I dated a PI in my early years of college (she was really hot btw) and her family was just as you described. However, the Teo family absolutely LOVED the attention so much dad made stories of Manti's GF coming to visit him multiple times. I'm not buying they're "shy"....not at all.

I'm still excited about this draft to be honest- SMC and Alshon will eventually tell the tale of this class. It may be unfair to write off Hardin, but he hasn't played in two years...let alone suffering a serious injury. I do believe Mel's criticism of SMC is a bit harsh as I do believe he could be a house on fire off of the corner if he's turned loose. Emery/Lovie did state it would take SMC a bit to get stronger and adjust so year 1 for SMC to turn out to be a learning curve shouldn't be that much of a surprise. I also feel if Alshon can stay healthy he'll be a hell of a player. Mel was very wrong to say he lacks top end speed as he showed in W1 and several other times during the season that he can flat out run by people.

I certainly respect your opinion on this subject matter and respect your humility even more. Until I hear something like Te'o taking the Tuiasosopo family participants to court for a defamation suit---I'm not buying any "facts" that the Te'o family tells us to believe. I just find it extremely peculiar that it is another Hawaiian family that is on the other end of this "hoax". A family with a familiarity to that of Te'o as well...I find it much more logical that they're just "taking the bullet" on this one than believing Te'o didn't have a clue the entire time. The theory I just stated is just that- a theory. However, it is every bit as credible as to what the Te'o family has been telling us. If people want to take Teo's family's word for what happened- that's fine. If they want to throw stones until they get information that actually is objective and from a non-biased party- that's fine, too.

Lavonte David sure looks like a mainstay for Tampa at MLB and there have been several others that have thrived after being taken in the 2nd Round to start at MLB (Ryans, Tatupu, Laurinaitis). No one said there were "so called pending" criminal charges. The only thing I said was that local authorities are shaking the tree on him to see if any money was fraudulently obtained via this hoax and if he could have known about it. Read.

Oh there will be civil from media outlets everywhere- you can bet on that. In regards to saying "if there were criminal charges there would be something by now" that couldn't be further from the truth. An investigation pertaining to whether or not funds were obtained fraudulently could take 6 months to a year. Also- please remember this didn't go public until a week ago. Manti knew people were snooping around to see in early December- the rest of the world has only known for a week.

Per Manti's family they had already met a bunch of times. Also, unless you're an investigating party or a prosecutor with knowledge of an investigation- you should probably stay away from saying "this isn't criminal". I have contacts in the South Bend area that are shaking Notre Dame and Manti HARD with ZERO cooperation from Manti. They have been assigned to investigate alleged foundations set up in this fake woman's name IN the South Bend area. Will anything come up- maybe, maybe not....but don't pretend to know whether there was any criminal involvement here as this issue went public just last week. I am shocked so many have run to defend Manti on this. I was a HUGE fan of his throughout his career, but not anymore.

Well thats what a lot of us thought last year, too......I'll reserve any hope until it actually happens. I fear this organization actually likes Webb as a starter. I have no issue with him as a backup swing T, but he's nothing more than that.

No- you were clear the first time. We were on the same page as he could very well get a front loaded contract should he make FA. 4yrs/32 mil with 12 guaranteed and 10 mil the first year is very possible for him (he'll want 5 years, but yeah).

If that is the number it'll take to keep Melton- I'd rather he leave. Its tough to say that as he's one of my favorite players and I believe he's as good as any pass rushing DT, but he isn't worth that.
