New Bears Coach
Oh my....I'm leaning towards McCoy being the guy and I'm starting to really become excited about him.

New Bears Coach
I'm glad to hear that he is well. However, with him being 60 and having health issues- I'm a bit turned off by him. I could be out of line here, but those factors bother me.

New Bears Coach
If he's going from 12 to 2...do you think it is fair that he had his two guys in mind prior to the process? I don't think that's a bad thing and commend him on interviewing 12, but that just seems like a steep cut off to me.

Peppers
If the new coach brings Marinelli back and they run the Cover 2 (which I very much believe will happen as they're interviewing offensive guys) no way our starting Pro Bowl DE goes anywhere. Peppers was still a top 5 DE in the entire league with one foot. He's worth a lot more to the Bears to even what they're paying him.

That poor team- they're still balling today.

It would be great to see someone stand out and TAKE the job. It sounds like Sullivan is trying to do just that.

Oh my- Ron pulling his name out of the hat early.

Bears are going to have Salary Cap room
I prefer to live in fantasy world and just have both. However you're absolutely right and I'd rather they bring back Melton than sign Jake Long.

Emery knew his from his time in Atlanta AND Chicago.... also he fits the Rooney Rule requirement being black as you stated.

Emery press conference
I agree. I think it has been a long conceived notion just because people here feel Emery's #1 draft choice from last year was a 3-4 guy and it maybe tipped what Emery really wanted to do all along. I agree with you, though....I'd rather not switch and would keep most of the defensive staff should we hire an offensive minded coach.

Who are your must interview?
I think we should calm down on big names....I'd be surprised if we got one. Not because we couldn't, but I just don't see that as Emery's style. I see him as the type of guy who wants HIS guy...not someone elses. Just my .02 on that and take it FWIW. With that being said, I don't feel there are ANY must interviews as long as Emery interviews a number of qualified guys and picks HIS choice.

That offense with Cut would be saaaawwweeeeeeet.

Will Muschamp
Like I said he'd be a modern day Ditka for us.

Muschamp and his Gators will be kicking off in the Sugar Bowl on ESPN shortly.

Lovie Smith FIRED as HC
If he's waiting until 12:01am to call an OL he's waiting too long. The NFL would have had a cow if they knew what the Bears did talking to Peppers agent at the combine the way they did a few years back. We need to tamper and not get caught....you know this.

Why not Chip Kelly? People say Kelly has his QB run too much for the pros and that couldn't be further from the truth. The difference with Kelly's spread is there really isn't ever a called QB draw or scramble....the QB only runs when he wants to in that offense. I personally think Cutler's athletic abilities are highly underrated and he's a much better QB on the move....he'd fit that offense like a glove as would the rest of our offense. Put me down on spending $15 mil/year on Chip Kelly. (Well not really but that's probably what he'll cost....I'll bet Phil Knight got a chuckle when Payton only got 8mil/year).

Eh- can we end this argument? All he said indirectly is that we shouldn't pretend to know more than scouts. He's right.
