Cusenberry is going to command top dollar, would you settle for Connor Williams that might not start until 6 games into the season?

IF Poles doesn't take him, he will have a reason for it. Before the Combine, you weren't settled on Williams, after the Combine now it's Caleb or bust. He didn't throw at the Combine, no medicals, A 20 minute meeting decides nothing. He smiled at a press conference and was confident. Nothing changed from before the Combine.

There's no inside information to Poles. Everything he's done has been unexpected. People just speculating and pretending it's sources. Last year we were taking Carter, it didn't happen.
