The case for Julian Blackmon (26) Played for Flus in Indy Played with JJ in Utah Only missed 3 games to injuries while in the NFL Valued at 7.2 mil by OTC 2023- 88 Ts- 9 PD- 4 int-2 FF-4.3% missed T rate. 4.52 40 time same as EJAC He's not costing big money. 4-30 mil? The top FSs will! command big contracts.

Also Poles tried to get Brian Allen when he went back to LA he was injured but was top 5 rated at the time. I can see Poles giving him a 5 mil one year deal to prove himself. Bates is the backup plan.
-
JPJ will be awesome but don't think we have a chance at him. Zack Frasier is a 4 time state wrestling champion. Power and unbelievable skills. I hope we can get him.
-
Slow process to build a team thru the draft, Poles said 4 years. He's going to get more draft picks.Add some cheap free agents (Blingings and Edwards) and will have a winning team.

To be fair to him there were quality players he tried to sign.but failed getting. For the most part we seen his backup plan. This year he gives more quality depth to go with starters.

Has any generational QB prospects ever won a SB?
Stinger226 replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
I've beenwatching hours of tape on him and he could be literally generational talent. My only concern is wanting to be treated special and how that translates to the NFL. As a rookie, he more than likely needs time to get up to speed. DCs will design defenses to counter him, great players everywhere and the fan base will be brutal if he takes a few years to develop. Does he have the stomach to handle that? -

That's going to happen very soon and we can all relax and enjoy the wins coming this year. -
He's been playing with it for two years. To his defense, he offered Joe Noteboom and Brian Allen a contract in his first year and tried to get Bates, failed on all accounts. Drafted Braxton Jones. His backup plans didn't work out.

Adjusted cap space is 38 mil after the rookie pool and in year money.

If Kap is your example of proper behavior, you may want to look at other videos he has out there. I can send you 40 videos of football people suggesting we keep Fields but that would be wasted time. You're not changing your mind and I'm not changing mine. When Poles makes his choices, I will move on from Fields. If he chooses Fields we will hear about Williams every week because you won't accept it. If he chooses Williams, I'll be all in on that. If we draft Williams, I hope you're right about everything, I don't need to do that while I still have the opportunity to have a different opinion. It's getting closer to not having an argument anymore. -

Poles will answer lots of questions by the decision he makes. If he drafts Williams or a different QB, I'm all in in that. He is fully venting his choices fans and writers don't. -

Finally, we have common ground. I totally respect your opinion with the keep no keep Justin. It's your condescending and disrespectful attitude because someone doesn't agree wit you . People aren't ganging up on you, they just don't like you telling them their a cult, stupid, silly. .Just stop getting personal. People know you can't stand me, I wouldn't be comfortable if you did, you don't have to keep bringing me up every time someone doesn't like your disrespect them. Odds of Justin being here are slim but still an option on the table. Until he's traded or the first pick is traded it's a heated topic. Its not just here but every where,. Great things going with the bears right now, let's enjoy that. -
On a lighter note, Justin Simmons got released by Denver. There are a lot of good safeties available , who can we get for a 10 mil type of deal? He's not over paying for anyyone.
-
The NFL is a composite of huge egos and JJ having a great year pushed him up the ladder. He's on the SCORE weekly during the season and he's a good guy, he signed because it's a good deal and players are realizing Poles won't over pay. Plus he wanted to be here, on to the next story.

In the last 20 years only Peyton Manning has won a SB as a elite prospect. That's not chump change . . It's a little hard to pretend that's a random stat. The morale of the story , more have been busts than great with the first pick of the draft. Not to say you can't get a good QB there but it's not set in stone. -
Very fair deal for both. We knew Poles wasn't setting the market with JJ, to many nagging injuries and only TOs came this year. That's a good sign he's going to try to win this year instead of pushing the wins down the road. We have to keep in mind they project the cap to go up by 50 mil next year. The QB money is pushing cap up every year.

Totally disagree, he has made progress. In the last 7 games , he was the 14 th rated QB in the league. Not saying he's all of a sudden, very good but he's not even close to Zach Wilson. -

F3 AA I'm not big on picking specific stats to push a narrative but just thought this was interesting with so many people calling Caleb generational. Simply put, A history of not winning SBs . one in 20 years is not a wishy wash statistic. I think it says more about the analysis process putting labels on QBs. Brady was a 6th round pick that became the best QB ever and Mahones was the third QB taken in his draft. I think they are just hard to find and hard to win SBs. -

Seen this on Twitter. Brady and Mahomes were never considered generational. Who ? Andrew luck - no Trevor Lawrence - no Joe Burrows - no Eli Manning was never stated to be generational Aaron Rodgers was never called generational Russell Wilson was never considered generational Matt Stafford wasn't Can anyone think of somebody? Maybe Peyton Manning, was he considered generational? In the last 20 years only Manning won one SB that was considered a generational prospect.

If they draft a QB and sit for a year, they will just keep Justin. Poles isn't going to wreak the culture he has built for a QB vet . This has nothing to do with the argument who is better. Drafting a QB and keeping Justin for another year affects nothing but you bring in a different QB to have for the year? Totally will lose the team morale. Whether Wilson is better or not, no one on the team supports that. IMO -

Rd ð That's interesting, someone wants to pay Wilson but Justin cost to much to keep for one more year . I'm all in on grabbing a QB and having him sit for a year and having ( logical choice) Justin play here one more year. That's what u think is going to happen.
