Lots of quotes from talent evaluators who say there was general consensus on him, from a pure talent perspective, being top 5 in this entire draft. In 2nd round, you take a guy like that as long as you think you have the right support system. ADHD, big freaking whoop. If that is all he as, it is an absurd overreaction. Pot is an issue for one reason, he could get suspended if he can't control himself.

He was #2 on my list of defensive players behind Williams and think he'd be an exceptional value pick in round 2 (presuming the psych eval on him checks out). That said, I don't mind a little crazy on the line, as long as it isn't the get arrested crazy, haha.

Per Aaron Lemming, Bears covet Gregory.

Landon, Gregory (if he isn't clinically insane) or Fisher would be my preferences. Landon would be a really nice get. Really like the Utah corner as well.

I like L. Collins, Fisher, Rowe, or Gregory.

I really want Marcus.

I am on the get a QB bandwagon if we like them, but absolutely not to what is being proposed in that scenario. I'd do Jay, Forte, and our 1st for the #1 but nothing more then that. And that is because I buy into Winston as a legit #1 overall QB prospect.

Yeah, I figured this was more of the obvious, he isn't a 7.5M player vs. the Bears saying anything about whether they have written off Shea or not.

I thought Fox publicly stated that he liked Shea coming out of the draft? I haven't heard anyone on the Bears brass say they don't think he fits the 3-4.

Agree; He's still young and he's a dynamic TE. I'm not trading one of the top TE's in the league for a 3rd round pick. However, if someone wants to give us a 2nd, given our current state and needs, than I'm down.

I think Dix was the better player and prospect. However, part of this is how a player fits in a particular draft and Collins is the top safety prospect and a team looking to fill that need could take him at many different points.

On your 2nd point, that would be a stellar first two picks.

Given last years draft and the recent success rate on WR's taken early, I wouldn't be surprised if more ended up going off the board sooner vs. later.

I still think ideal scenario 1 is one of those QB's coming to us. Next one is Williams, otherwise I am okay with top wideout, moving down (to grab DT / OLB / CB / Safety). I don't want a safety or CB at 7 (am okay with later on in the 1st). Clearly I'd puke if we took a RB @ 7 and while I am a huge fan of olineman I probably would prefer to move down if we were going to take one.

No thanks. If you are going RB, do it later in the draft or at the very least trade down. Picking one at 7, probably about as bad of a pick as we could make all things considered.

I think with Tillman, we would never know. He has never been the type to air his dirty laundry through the media. I think if Tillman had went through the Urlacher situation with Emery, the public perception would have been different because Tillman would have simply "no commented" it. The interest thing is, he hasn't yet spoken about anything yet, however, I like how McCaskey came out and said that as soon as he retires we will welcome him back with open arms. I still think we are a better team with him on the roster and would have loved to see him give safety a shot.

Such a sad day for this franchise. An all time favorite and an all time great. I hate seeing him play in another uniform. I wish Peanut the best of luck and want to thank him for not only the amazing football he played in Chicago but how he handled himself as a member of this franchise. An all time great player and an all time great role model for kids. You'll always be a Bear Peanut!!!

I am pretty much always a believer in moving down and accumulating quality picks (e.g., as many round 1-3 picks as possible, preferably the 1st two rounds.

I have not been pushing for Marcus but he clearly has nice skill-sets, etc. Projectability is hard to predict but by all accounts his make-up is off the charts and he's a hard worker. The question really is whether he can make the necessary tweaks and put in the time to excel at the NFL and if he is smart enough to play at the NFL level (deal with anticipation / look off safeties, etc). That is something that really no college QB has (or very rare that a college QB excels at it, especially in this day and age) so it is hard to gauge. Reason people are so comfortable with Winston is he's been in a system where he's been able to demonstrate some of those NFL skills for 2 years. If Bears like Marcus, I'm all for taking the cap pain and getting the #2 pick and losing Cutler and trying it out.

I have long said I think Cutler and Titans make way too much sense.
